mixed bag!!!

i had success connecting the audio cassette recorder. it plays and records. However, i STILL cannot play my DVDs. I cannot access my e-mail, because i do not even remember my password. there is also no where that says e-mail for me to click. the guy from tech support at work is working tomorrow. perhaps he will be able to talk me through it. It is time for me to order dinner. Chopped steak or spare ribs? EVEN I DO NOT KNOW at this juncture. I hope everyone enjoys their Palm Sunday. I hope to make to WRATH OF THE TITANS. FF

Hope Tony will help us out on getting IX started in the morning.

FF, did you get your DVDs to play last night? DH bought a little portable DVD player yesterday. I think it ran about $60.00. The golf course he will go back to work for in May has a brand new mower and they lent him a DVD on all the bells and whistles it has on it. This DVD player has ear phones and a remote with it. I may start renting movies again. Love that you can sit where ever you want and listen to a movie with ear phones on. It was a Sylvania brand. Of course the screen is only 7 inches wide. LOL

Tony, you sure have alot of irons in the fire! Keeps life interesting doesn't it! Maybe you can pick up an audio of the book The Hunger Games and listen to it on your travels. Then the kids will allow you to watch the movie with them. lol How did the pulled pork roast turn out? My nephew just came back from Texas with bottles of Rudie's BBQ sauce. It is so good.

I bought a pack of individually frozen Tilapia for dinner yesterday. Baked it on parchment with a little parmesan cheese sprinkled on top and then served tartar sauce on the side. You know I am not a fish lover but it was so mild and I do love tartar sauce so I was quite happy with it.

Will check back in later Blitzers. Have a terrific Saturday!

abi, the pulled pork was wonderful!...started with a dry-rubbed pork butt - put it on a small rack inside a covered turkey pan - added a bottle of beer and a little water to the bottom of the pan and slow-cooked the whole thing for 6 hours...OMG!...then i took it out and let it cool for 15-20 minutes, and then separated the meat from the fat - a 30-minute job!...pulled the meat apart into shreds and added a bit of bbq sauce and mixed it all up...

it was soooooooo tender!...for the kids, i lightly toasted a whole wheat roll, put a slice of sharp cheddar on the bottom of the roll and piled it high with pork and dribbled bbq sauce on top...for me, i melted the cheese on top of a pile on a plate - it was just DELICIOUS!...i want some more, after describing it... :-)

abi, the tilapia sounds yummy too...how's mom's house coming?...

ff, when you retire, i'd like to apply for a job as your technology advisor...and i know very little about the technology developed after 1980...ha ha ha!

let's all have a great day today...if no one volunteers, i'll try to remember how to set up blitzes and post a link!
