Still not on plan here but am making better choices. I've been swimming every day though and I am sore. Trying to get healthier. Going to quit smoking too. Woohoo.

Quitting smoking is hard. But I am glad I did. Still miss it sometimes You can do it and you will be glad you did. I have not eaten a thing all day. maybe I'll just make this a fasting day. I was up to 145 so I guess I'm up a couple and need to get rid of them and lose 20 more by Oct.

Stay tough!!

Hi guys! Missed you!

I don't even want to say what I am up to. Anyway, having a nice summer. Just got back from the condo and had a nice time. Hoping to get back there beginning of August.

Hi Diane! Good to hear from you. I am glad you have been off having fun enjoying the summer. It has been a nice HOT summer. That is for sure. Our new pool is in but deck not built yet. Working on finding a contractor. It is really hot here, like 98. Still have not eaten today. Decided to go ahead and fast 24 hrs. Maybe be down a few tomorrow.

Hope you get the pool in soon. It is hot here too, ugh. Too many 100 or almost 100 degree days. Angie, I don't know how you do it!

Kris, how did the cool sculpting go?

We can still get into the pool via the ladder. Just no deck around it yet. Have some numbers to call for builders.

I had the procedure, but it was Jun 11th and it is supposed to take 2 to 3 months to see the results. I have seen NO results yet. Was a tiny bit of discomfort which of course is all gone but no fat melting off yet. Still hoping for a good outcome....

Hi guys, just checking in. Been super busy. Middle DD graduated college and moved in with a friend, then oldest DD in going back to school, so we just moved her the last two weekends. Luckily this phd program she is in is about 5-6 years, so she should stay put. I am so tired of moving kids, told youngest DD, she will be on her own to move I am too old for this! No help for her!

Oldest DD is now about 1 3/4 hr away and not a good drive. She was about 1 1/4 hr before but easy interstate driving. The drive is more scenic now, but half of it is back windy roads and through Amish country. Those buggies can slow you down.

Hope you both are doing well

Hello!
Hope you are all doing well!

Giving the Intermittent Fasting a try. I realized I wasn't really hungry and eating, so trying to limit my eating to a 5 hour window. 3 days down.....

Hi Diane! Good to hear frm you. I hope IF works for you. It always seemed to work for me. I think they all 'work' if we can stick with it long enough. My problem is always giving up too soon and falling victim to some 'special occassion' givnig me an excuse to eat. Stick to it!!!! You can do it!!! Right now I am cruising I guess; I lost about 15 or so and then have been holding for about 6 weeks. I want to lose another 10 for sure in the next two months but cant seem to get started back on a plan. I am watching how much I eat, skipping a dinner here and there if I've had a big lunch and still walking every day. But no weight loss in several weeks. There has to be a definite plan to lose.

Hope Angie is doing good too!!

He is adorable as ever! I really miss him a lot. He started day care just last week. Probablly a good time, he's 8 mos now and needs to be around other kids. But I do miss him so He is changing so much. I am grateful to have been able to help her and have him the first 8 mos of his life. I will say that chasing a crawling baby around all day was easier when I was 28 than now at 58!! He was starting to wear me out towards the end there!!! He was always on the move. I hope to still see him at least once a week.

How are your girls doing??

Good Morning,
Good job on the 15 pounds Kris. You Grandson is adorable. Maybe one day I will have a grandchild. haha. Chris and his girlfriend just broke up a couple days ago because she nags him about smoking, so I don't think they will be getting married any time soon.
IF worked for me Diane. The loss was slower but it worked. I'm going to start lowcarbing on the 13th. Frank has the Border Legends Concert in October and I want to lose 20 pounds for that.

Life has been stressful, so hopefully I can get back on plan and get some control.

Have a nice day Girls. Missed you both.

The little guy is so adorable!! I am sure you do miss him but I know what you mean about them wearing you out. I was playing with a 4 year old who thought it was fun to play, chase me out of the room, while an 8 month old was crawling all over. Pick up the baby, run after the toddler - I was exhausted.

My girls are doing well. Oldest starts her PhD program on Monday, Middle just graduated and took her NCLEX (nursing RN) boards yesterday so anxiously awaiting the results. Youngest has been working a lot this summer. We leave for the condo tomorrow, just DH and I, a much needed break.

Angie, things haven't calmed down there yet? Uggg.. Glad to hear the IF works. I am down just a couple of pounds, and for the most part, it isn't too bad. I mostly skip breakfast and just have a lunch around noon, then an early dinner. I was really surprised on the 2nd day I did this, I went a full 24 hrs. I had breakfast and lunch the day before and had to shift the 5 hr window to later in the day since I had dinner plans. I really, really need to do something. I was at 171 this morning. Back to pre 2005. I swore I wouldn't gain everything I lost back, and oops, did.

I dont even think I posted it but I was back up to 165 too last Winter. I got really thick around the middle. Have lost some of that but sticking around 150. It sure is easy for it to creep back on. I hope you have a great time at the condo Diane.

Good to hear from you too Angie!

Good morning,

I got on the scale today after months and months of being off plan and I weigh the same. 152. I am shocked really. Going to try fast5 again to see if I can shake some pound off. Maybe do some walking. I might even start my fall cleaning early. Okay, I'm scaring myself. I'm just going to take it one day at a time.
Have a great day Girls.

I was 144 this morning so on way getting back down there. When I dipped dopwn to 143 in May I think I was doing Atkins and taking the rasperberry ketones & Oxy Pro Elite. I am taking it again, but not back on Atkins just yet. Walking and pedal biking. I really want to be 130 by the end of this year. A long way to go tho

Hope fast5 works for you ladies. They all work if we would just stick with it!!!

Hi, looks like we all are ready to get started again!

I am thrilled with the intermittent fasting. I can definitely feel a difference. I have been doing this for a little over a week and am so happy. My scale down at the condo isn't a digital so I don't want to use it to compare what I was prior to leaving by I like this scale! ( but it said 163-much better than seeing 170) May have to bring it back with me

In the week +, I have actually gone 22-24 hrs fasting twice and it wasn't a problem at all. I started eating breakfast and lunch, then had to switch it up when I had dinner plans, then switch back, now am on the lunch and dinner window. My eating window is slightly over the 5 this week, more like 6, but just trying to keep it in the ballpark.

Diane that is great news. I am glad its working. Makes me want to try it again. I've been skipping dinner every night almost but I've had beers. I need to quit the beers and then I'd be Fast 5ing. I just got antibiotics today, guess itls a sinus infection and not going away without them. I have been sick since July 30th. I'm so tired of it, all stuffed up. But at first the doc thot it was just a cold and wanted to wait on teh antibiotics.

I am glad you lost! I have not lost any more, still holding my own but this morning I did walk and ride a pedal bike and am skipping dinner again. Hoping for the best.

I know! You must be swamped - we never hear from you anymore I am hanging in there, been on strict Atkins for exactly one week now. Of course it's working, always does. The key is staying with it longer than a week!!

I hope all is well with you and Diane!

I'm starting back to low carb on Tuesday. *sigh* its time. I'm going to try to get the weight off by the end of October for Frank's concert.

Work has been crazy. The company just closed on refinancing four of the Apartment Complexes. Finally. It was a lot of paperwork. My boss did give me a nice raise and a very nice bonus. The banker even sent me a bouquet of flowers lol. The bad thing is my carpel tunnel is back with a vengeance.

I am really looking forward to the 3 day weekend. Swimming party on Sunday! woohoo.
What are your plans?

Not too many plans for me. we will be getting the rain from the renmants of Hurricane Isaac by late tonight. Temps dropping and rain comeing so probably no pool parties and no Harley riding. Too bad. We have plans to ride the harley, but I assume will have to cancel with the forecast what it is.

Just as well, if I stay home I wont eat as much. I've been walking 3 to 5 miles a day and then riding my bike 15 miles. It has helped, but it's not dropping the weight off fast. I have lost this week with being on induction. Atkins is amazing, if one can just stay with it. I will probably have some beer this weekend but it will be low carb Miller Lite and not a lot of it

Hhope you both have a great holiday weekend!!

Hi Guys,

I've been so busy. Work has really, really been over whelming. Oh how I miss my old boss. His son dumps everything on me, like I have no life. Don't get me wrong, he is a nice kid ( I call him a kid because he is the same age as my son) but my workload has doubled. Yes I did get a raise, and I will ask for more after I get this new system down.
I want (deserve) another 5 dollars more an hour. haha we will see.

On a good note I started back to low carb on Monday and as of yesterday I have lost 3 pounds. So far so good. Starting to feel better and my face looks younger this morning. (maybe because it's Friday)

Take care Girls.

That is too bad. I know how it is to have a boss that is not the best I hope things get better for you.

But congrats on the 3 pounds!!! I am still sticking at 138/139. Not moving much, had a little setback. But I am still being pretty disciplined and trying. I haven't messed up much. I haven't gotten to ride my bike this week as we've had Kavyn back all week. I LOVED having him again, but wish it was for a better reason - he has strep and couldn't go to daycare. Had a couple of REALLY tough nights. Felt so bad when he was in so much pain and wouldn't eat. BUt he's donig better now and we are enjoying him a lot. I just got back from taking him on a stroller ride so I got a little walk in.

good luck with conitinuing to lose! I guess that Diane is off at the condo having fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Kris.
Still around, but not as much. Frank and I are getting his parents house ready to sell. It's just been sitting there for a couple of years vacant. We were going to rent it,but decided to sell it instead. So the past few weekends we have been moving the furnishings to storage, painting, yard work etc.... I knew it was going to be a lot of work, but jeeze. Still on plan here and feeling great. How are you doing?
Diane hope all is well with you!
