Hi Amber,

I love the video of the Honey Badger. It even grabbed my husband's attention lmbo!!! It was awesome!!! I would love to be a honey badger. I have to not give a ish and deal with this fat the way the honey badger dealt with the cobra snake.

I however cannot begin until the 10th of this month. Waiting with bated breath. I look forward to being a badass honey badger. ;o)

Oops got side tracked and didn't write about today's plan
I did the Eliptical yest. Today a few of us are going to try Zumba....I'm nervous but excited! It looks fun. Wish me luck
I was snacking again yest all planned foods but nibbled here and there only true full meal I had was dinner. This is pretty normal for me, as long as the scale goes down and I'm making good choices I'm hoping it will be ok. I just feel better when I eat that way. I do have a meal plan, one of my goals these 12 weeks is to keep up with that, I eat what's on that plan just spread out over the day....
Feeling good today!! Let's Rock this HB's

Work is nuts must be full moon soon or something, I needed a badger break in lieu of cig!

My bad ass message must have worked yesterday with the doctor they called in the RX I am starting the Chantix tomorrow, so my official quit day will be 1/19/12 if not before, I remember when I took it last time, I quit way before that cause they really tasted awful, the nurse said I see you had side effects so I had to schedule an appt for a month out to have my head checked, LOL That should keep them busy! I circled 1/19 on all my calendars that is the day!

Thank you for the thoughts on my Mom's friend, she was such a lovely woman, beautiful inside and out, it makes me so sad!!!! I think I got pink eye too from my niece and nephew, good grief, what else?

But I am in honey badger mode with eating, all good so far!!! I am hungry I am glad it is soon lunch time!

OK dont have a lot of time, but you know I am cheering for all of you!!!

Needs 2 be healthy- YOu can join on the 10th but you have to give your heaviest weight and your weight you were on New Years now, then weigh in on the 9th, doesnt matter if you are not on plan, but if you want to join, you gotta be accountable anyways. I added you, just fill in the number! Getting you ready to be a badger, LOL Whatever the number is doesn't matter, no one judges and no one cares, we are only going down!

Good morning Honey Badgers! I hope everyone is having a bad-assed, very successful day.

Amber, so sorry about your mom's hairdresser. Her family is in my thoughts. I think that just emphasizes the need for us to get as healthy as we can - 54 is waaay too young to go.

Kristyn, congrats on the 180s!! WTG!

Beebug, I'm just appalled at that lollipop incident. Some people have no shame (or manners or thoughtfulness or lots of other things). BTW, the pics of your kids are adorable - I love the red hair. And you're looking good too!

Cass, congrats on another day without the cigarettes.

I haven't gotten my exercise in yet, but I'm planning to get on the elliptical machine shortly. It's supposed to go up to a high of 47 degrees here today, so I might even go outside and walk the fat dog later. That's unseasonably warm for us, but still much too cold for my liking. I grew up in Pennsylvania (which I thought was really cold under I lived here), and then lived in southern California, and I will never like or get used to the weather here in the midwest. I guess I'll take solace in the fact that I'll burn more calories trying to stay warm.

Something good I can do at work. Thought I would share!

Microwave Scrambled Eggs and Cheese

Prep Time: 1 minute
Cook Time: 75 to 90 seconds
Makes: 1 serving

2 eggs
2 tbsp milk
2 tbsp shredded cheddar cheese
Salt and pepper

What you do:

1. COAT 12-oz. microwave-safe coffee mug with cooking spray. ADD eggs and milk; beat until blended.
2. MICROWAVE on HIGH 45 seconds; stir. MICROWAVE until eggs are almost set, 30 to 45 seconds longer.
3. TOP with cheese; season with salt and pepper.

This book, The Diet Cure by Julia Ross, has been mentioned before, Seth, but if you can get a copy it might be worth looking into . She mentions glutamine as an amino acid that helps cure sugar cravings. I think there are also a lot of posts on here about it. You might do a search.

Work is nuts must be full moon soon or something, I needed a badger break in lieu of cig! YAY Amber - that is a start!!! I hope the meds from the doctor help and don't cause mental issues. That side effect is scary.

Sending prayers for your mother's friend's family. As was posted by many of you, that is way too young and taking good care of yourselves is the most important thing we can do.

There are so many posts this AM - what a great challenge and it looks as if you are ALL doing well. Honey Badger is a motivating animal!!!

Hugs to ALL

Thank you SeaBreeze for mentioning that book and supplement again,I need some of that, although I am always surprised how easy it is to keep that urge suppressed by not eating the junk, once you have the junk you want more and more, it is a terrible cycle!

Welcome, Jean!

Congratulations on that 8 pounds, cingless! That's fabulous.

Well, this honey badger chased cobras on the elliptical machine for 50 minutes (but I didn't eat any because I'd already had breakfast).

Hi all! Wearing my new dress today...it is so hot here. Today is just a typical Thurs for me. Dropped YDD at preschool and took ODD to ballet, picked YDD up from preschool and now I am about to get lunch and teach ODD her lessons for the day while YDD naps, then we will take YDD to gymnastics this afternoon. I need to do a bit of shopping on the way home. I am all out of my magnesium that I need to take so I don't get stopped up lol. My weight hasn't budged at all since Mon. That is annoying but I am sticking to plan. This morning I had to eat out so I got an egg bowl from Jack n the box (sans potatoes). Not sure what I want for lunch...probably a salad or a cheeseburger.

Thanks everyone for all the good encouragement I so appreciate it!!!!!
About diet drinks are the flavored waters like propel ok and like the crystal light kind of drinks? Those are what I like best. Advise please.
I do have something to say about Splenda though.......this summer I had ants....they got into a bag of sugar! It was terrible!!! I put the bag in the sink and drowned the ants!!! Well, they were also in a bag of Splenda that I left open and it was filled with ants too but they were all dead!!!!!!!!!! Scary huh!!!!!!!!
Dumb me......I still use it!

I still havent started excercising yet. I can barely walk but my son is bringing my excercise bike in today so I can start using it!

Today I ate:
coffee with heavy cream
2 fried eggs
1 sausage patty

snacked on cheese and pickles

For dinner Im having:
Baked chicken tenders with a rosemary/sundried tomatoe spice
Green beans w/butter

Again any input is welcome and wanted!!!!!!
Thanks all!!!!!

I def don't like that I have to eat so many artificial sweeteners. I tend to organic/natural eating and I know all of those chemicals in sweeteners can't be good for me but I guess I choose to eat those rather than stay overweight. Honestly though I really have to be careful with splenda because I don't feel like I loose much weight when I eat that vs other artificial sweeteners but there isn't really any way to know for sure.

Maybe the ants died in the Splenda because there are no nutrients. Ants love to live on sugar!!

Just a thought to make those of us who do use the AS's to get by some days that they are not killers!!!

Hello ladies! I made it through another day with no cheats. Can't wait for the weekend so I am away from all the temptation for two whole days. Once I build up my tolerance again, I will be fine, but all the Thanksgiving/Christmas carbs are still haunting my stomach, lol.

Sara lots of blockage here - I need the magnesium! Did some walking at the mall, but the darn "sale" signs kept pulling me into the shops. Martini u are too funny! Sounds like everyone is on plan and kicking it. I am having a low carb friend to lunch tomorrow! So I'm roasting a chicken, making faux potatoes with cauliflower, salad and going to attempt a LC lemon meringue pie (will let e1 know if it is edible). Keep up the good work HBs!

Well this honey badger had no cavities, so I am off to the gym for yoga, I cant wait-- I wait for this all week, I missed it last week meeting HB Nancy, that was worth it though, LOL

Glenda- your food is looking good, I know I live on too much splenda, but geez, I am trying to cut back, it does contain real sugar which drew them in, maybe cause there was so little they died? I like SB answer to make us feel better, LOL

I am using on less drop per cup of coffee so I figure that is like 8 less drops a day I have not done so well on cutting the coffee with it being so dang cold, LOL I should take those nasty green tea bags to work where it is cold and drink it straight and hot, it is nasty when you are a hard core coffee drinker, LOL I like strong black tea, but the green tea was just sort of blah to me.

Glenda- you can take any cheese put it on parchment paper and nuke it and make little crispy cheese treats, throw some seasoning on to mix it up, I like sesame seeds, garlic powder, chili powder whatever I am feeling like, I love them! They are satisfying as all get out! My personal fave is gruyere when I am feeling spendy enough to buy it, in a pinch plain old shredded cheddar works too, I just make a little pile, you have to experiment with your microwave for the right time. I love them broken up in salads or on top of soup.

Carry on kids we are all having a great week, I cant wait for Monday we are going to have big losses for the first weigh in! I added a column when you enter your weights it will tell you your 2012 weight loss!

Glenda- I gave up splenda in my coffee and now don't miss it all. I will have an occasional Pepsi one though~they are really good!

Hi Glenda,
I use diet drinks daily and have no problems. Water is best, but one thing at a time! Get your momentum going on plan first! Worry about AS later!
That's my 2 cents for what it's worth!

Kids- I was thinking in yoga, I dont do well with the whole clearing the mind thing!!! LOL

We have 41 people in this challenge now, I am thrilled!!! Do you realize if everyone lost 2.4 pounds this week, our little honey badgers will be down 100 pounds???? I think we are going to go way past that!!!! We have a lot of post holiday bloat coming off, I want you all to remember we are a team too, that is what keeps you going, it is an individual battle but a team one as well, we have to support the badgers that are struggling, and the ones that are doing well need to be congratulated, I know coming here and seeing this active board, there is no way I am screwing this up for the pack!!

Yoga was great, I feel so stretched and not so sore, I wish I could do that every night, I could do it at home I got a dvd, but I like the teacher she is all calm talking and relaxing, as crazy a person as I am I find that so intriguing about a person, she even speaks softly at you when we chat, and I am like, what??? I cant hear you! LOL
