It is a type of crabcake that a restaurant sells here in Maryland; it is pure jumbo lump crabmeat, formed into a small mound, with a bit of mayonnaise and seasonings, just enough to help the crabmeat hold together, no breadcrumbs, no filler at all. Then it is broiled and served with 2 sides, and yes, it is expensive! We only go (sometimes) for special occasions, so it was a wonderful surprise when DD and her hubby surprised the whole family with a dinner of it last night! So this is the leftovers, that and the green beans; can't wait until lunch!!

Oh you guys are making me crave crab and I was just told I should never touch any seafood because I'm allergic. Some give me a rash but a lot never bother me. I don't really care for the Allergy Doctor now.
Ok, I am sticking with it pretty good but not pushing the exercise enough so going to make sure I do zumba tonight. I want to see a great number tomorrow. I am a daily weigher and have even packed my scale for vacation before. Not taking it to the Bahamas this time though. Everyone have a great on plan day for tomrrow is weigh in day.

A few days away from here feels like a lifetime! I've been insanely busy at work and thats when i usually pop on. I've also been sick with that nasty nose/throat sore and stuffy deal that's been going around here. At least today my teeth don't hurt!
![]() ![]() ![]() I've stayed on plan though- one month in and it's pretty much a no brainer when meal time comes. No real cravings for the most part which I love, but it's coming off so SLOW! Unfortunately I've been so busy working all day and into the night I haven't gotten on the elliptical (which i was just getting used to) and my eating has lessened. I heat up two tilapia filets for a quickie lunch, and then snack on beef jerky later in the evening. 2 turkey sausage patties for breakfast while i'm driving to work. Maybe that food reduction is a good thing, seeing how food has done me few favors so far... ![]() Glad our thread is so hoppin and that everyone is doing well! Not looking forward to weigh tomorrow... i just have a feeling, even though i've stayed away from the scale for a week- something I never thought I'd be able to do! |

Good morning all and happy Friday. I've stayed on plan all week and am down 2 pounds. 172!!! Getting closer and closer to my feb goal of 164
Saw my doctor last night and he is very pleased with my shoulder. No more arm sling unless I feel that my arm needs support I'm about as happy with that news as my weight loss lol Looking forward to the weekend. Going to check out the running room clinic. Yes I've decided to take up running. I think I've had lots of practice running to the fridge, running to the scale that I should take the running outside lol Hope you have a great Friday and weekend. |

HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!
![]() ![]() ![]() Such relief and surprise this morning.... 200.4!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() must be the fish. when i see 199 on the scale, I think I may slump down the bathroom wall like a victim and sob. Joyously of course. ![]() ![]() ![]() Which means I'm probably about to become addicted to the scale again. Yesterday i tried something new with lunch, made a wrap with a lc tortilla, chicken slices, few pieces of bacon, and shredded cheddar (heated up and melty) and rolled like a burrito, then I dipped it in buffalo ranch dressing. btw... I am a self admitted salad dressing *****. I buy a new one every time i'm at the store, use it a few times, then toss it after about 6 months of non-use in the fridge... It's a problem. ![]() |

Happy Friday everyone!!!
I'm not so happy about my Friday weigh in... nobody else's fault but my own though. Still at 218.5 So happy for the rest of you and your losses!! I'm trailing sadly behind the low carb wagon....have you ever tried to catch up to someone and they stayed just out of your reach? That's what I feel like. Gotta somehow get the gumption to do this. I keep telling myself that quote I heard the other day... "If it's important to you, you will find a way. If it isn't, you will find an excuse" There is so much truth in those few words. I will update the chart and post before I go home. Tata!! Have a good weekend!

"If it's important to you, you will find a way. If it isn't, you will find an excuse"Love it Tasha! So true...I need this kind of words to keep going, it's so hard! 2 years ago I lost a ton of weight and really fast, 40 pounds in 3 months and now it's not happening, can't find what I am doing different. I had a baby, may be my metabolisim changed, not sure!Any advice? |

Also- I doubt this has ANYTHING to do with it, but since I've been battling the sore throat demon this week, I have been drinking a good amount of pickle juice out of the jar. Boyfriend snapped that i need to stop because the pickles are going to dry out ![]() ![]() |

Argh... my weight has fluctuated a lot this week... my lowest this week was 191... and today I was 193 again.. (I weigh myself in the morning after going to the bathroom and before breakfast).. however.. I have been having some "issues" in the pipeline in that.. there isn't a whole lot going on! Hoping my stall is just a backup problem.

Hello friends, doing okay, had a small slip-up this morning; was going to fix a LC pizza, and found that I didn't have any more motzarella cheese left (other members in the house fixed pizzas and used the rest of it up, bummer ...) so I grabbed something else, and it wasn't LC ... So, picking up my bootstraps, and went on and fixed my LC cole slaw and it is delicious, very LC, filling and satisfying. So moving on, gonna do my hula hoop this evening and looking forward to some good fried eggs tomorrow morning!

Hello friends, well, I didn't make it to Curves this morning like I wanted, so will be heading over there in about an hour to get my weigh-in (slept in late) - here's my menu for today:
B/L: pizza on LC wrap w/onions, mushroom pieces, pepperoni S: LC yogurt D: small bowl of beanless chili, side salad with caesar dressing (no cornbread for me!) S: cup of LC cole slaw (if needed) I'll be back later with my weigh-in ... ![]() |

Hope everyone had a great weekend! I know mine was only 2 days and that's just not long enough! Behaved myself all weekend- not too challenging at this point. Went to a mongolian bbq place on Saturday and I wasn't 100% on most of the sauces, so i stuck to stuff that i knew wasn't too bad (vinegar, garlic, etc...). Sunday i was ravenous! i ate 2 buffalo chicken wraps with blue cheese, 4 cups of coffee, 2 turkey sausage patties and a few pork rinds for late breakfast- early lunch, then within 3 hours was staving again so i made a skillet tuna melt with a slice of havarti and shredded cheddar. Everything was on plan, but i still stayed away from the scale this morning. A dose of Diet tea maybe in the stars to make sure everything stays in motion...

Just posted our chart from Friday's weigh in. If you have a weight you want added, let me know.
Another day 1 for me. I feel like I have it in my head this time....we'll see. B: eggs, bacon L: salad with ranch, hamburger patty D: baked chicken and green beans Snack: boiled egg and mozz cheese stick My goal this week is to drink a 32 oz of water each day. Will try upping it each week. I'm not a water drinker....hate it actually, so this will be a feat in itself! Dh bought me a Xbox Kinect this weekend. Bummer though that I have to have an HDMI cable. You would think spending 400.00 on it that they would include the stupid cable. So....anybody have any suggestions on exercise games for it? I'm getting psyched |

MinPin- you may try taking some magnesium tablets if you don't have a problem with magnesium. I take a half of a 250mg tablet every other day when I start having plumbing issues....really helps!!!

Hello friends!! I had a slip-up on Sunday for dinner, but I got right back on plan, as you can see from my menu for today:
B: 2 eggs fried in butter S: Dannon Light & Fit carb and sugar control vanilla yogurt L: Bubba burger w/cheese, di'jon mustard in 1/2 LC wrap, side of homemade LC cole slaw D: Atkins chocolate shake S: shelled sunflower seeds Don't let the carbs continue to call you; see every day as a brand new day of LC eating, we can so do this!! I'm at work today, toe can only fit in a pair of summery sneaker-type of shoes, so that's what I'll be wearing for a while - glad the daytime temps are in the 50s this week!! Quote:
Re the Xbox Kinect, my DD has one and she told me that my grandson works out on it and loves it!! I'll find out which ones she has and will let you know!! ![]() Quote:
I have drank the dieter's tea in the past, it does work!! See my response to MinPin to see what I'm doing now to stay regular --Quote:

Dinner Recipe
Oh Snap! This is what I'm making for dinner tonight. Grilled Ribeye Steak with Onion-Blue Cheese Sauce | The Pioneer Woman Cooks | Ree Drummond
onion blue cheese sauce?! Could it get fancier at home??? Instead of doing Valentines Day, the boy and I celebrate the 13th... was the day we met. ![]() ![]() And i'd been looking for something decadent to make that would be on level with low carb. This. Is. Perfect. I'll post review in the morning! |
