You should really have your thyroid checked out. That right there could turn around everything for you if theres an issue with it. If its a hypothyroidism deal, it'll continue to make weigh loss a challenge as well.

I'm trying trying trying to stay off the scale!!! 3 more days... i'm having a rather enthusiastic TOM so i know getting on now is bad as mother nature is still wrecking on me. but it's like my toes just start inching in the direction of the scale on their own!!!

I have hypothyroidism. Have had for years and am on medication for it. He has to adjust it about every other year. Thyroid problems run in my family, my sister had graves disease, now has hypothyroidism, my uncle has graves disease....my dad has hypothyroidism...so, I didn't stand a chance.

LOL, I know what you mean about your toes.... mine do the same thing.

My mom was diagnosed with Hypo about 12 years ago... So far I'm okay- but I guess only time will tell...

I have a few issues with it other than the normal ones....I have tachacardia occasionally from it(not sure I spelled that right). Also have to be on blood pressure medicine because mine goes sky high for no reason, I can be sitting still, not moving. So....kinda weird the things your thyroid does, but not fun when it is out of whack.

Good morning, where are all our posters?

Got on that stupid scale again this morning, and was up yet another pound not sure what is going on....TOM not supposed to be here for another week, but maybe that's it? I don't know. Need to stop getting on it.

Today:

B: nada
L: roast beef salad, crystal lite peach tea
D: grilled shrimp, asparagus

I haven't started exercising yet, giving myself this week to get over this stuff I still kinda have hanging on, including the headache. Will start Monday, will start off with 3 days then the next week go up to 4....see how I feel and maybe up to 5 the week after that. Gotta start moving. Think that will help me a lot!

I need to kick up the excersize also. lol wait- kick up? how about just start.

got on the scale this morning. 197.4 that's about a pound since last friday... so i'm starting to slow down on the losses. I should start measuring instead because i feel my clothes getting looser, but i don't think I'd measure acurately. How do i know i'm putting the tape measure in the same spot everytime?

Triumph: Made cookies last night for a co-workers last day, and wasn't even tempted to eat one... The cookie dough on the other hand smelled sooooooo good. but I didn't eat even a little bit of it!

I'm on track, had 2 chicken thighs for lunch and while the family is talking about having hamburger helper for dinner, I plan to make my beanless hot dog chili. Well, I tanked didn't even make it two weeks. last night and so far today. Disgusted with myself. I weighed this morning and knowing better, did it anyway, staying at the same weight, but my hands are swollen today, has to be from the additional salt from the crap I ate.

Hope everyone is doing well.. I'm jumping back on, not sure if it will be today, more than likely tomorrow, of course, weigh in day, but I am not continuing this stupid streak....

Just had to tattle on myself.

I had a very sobering moment. I have 2 pair of jeans right now. 18's that are rediculously huge, and a pair of 16's that fit decently but have ripped along the zipper and it's gotten too big to keep hiding with long shirts. I really wanted to wait for more loss before buying new stuff... I went to target on my lunch hour and grabbed the SAME jeans I have at home in the 16's and tried them one. They were really tight in the waistband. If i wore them for a few nights, they'd be stretched and fit fine, but in the meantime... i'm bummed. i secretly hoped they would glide right up over my bum. i bought them anyway. i need jeans!

Weighed in today at 169...not thrilled, but, not disaapointed either. I am still down 1.4, was hoping for 2. Oh well...a loss is a loss. Atleast the scale is going in the right direction.

I did not weigh this morning because when I got on, it said "ZZZZ" not sure what that means so, thinking I need new batteries. I will get some and weigh on Monday.

Good morning!! Had a crazy busy few weeks, and I have cheated here and there - I got on the scale and it's the same, so I'm grateful I didn't gain! I went to Curves and found out from the Curves instructor about a park and planning place that has a spin class in water, so it's like a spin class water aerobics class - can't wait to try it out, gonna research that one right now!! Would be perfect for a great workout and also be gentle to my joints; I'll keep you posted!!

Good morning ladies...sorry I've been MIA, things have been a little crazy....

I am at 220 as of this morning HOWEVER, I started Zumba last night, kicked my butt! I could only do 3 sessions, and it wasn't pretty, I was even doing it at the Low Intensity level. I'm not a dancer, and the movements are a little difficult, so I tried to keep up as best I could and when I couldn't, just free-styled Back on plan today, tonight I will walk on the treadmill for 30 minutes. Tomorrow night I will do another Zumba session, etc. I also have biggest loser for kinect, and I think next week I will work that into it as well so I don't get bored.

Today's menu:

B: nothing, forgot actually
L: not really sure, I usually get a salad, but today is free lunch for employees and they are having lasagna with rolls... not sure
what I'm going to have. I will venture down there and see if they have
the salad bar open, last month they didn't I guess if they don't, I'll have
to leave in this 40 mile per hour wind to go get something to eat.

D: hmm....maybe beef roast, not sure about this either, haven't gone to the store, but can always fix me a salad and nuke a chicken breast or something.

I am BACK!!! I am here to kick some butt!! - I am done moving Danielle to Jacksonville, done with Vegas trip so there is nothing stopping me!!

I will weigh in tomorrow and take it from there - not sure but I don't think I gained - we will see!!

Hey Cheryl!! I'm back to making excuses again. The week started out good, now not so much I weighed last night and was 220.5 ) I'm with you. I'll weigh in tomorrow, I need to prepare again. I have Ella tonight and tomorrow night and Saturday going to St Louis with dd, but I need to learn to deal with every day situations again.....so count me in! We are going to Florida again, wanted to go in May but Spencer graduates the weekend we would be coming back, so that is out. Was the only week in May I could go. Hate that my job dictates when I can take a vacation like that So, looking like it will be the third week of June before I can go again. That will give me about 3 and a half months....I can do some damage in that amount of time if I would just stick with it. I can't even imagine getting in a swimsuit right now, so gross, just rolls of fat and flab.

Me too Cherylg, I would have good eating days, and other days, not so good, but I am now back on track and doing fine!!

Hello folks! Wanted to share that my DD has picked up on her working out, doing zumba and also going to Curves, working out a good 5 times a week, and I remember when she did that, she got so skinny! So I told her that I'm jumping on that train too, went to Curves last night, and plan to go again when I get home. She smiled and said come on, that there were plenty of available seats on the train!!

Re the spin class held in the pool at the fitness center, I called them and found out that they are repairing the pool and it won't be available for the next several months, bummer ... They have regular spin classes, but with my knee/joint issues, I think that would be too much for me, so I plan to investigate some indoor water aerobic classes that I can sign up for. That's all for now, TTYL!!

I just noticed Valerie that you are from the D.C/Maryland area....I used to live for a short time in Charles Town, WV and worked in Frederick, MD. Loved it up there, so beautiful!!!

Tasha - this has to be the hardest thing to do - right now I am starving and could go for something carby - I CAN'T EVEN MAKE ONE DAY!!
A bathing suit???


I remember about 12 years ago how I did Atkins and stuck to it with no problem

IntheLight - I spin at least 3x a week - several of the girls wear knee pads? - but it is alot on your knees.

Yes, I work in the heart of DC, about 3-4 walking blocks from the White House, and live about 7 miles from DC (in the suburbs). I know what you mean, beautiful countryside in WV, gorgeous ... DC is alive at nighttime, with all of the many monuments lit up, and Christmas around here is spectacular!! So much to do, so many places to go, I do love it around here!!

Yeah, that's what I figured, that it is really hard on the knees - and I also remember when I did Atkins many years ago, and lost 43 pounds, changed my whole appearance, folks didn't even recognize me; why is it so hard this time?????

Okay, I am so pissed at myself, so pissed -

I AM AT 200 TODAY!!!! As hard as it was to get to onederland, I managed to get back - AAAAAHHHHHHH......................

Just getting the vent out - now to really get serious here.............I am sure those 5 will come off by Monday but my goal is to be 189 by March 31!!!
