SEXY THIS SUMMER....6 MONTH CHALLENGE!!
 
This thread is a carry over from the SEXY FOR SANTA - 4 month challenge thread.....

PLEASE JOIN US!! We love new people, livens up the thread and gives us all accountability!:jumpjoy:

We will weigh in once a week.... Fridays if that is good for everyone....either I can keep a chart, or if anyone else has some spare time on their hands, I would be more than willing to hand over the reins :)

Post your menus daily so we can see what you are eating :) We may not all be on the same plan, but we all have the same goal! TO LOSE THE WEIGHT ONCE AND FOR ALL!!!!

I am starting Atkins Induction today.

Day #1

Menu:
B: nothing ( I know, I know....this will be remedied, I was running late this a.m.)
L: salad(lettuce, bacon bits, cheddar,cauli, cuke, boiled egg, ranch dressing) and baked fish
D: baked pork chops, green beans

I am also trying to not drink any more diet sodas. So far today, I have had none. I will get a very large water when I go down to get lunch.

Today's starting weight.....220

Glad to c this thread. I have looked DEEP into the ole soul to figure out that I am doin this for ME! I am startin again at 174.6. I would absolutely love to b in a bikini at the opening of my bff's pool this summer. Goin into day 4 of low carbs and really liking it. Gettin back 2 the gym tomorrow. woohoo:workout:

My name is Tasha, I live in Missouri also :), I'm 44 yo, I have a dd that just turned 24 and a son that just turned 18....and the apple of my eye, my granddaughter who will be 2 in March. I've been very happily married for 20 years, have two cats and a dog :)

I have been on this wave of dieting since I was in my early twenties. I've lost 50+ pounds more than once with Atkins....my issue seems to be keeping it off. SO. I am tired of being everyone's fat friend, tired of feeling fat, tired of looking fat, just tired of the fat.:annoyed: I am sticking with this, and am hoping to find what I need during this time to figure out how to keep it off this time.

Today's menu:

B: 2 eggs
L: salad(lettuce, bacon bits, cheddar,cauli, cuke, boiled egg, ranch dressing), crystal lite peach tea
D: 2 hamburger patties with lettuce, mustard, mashed cauliflower with butter

I am going to set my goal for 15 pounds as well.....I am going to aim high! :) I am in another challenge and I think I set my goal way to low and allowed myself too much wiggle room....I think I need to set high goals and push myself. No room for slacking! :)

Jennifer, when I have done induction in the past, (I usually stay on induction levels throughout), I usually lose about 20 pounds the first month and 10 each month after that.....that is, if I do it correctly with no cheats.

I downloaded an app on my phone to plug in my foods and it counts my daily carbs. Helps a lot!!! Has an alert that at a glance tells you how many you've had for the day.

One of my main issues is that nobody else in my house takes me seriously when I am on Atkins and constantly berate me for what I am doing. Ticks me off. My husband fills the house with sweets and is constantly frying things and making gravy....he is country, country as they come, and was raised on all this. I keep telling him he is not 18 anymore and has to stop eating like he is....to no avail. Very disheartening though when nobody is behind you to help and support. So, I have to make two meals for everything. I try to make the two coincide, and just make them a starch, but is aggrivating nonetheless!

Cheryl, weren't we on the same thread when the website reset everyone's post totals? I was thinking I had been here since 1999 or 2000, and then they reset all the totals somewhere around then....I know I was on here when my dad passed away because I can remember Sherry talking to me about it. Weird....I can't remember what I did yesterday, but can remember that.

yup, I remember that, I still have the paper with the addresses on it somewhere, I came across it a while back. I tried to find Susie's name on an old thread to send her an invite, but couldn't find it.

CW 209 That's not as bad as I thought it would be. We have ate junk the last 2 weeks. I'm no doing Atkins or induction, so don't get confused by my menu. It is not low carb but it is a lower carb diet. This is a diet I'm doing with my husband. I may go back to Atkins in a week or 2.

Menu:
B - Nothing ( I had a morning dentist appointment that took 2 hrs)
L - 5 Turkey sticks and string cheese
S - 2 Packs raw almonds
S - String cheese
D - Chicken taco meat in a flat out wrap with cheese and sour cream. Pringles


Everyones meals look yummy. Next week I want to get back into salads. I :heart: veggies.

Happy Thursday everyone! Busy day today, so just doing a driveby....

Today's menu:

B: eggs, 2 pc bacon
L: salad, diet pepsi (I know, trying hard to cut out the soda)
D: baked chicken maybe, will be in a rush, but going to either have that or another hamburger patty with spinach

Day 3 for me and no cheats!!:up:

having my girlfriends over tomorrow night for our Christmas, so having to clean and cook up some snacks....going to browse the recipes and find me some I can have so I don't cave and eat theirs! :)

Okay - I did not weigh today because I feel really bloated:sick:

My plan is to go food shopping tonite, start some sort of induction today and
I will weigh on Monday which will be my start weight - okay??

I had Chinese food on Monday and still feel it - will NEVER EAT IT AGAIN, DD talked me into it.......and all I had was chicken with vegtables. Oh, and a pork egg roll, and fried rice.......:hyst:

On to a new year and a new me!! Be gone all the bad food that makes me feel sick and onto losing this big gut that makes me soooooo uncomfortable!!

Good morning everyone! Today's the day(we'll exception you Cheryl :) )

well....was I pleasantly surprised when I stepped on the scale this morning.....started at 220 on Tuesday morning, actually saw 222 Monday night :eek:, this morning was at 213.0 :D Not really worth jumping for joy over, but close. ;)

I haven't cheated once in going on 4 days today.

Today's menu:

B: 1 egg, 2 pc bacon
L: salad(lettuce,cuke,cauli,eggs,bacon bits,1/2 tsp sunflower seeds,ranch dressing, 2 green pepper strips), diet pepsi
D: not really having dinner....low carb snacks

tonight am doing girls night, our Christmas with my two best friends, we're running a little late this year. Is at my house and I've made snacks, for them and for me. I made a cheeseball that is out of this world, it's called Fisher Bacon Cheese Ball....WONDERFUL!, however it does have a little milk in it, so if I scrape any off, won't be much! I am also making shrimp cocktail and shrimp stuffed mushrooms. Those, I can have within reason. I also will not be partaking of any beverages, which I am assuming they will be....I usually do, but don't want the alcohol to stall me since I am on such a roll!

We are having such warm beautiful weather here for Missouri, very weird, but I'll take it, just hoping our spring isn't another really stormy one!!!
