The dinner with ALL of his family and ours was in the works a couple weeks ago.
We were supposed to go to a wedding yesterday that I had rsvp'd to - I will send a card of course, and explain when I run into the groom's mom......it was family style anyway and not plated dinner......

I did have MK... it's cool that we do this! None of the other theads that I do have an exchange, but then we have been together as a group for a long time.

Debbie, Alyssa's little preschool friend's mother works with Sean at University of Dayton. He is a professor in the Mechanical Engineering Dept and she's a professor in the Electronical Engineering Dept. They've known each other for 8 years, she said Hope was less than a year old when he joined the UD staff and he already had custody of her.

I really hope he is the one, he's a very nice guy, very respectable and SO FAR, no lies, dang! How did that happen? It's just so nice to see her happy, he was the one that initiated the "relationship" on FB... so that is a good thing that she's not imagining things, etc. He's the first one of her guys that initiated wanting to meet her parents. We didn't meet any of her guys before Brad, we met Brad on Prom night then it was months before we saw him again. So, I'm praying that things do work out, if not, he's shown her that it wasn't HER that was the problem, she always wondered why Brad never wanted to take her places and thought something was wrong with her.

Going to bed, hopefully on this new phone I will get a new alert to this thread, it did on my Blackberry but never on the Droid.

Morning!

Another week and it's going to be a doozy - work is crazy, I am off campus doing Golden Apple kick off Wednesday morning, gone all day Thursday for mass registration in the trades division and off on Friday, so this week should go by fast!!!

And the PUnits come Thursday.

MK - I don't think the other girls would want to take that kind of a jaunt - this is a shopping trip, so they will want to stay right around Michigan Avenue! For sure we are doing breakfast Saturday at West Egg though!!!

Happy Monday - I need an attitude adjustment! DD's told me yesterday that ever since my ear issue, I have been a negative nancy! Guess I needed it though!
So today the attitude is adjusted..........

Super busy week! Nothing got done last week cause I wasn't home so house is a wreck and I'm not able to keep to my schedule of getting the entire house the way I want it. It's coming though. I can't *really* complain. About the only thing really bugging me right now is laundry!

I was in a terrible mood Saturday. Snapped at my mom and everything. Felt so badly, I brought her a miniature mum on Sunday and we spent some nice quality time together. Still in a bad mood, but I'm trying to push through it.

Gotta go feed the boys and make Henry a lunch for his field trip. Hopefully start a load of laundry too before heading to the bus stop.

DS20 informed me he doesn't have class today. Midterms I guess. He had to hand in a paper for the class today. I am not sure if his math class has midterm. He does tests after each unit. His third class ended but he has to take the test again. Failed by 3 points. I am sure he didn't study.

I have to leave in 15 minutes and I am not dressed and my hair is wet. BBL

I just lost my post

I went to PT. Today was heat and stimulation with the tens type machine. He did an evaluation and I still hurt with certain movements. He feels I should have the epidural tomorrow. I dread it but will do it.

I go back to PT Wednesday and will start core strengthening.

I came home and walked 2 slow miles. It is beautiful out.

I then did some required self study for work. I think I am done. I have the two days of class this week. I have a 4 hour class next week. Hopefully they don't add more. They always do.

I need to go study for the class this week.

I'm back...

I got everyone out the door and took a quick walk with my neighbor before the fog cleared while it was a little cool out side.

We, of course, had a (normally) busy weekend. There were games and homework and DS18 worked and DS14 had plans...
DS18 did get to sit down Sat with his coach to discuss college. His coach picked up the phone and made some calls for him.
One of the schools on the east coast he is looking at was here (well, South LA, but sorta local) for a tournament and the coach asked us to come up Sunday for their game. We hopped in the car early Sunday morning, drove up, got to talk to several students, an alum, some parents and the coach about the school.
We watched them play and then went to lunch with the team after the game to continue the conversation.
I was happy that most of our conversation was about academics, not athletics, even with the kids. They all asked DS18 what he planned to major in and talked about admissions, schedules, teachers, classes, dorms... (and food, of course, that's very important to teenage/early 20's guys)
One of the kids works in the admissions office as well and he mentioned the advisor for that major is "really cool" and very protective of her students, he said she goes out of the way to help them out if they have a problem in admissions or with their schedule.
The coach mentioned that one of their main focuses is to be recognized by the NCAA for their collective gpa and they are very close to hitting that number with the men's team. (the women are already there, of course)

Now, to try to visit the campus... (the coach wanted him to come out next weekend, but we have a tight sports schedule, so there's no way we can make that work)

(we'll try to hit all of the campuses, 3 of them are close to each other in Pa, one is near NYC, so that will be one big trip and DH said he will go along on that one, the others are all within driving distance from here, so not as hard to see)

still not studying so better get moving. My back is tolerating sitting well so this is good!

Need to call DH about my DS20s car. He didn't pass emissions test and needs work done on car.This will not be cheap.

It is hard to get his car in when he has school and work.Hopefully it can be done on Saturday.
