Hi Ladies! COld here today. What a pain. I really hate it in my OLD AGE. I did walk tho for only about 40 mins, up to the cemetary where my aunt, 2 uncles, gramma & grampa are buried. No loss in the weight dept tho, just staying the same unfortunately.

That just aint right!!

Well I'm officially a gramma. I took Jamie in for a routine stress test Friday and they sent her right to the hospital. They induced her labor slowly and told me we would have several hours so I left to get some stuff. Then I'm at the mall and get a call with Jamie crying saying they are taking her into emergency surgery. I barely got back to the hosp in time. She was scared cause they just came in saying the baby was in trouble and putting the oxygyn mask on her. Apparently the baby was stressing everytime she had a contraction and his heartrate was dropping. the dad just got there when they were wheeling her into the operating room. She is fine now, but baby is not getting enough nutrients yet so they had to stay in the hospital and he is under the incubation light. He's a little jaundice. I didn't go up there today since I kinda had a cold and didn't want to spread germs. So lots of excitement for me this weekend! No weight loss however

I am staying the same, even tho I am skipping a lot of meals!! I did have a huge margarita last night. and boy was it good.

I think my walking is over for the year now. Its not getting much above 30 this week and lots of xmas parties on the horizon. I am giong to try not to over indulge. Good luck to you both with healthy eating!

Hi Angie, Thanks. we are praying too. His name is Kavyn Cayn. Guess she didn't want a name anyone else had. No worry about that. He weighed 5 lbs 12 oz, 17 inches long. He has not gained any weight tho. They are still worried that he is not getting enough to grow. She is going to keep trying to breast feed tho and hope it works out. She may be released tonight at 6. I did get to hold him a lot the day he was born. Then the next day he had to go under the incubator light as he was a little jaundice.

He's doing good. Goes for his first dr appt tomorrow, 2 weeks old!! We are driving them since Jamie can't drive yet. We went over yesterday to watch him for a couple hours so Jamie could try to get some rest.

So glad to hear that Diane. A vacation without gaining is quite a good accomplishment. I've been staying about the same this month so far, trying not to gain. It seems like I've been eating quite a bit, but I am hoping it does not catch up to me. Big xmas party last night with wings and pizza.

Did you have warm weather at Disney? What did you do that you liked the best? Did you do the Micky xmas party??

The temps were nice, not too hot, not too cold. It was rainy the first two days and cloudy off and on for the rest. This is one of the few times I haven't felt like a sweaty mess after a day at the park. It was nice to be able to ride on the bus at the end and not worry about me smelling badly or me having to smell someone else

What did I like the best? Hmmm, I have been a number of times, so not much is new to me. I did see the Festival of the Lion King for the first time and that was quite enjoyable and we saw the Candlelight Processional with Neil Patrick Harris and that was nice.

We did do the Christmas Party. I am not really sure it was worth it. Even though everyone has to leave except for those who paid for the party, it was quite crowded. The first hour was nice and noncrowded, but by the time for the parade, then fireworks, it was crazy. I don't think I would do it again.

It sounds like you had a wonderful time! We are already looking forward to being there next October. Also booked a short vacationt to Mexico for this Jan since we start babysitting in Feb. I wont be able to lose enough to look good for the trip, but I am hoping to drop 10 or 15 in a month so I can at least fit in my jean capris. There will certainly be no 2 pc swim suits!!

Yes weigh tomorrow and think of how nice it will be your son is here. THat will cheer you up. Mondays are not as bad when you are retired. Thanks Diane. I hope you and Angie had a great xmas also. For me, I am glad its over. I am not much of a xmas person, just a lot of work for me. I love seeing my girls of course, but the whole thing is just work for us. I don't even like to shop. Only good part is the leftovers and even those have wrecked havoc on my diet!!! I think I gained a few more pounds. Walked outside today, and have been just eating once a day but still too many calories. I got Kettlebells for xmas, someone else mudst think I need to work out a little more!!!! It looks really hard, but I will give them a try.

Hi Guys.

I enjoyed time with mu Son so much. Gosh it was so hard to see him go. I am so proud of him. We had a great Christmas.

He bought us a plasma big screen TV. He helped us hang it on the wall before he left. ( Thank God he did, I was scared to think how it would have turned out if DH did it alone)

Work has been BUSY!!! It has been consuming me.. Closing out 2011, and then all the things that have to be done to get the new year started has been crazy.

Missed you Guys.

I bet you did have a wonderful time with your son Angie. He sounds great! Christmas is not my thing as you know, just work to me. But it didn't used to be that way, so hoping maybe it will be better as years go on and grandkids come. It is such a joy seeing the little one now, I was over there for several hours yesterday. I had fogotten how quickly they change and grow.

Doing a little better on the weight loss, down a couple but certainly not good enough. Long ways to go. But Atkins is all that works for me so back on it!

Hope you both have a great day. AND keep in touch. This old retired girl needs to hear from her Atkins buds!!!!

so I don't hold the babies too often.

The place I volunteer has several babies, but one little guy, age 4, has decided I am only there to play with him so I don't hold the babies too often. Hope you both are doing well. My dieting hasn't been too good this week, maybe next. Hmmmmm
