I'm having a lowish calorie day today, just sticking to lean protein and some fruit. After work I'm headed to the coast with my DS16 and tomorrow I should get a lot of walking in at the aquarium and shopping. I wish it wasn't going to be raining because there are a couple of places I would like to hike there but maybe next time.

Any other hikers here? DH and I have a book on Oregon hikes and we love to just choose one and take off for the day. He likes the hard ones and I like the less hard ones but it is such a great workout and beautiful to boot. I always choose ones that lead to waterfalls and he always chooses ones that lead to great views(IE- top of the mountain). Our plan is to work up to a week long hike where we pack all our stuff in but I am definitely not ready for that yet.

That does sound good!

Cathy, I love hiking, but hubby does not. We compromised. He loves driving off road in his jeep, so I get the exploration part of getting to the waterfall, lake, whatever and if I have a dog with me I'll often hop out and head up the trail ahead of him while he putters through obstacles or hangs out chatting with other 4 wheel guys. I did have a bit of a scare with 'something' in the bushes, so will only do this with a dog, though! lol

Hello Lovelies!

Congratulations on everyone's loss. I'll be there with you shortly.

daisyHair - I like your new avatar!

Back from my day in Charlotte. I did eat well but am still having problems with constipation (sorry for the TMI) and haven't exercised since Thursday night. I did not cheat while I was away but probably ate more calories than normal. Sunday night I had a 12 oz ribeye from Texas Steakhouse along with salad and green beans. No alcohol, either!

Monday I had some dental work done so I didn't eat much until yesterday around 2. Ate roast pork along with stewed cabbage and unsweet tea. No dinner because still full from Sunday's meal and lunch.

Right now, I'm eating a BLT lettuce wrap from Jimmy John's. Hopefully, the Ducolax will help me tonight so I can step on the scale in the morning!

Bron, do you have/eat Coconut Oil? I had my first tablespoon of EVCO yesterday afternoon and another tablespoon and a half or so in my coffee this morning... more TMI, but two bm's in two days is pretty unheard of for me when doing low carb.

misscobi - I need to check on doing that. I used to put coconut oil in my coffee and my husband (named Coby) found the jar and threw it away, thinking it was old! Thanks for the advice - I'm not in pain but am getting desperate!

I love your husband's name

Couldn't hurt to give it a try. I ordered Nutiva from Amazon & for two 52 ounce jars, using their subscription service (from 1 month up to 6 months and can cancel at any time) it was only $46.50 for the two. I chose 6 month intervals and I don't know if we'll need two more that soon or not, but I can cancel or up the interval if needed. I already divided up the first jar and put some in the bathroom to use as moisturizer and left one in the kitchen.

I did it!!! I found 233 again! Geez that took a long time... but I am back there and that is what matters! It took 10 days for me to find it again... I know there were many variables to the gain but still was frustrating. Oh Also... I found the famous "Shiritake Noodles" locally!!! I am so looking forward to trying them! I rinsed, boiled and seasoned 2 packs last night (from what I hear texture is better the next day), one italian style, and one seasame flavoured, and they are waiting in the fridge!

Congrat's Boop & Misscobi!

Boop-not sure if you know, I'm the resident shiratake advocate Make sure you prepare them first since you are new to them. Here is a quick guide I made:Low Carbin' Made Simple: How to Prepare Shiratake Noodles

And here is a recipe thread for them:Everything Shiratake...

I weighed this morning and I was very happy to see 215.0. I know I was up yesterday even though I didnt weigh.

Will post a menu soon.

Yes! I spent a good while yesterday looking at some of the threads you have created, and drooled over many of the recipes! I am so excited I found them... On that note... I found 2 brands same ingredients, but the calorie/carb count on one is double the other brand... any ideas why?

I'm not sure without knowing the brand or seeing the labels. If they are flavored that may be why. Or the serving portion could be different.

Down a lb this a.m., woo hoo, kind of surprised as have been a little lenient, but eating mostly the right food. Just goes to show that portions do matter and soup is good for weight loss. Now that the busy part of the week is over I can focus more and do some cooking so still going for a 3-4 lb loss this week.

Would like to go out for a walk cuz it is so beautiful outside, but my legs are aching something awful, so guess I better use the exercise bike instead. Just got to find something good on tv otherwise I get so bored.

Yay boop and Tami! MsWoods thanks for those links, one of these days I'll get up the courage to try the noodles and rice.

Have a good weight loss day everyone!

Michelle, still waiting to celebrate that 214 with you! Soon....

Nice Job, Heidi!

Glad to see you pop in for a minute, Jenny! Hope all's going well!

My yard is a swamp after the last few days of rain. I'm counting cleaning it up as a workout. lol Where the dogs spin and change directions while playing there's a puddle about a foot deep and 6 feet across. There's always been a little divot there, but it's insane now. Trying to figure out how to fill that in and get grass growing over it again. Should be fun. I just spent the last 20 minutes trying to displace the water. Didn't work. I have a little bag of wood chips, but I see that the ones I used last time for that were washed out to the edges and aren't doing any good. Yeah. Should be fun! lol

Back from my trip. I did fairly good not great but I'll admit it was NOT easy eating low carb in Hawaii since my family did all the shopping and is not in line with my way of thinking. I did have one splurge day so I will report in a couple days the actual damage but I doubt I'll see below 185 any time soon.

Looks like you guys have been rocking it since I left. So Jealous!!

Bounce Bounce Bounce... I think my scale wants to be the Easter Bunny this year. I *almost* saw 255, but not quite. Tried a couple more times and it read higher. Oh-well.

Hope everyone else is doing well!

Morning all! I am weighing every other day now... so will report any loss/gain tomorrow! However I want to tell you I made a dish with those shiritake noodles last night and it was delish! I used some tofu and chicken and broccoli and the noodles for the sauce I loosely based it on one of your recipes MsWoods, with soy sauce and rice vinegar and peanutbutter.... it even passed with the hubby! (who has started to LC with me!)
Hope you all have a great Thursday!

OH MY! Weighed this morning and up 7 pounds!!! I can't believe it! I was really good too. Ate almost entirely low carb with only 1 day of some splurge items. I did drink a lot of alcohol and I'm probably severely dehydrated since it was hot and I didn't keep up with my water, but 7 pounds? Really? I'm almost back up to 200. So here's the deal. What is everyone's go to, fastest ways to lose weight ever? I need them desperately. What works best for you guys? I've got to get this weight off fast, my belly is shaking like a bowl full of jelly

Brewstate-learn from it. Don't drink alcohol and dont eat off plan lol. I have had to stop both for now just because I can't stand seeing those huge gains. I do it too. Drink lots of water and eat very low carb.

I'm back up to 216 today for no reason what so ever.

Boop, glad your hubby's on board and glad you enjoyed your noodles

Brew, yep... I think we've all been there. Like the others said, VLC and lots of water.

Amgarrett, woohoo on the whistle... low life or not that feels good (and creepy, but whatever!) lol

Soon, Michelle, soon.... you know you're working it and the weight will follow along in it's own time.

Anyone else ready for the weekend? Wish we could just skip tomorrow. lol

@232 this morning!

Yesterday's food:
B - none except coffee w/creamer
L - 2 fried porkchops, stewed cabbage, unsweet tea
D - broiled scallops and oysters, green beans, lettuce salad w/ranch, unsweet tea

Things worked themselves out yesterday but I really need to get some more coconut oil. I am still hopeful that the scale will show 229 by month's end but...

Have a great day everybody!
