I am still eating OK, not gaining but a little standstill on the losing too I guess. Too much going out again. Still biking and jogging a little bit. I feel down some steps and had a concussion so not much exercise for the last couple of weeks. I still have a big knot on my head. It was an unpleasant experience

I hope Diane is doing OK too!

Hi guys,

Still here, just not online much. Gaining instead of losing, back to where I was in 2003 or whenever it was I lost weight. Got a dr appt ( just routine on Tuesday), so maybe that will give me a good swift kick in the fanny.

Started running, well, for a few times anyway. I volunteered at school to help coach a kindergarten through grade 2 run for fun activity after school one day. Then I figured I would help out with the girls gr 3-5 a few more days. I ran more than walked the first 3 times, but since then, have barely been able to walk. Not sure what I did, but really messed up my knees. So, still going to coach, just walk and cheer the kiddies on.

Gwad, I sound really depressing. But really, things in general have been pretty good! Middle DD graduated college, passed the boards and got a job!!!! She loves it. School started for me, not doing aftercare this year, so that is kind of nice being done earlier in the afternoon. Not much else I can think of.

Good Morning to you both! So glad to see that both of you are still around. I get nervous when I dont hear anything for awhile We have been keeping in touch for so long now; I dont want to lose you guys. I am glad we are all still trying. I'm still SLOWLY losing a little here and there, but mostly hanging at a standstill. I've lost the 20 pounds but very hard to keep losing with the weather cold and the days shorter. I think it really helped to be able to get out and keep moving more and sweating. But I am not giving up over the Winter. I hate being old, sure makes life less fun

Have a great day!!!

Wow, Kris 20 pounds is great!!!! Keep up the good work. Still hanging in there on my end. I did have a low carb pizza last night that was just like the real thing. I sauteed italian sausage, mushrooms, onion, a little green pepper and pepperoni and piled it on a l/c tortilla that I slathered with marinara sauce & put on the griddle to make crisp and then put mozz. cheese on it. It was fabulous! ( I might eat that every night.)
Frank's concert is this weekend and I haven't yet tried on my jeans....scared! I will tonight and I am praying that they still fit. UGH!

Wow I want to try that pizza!!!! It sounds great. We have been eating out at restaurants so much that I haven't really been LC. I've just had to eat half of whatever I order and bring the other half home. Which means the refrigerator is so full of leftovers! DH can only eat SO much!!!!

Stay strong!!

Yeah, I have been eating at home, or calling them and picking it up. The problem is The day after the concert, all the musicians will get together and jam and will have the food catered by the best mexican food place in El Paso. I am doomed. My downfall! LOL

Good morning,
Frank's concert went great. I had such a great time. There was a lot of people there that I haven't seen for a long time. I did go off plan on Sunday at the jam but went back on plan on Monday. I did agree with Frank to go off plan once in a while with the majority of the time staying low carb. That made us both happy. How are you guy's doing?

so glad you had a great time Angie! I am at Daytona Beach biketoberfest so NO being on plan for me. I have been trying to not to overeat but it is pretty much impossible. Had Mexican tonight and 5 beers but it was early and now I am going to bed early. I will get up and walk on the beach tomorrow really early. It's a lot of eating here tho. I have to be raelly careful that I don't gain back everything I lost before the wedding next week or I wont fit into my dress. I am sure I am up some alraedy. they do have carb friendly free breakfast tho I am so happy to be in the warm weather again and able to walk on a beach. It just makes me so happy.

Nice Kris, Have a good time. I am being strict lowcarbing during the week and having a cheat day on the weekend. It makes both DH and I happy. Saturday was my first time trying it...and Yes it was mexican food. LOL. I didn't overdo it. Didn't eat the rice even though I wanted to and only a spoonful of beans. We will see how this is going to work out.
Have fun on the beach.
Is Diane at the Condo??
Have a great day!

I hope that works for you! Similar things work for me. I stay home all week being good cause I am not around bad food then try to only eat a couple of bad meals on the weekends. I think it will work for you On this vacation I have eaten a BAD meal every day tho. I am not around a scale so dont know what I've gained. I feel like I've gained a little, even tho I dont eat lunch and just a little for braekfast. They actually have eggs bacon and sausage here for the free breakfast. I've walked the beach every day, but it's not raelly like exercise. Its not much. Mostly riding on the Harley.

I guess Diane must be at the condo. Haven't heard from her in quite a while. I know she's havin fun if she is at the condo!!

So far so good Kris, but it has only been one week.Last night I had a bowl of pizza toppings with pizza sauce and mozz cheese. So good and filling. Have fun at the beach.

I am back now from the long Florida vacation. This is the first vacation ever that I lost one pound, instead of gaining the usual eight I walked an average of 9 miles a day and skipped a few dinners which paid off.

I hope you are both well. It has been very quiet on the site. Please post or write me whenever you can.

miss you both,
kris

Hey Kris, glad to hear that you had a nice Florida Vacation! Even better to be 1 pound lower, can't beat that. Things have been pretty quiet here. I am eating too much, so I guess that kind of makes me not want to sign on to the site. Oh, well, I am happy, so I guess that is what counts. (Not really, but I can pretend).

Dont stop posting Diane! I always want to hear from you. The 3 of us have been communicating so long; I'd hate to lose touch. For 4 years my weight was way up and just this year for some reason I have learned to eat less and lost actually 25 pounds this summer. I am sure it was the walking, biking and chasing the baby around. At least for awhile. I am sure I'll gain and lose all my life. We actually have Kavyn now for two days and nights. Unfortunatley he has pink eye and broncidus and all kinds of problems. On 4 meds including steroids and a breathing machine which he fights like crazy. It is kinda hard for us and very exhausting but we are doing teh best we can.

time for kavyns breakfast so more later!!!

It really isn't that I stopped posting, I have just stopped getting on the computer much anymore. I check my email ( and often do that with my phone) and that is often just about it.

I guess the little guy is getting big now. It is a shame he has been so sick lately. It is hard to see babies suffering. I hope he recovers soon.

You are doing great eating-wise!!! One of these days, I will get disgusted and do something about it, but right now, I am feeling good so it isn't on the top of my list of to do things.

How's retirement treating you?

Retirement is so great. Of course I love it. No problems with missing work, altho I do miss seeing all the people. There were 210 folks in our organization and I saw almost all of them every day so I miss hearing what they are doing. Only see a handful now. I love being able to walk and bike ride most everyday and the thing I like the most is being able to travel. We were in daytona a week at biketoberfest and then disney 2 more weeks at my oldest daughter's vow renewal at the Floridian chapel. It was great being on vacation 3 weeks!! Epcot wine and food festival was going on so it was great running around the disney parks for 12 days. Got in some beach time too. Still kinda looking for beach property in Florida but nothing concrete yet.

so glad to hear from you Angie. I am not on any plan either right now, but keeping the weight down to just over 135 & back & forth. I'm just skipping meals here and there and trying to walk a lot. EVENTUALLY, I want to lose some more and get down to 125 but that may have to wait a couple of months. I'll be happy to get thru the holidays with no gain. Really going to try. I hope you both had a nice Thanksgiving and your families are well!

Hope you both have a great holiday season. Merry Christmas!

Hi Diane,

So glad you checked in! I miss chatting with you gals. Nothing new here either, I am keeping the weight I lost off, but not lost any more. Still hoping to lose another 5 before my Mexico trip in a couple of weeks so sticking to LC for a few days for sure and keeping up with the walking. Even went to the fitness the other day and walked the track since it is cold as crap here. duh.

Hope the new year brings you both happiness and good times!!

Glad to hear you are doing well! Good for you on the weight - I am back up to where I started, but starting to lower the cals and that is helping. I was getting really bad about ice cream, cake, etc. It is amazing how eating right a few days can make you feel better!

Hows the little guy doing? Bet he is getting big!

Enjoy your trip to Mexico.

Being the "old gramma" that I am - so glad you asked.....Kavyn is doing fine. I cannot even explain what a joy he is to us. Having grandchildren is the bomb!! I think he's part of the reason that I am keeping the weight off; following him around makes me keep moving!

Keep up the calorie counting! I guess that is what I do now because it is so hard to stay LC, but I seem to eat a lot "less quantity" now resulting in low calories. I do still have to just SKIP a few dinners every week but I guess that is how I will have to live the rest of my life. I feel 100 times better with the 20 pounds off.

Hope Angie is OK
