Hi! I love that there are so many joining the challenge.
I'm doing ok. Tom is here and I have the cravings big time.

Tasha - I hope your back gets better soon. When I was 19 I did something to my back and it took 6 months to cure. Sometimes it still acts up. I feel for you.

Good luck everyone! Liz

Welcome to all our newbies!!!!

Tasha, have you tried massage? I would definately recommend it! So sorry about your grandmother.

Hooligan, your stats are very similar to mine. I am in my late 30's, started at 222 and am currently 152.2. I have lost 70 pounds have 12 more to go. I also just stopped smoking. You can do it!!

Tasha- I am so sorry about your Grandma, I will say a special prayer for your family.

So here is my food for today. I am trying to follow Weight Watchers but struggle and might have to go back to my weight loss clinic.

Here is today's food:
Breakfast: Branflakes with blueberries and skim milk
Lunch: turkey sandwich on low carb bread with mustard and a salad
Snack: orange
Dinner: baked chicken and green beans

Last night I did 25 minutes zumba on the Wii and then 4 more Just dance songs that I love. Tonight is a gym night.

Keep up the good work guys we can win this battle.

Joining Challenge!

Count me in on this "Sexy This Summer"! I started back up on 1/3 after an 8 year break from my last round with Low Carb.

This 6 month challenge is perfect, as I have a great deal of events coming up in May and NEED to look saucy! Hoping by end of January I'll be around 195. (big goal i know!) I'm very strict with my way of low carbing, know what works for my body from the last time I lost with this way of eating, especially since I have a desk job and exercise veeeerrryyyy little, theres no room for cheating and nibbles... say off of the orange cupcakes my boyfriend is keeping in the fridge until he can share them with me...

My Weights:
1/3: 217
1/6: 210.4

Will weigh in again Friday with the group!!! I'm very excited, I try to stay away from the scale but it drives me mad not knowing, so having a Friday regime will keep me sane the other days.

Good luck all, can't wait to share our success together!

Hi everybody (what a crowd! yay!)

Ashamed to admit I completely failed on the low-carb front, this past week. Unsurprisingly, I have not lost any weight...
I'm battling an eating disorder and keep dropping the ball elsewhere because just trying to be normal saps all my energy. And now I'm making excuses: oy. Will do my best to get back on track with LC from now on!

Tasha: I am very sorry for your loss. My own grandparents seem to get more and more frail with each passing day -- I cannot imagine losing them.

Hi everyone, been a good read catching up with you all. My week has been busy too, it's turned colder here with snow.

Feeling very energetic and have been in ketosis since early part of the week. I really like this Atkins Induction seems to "fit" me.

Good news is I'm down to 183! So I'm happy. Hope you all have a great weekend! Karen

Hi, everyone!

Not sure why, but i haven't had much of a appetite lately. Haven't eaten anything since this time yesterday. I realize this is not good for my metabolism so as I type this I am forcing myself to eat 2 slices of Turkey Salami and a slice of cheese. I guess I'll have a glass of low carb lemonade too.

Weird because I have never forgotten to eat a thing!

Oh and I weighed my self today and I'm down 2 more lbs

New to the group...

I would love to join in ... I am new to the forum and new to low carbing it.

I am turning 40 this year and my 13 year old and 9 year old are running me into the ground! I have got to to get this weight back off

I started Atkins this week and I am down only one pound...however...I am horrible with drinking enough water.

Anyway....good luck to us all

Make a game out of drinking the water, it helps at first and you need that water! Right now i'm sitting at my desk and as soon as I finish typing this one line, i'm going to take 5 big gulps of water.... 1,2,3,4,5... and so on and so forth... it gets the water in, and eventually chuggaluggin' becomes 2nd nature if there is a water bottle nearby!

tasha- sorry about your grandmother

Can i join you guys? i really need a place to be and i feel this is it

i need to lose 20lbs. hopefully 5lbs. by the end of the month.

i am married mother of 3 adult children 26/24/22 that still live at
home making it very difficult to low carb successfully. i am the only one doing low carb..i have been a yoyo dieter my whole life, always playing with the same 20/30 lbs..it is much more difficult to lose now that i am in my 50's. i love lc..i feel so much healthier when on plan.
i am starting this challenge at 158lbs.i have been stuck here for last couple of weeks..i need to up my water intake big time..and exercise more.

i am experiencing the onset of cellulite. i hate it..i shouldnt say onset i have had it a few years but is much worse the last few months ...does anyone have any suggestions? good luck to everyone.

why is drinking water so difficult for so many of us? hum?

i am thinking about blondies idea of making it a game(good idea by the way)..the prize for playing the game well is healthy looking skin as well as other health benefits.

my goal is to drink more water starting now..i drink way too much coffee..
