Good morning,

UGH! The weather was horribly windy! The dust was unbelievable, the skies were brown. The pool is trashed. So much for dusting and vacuuming on Saturday. I did manage to get some grocery shopping done, a meatloaf made and ready to go into the oven for tonight and made some pico de gallo. I have been eating light but havent weighed, the scale is still in the closet.

What did you eat at the condo Diane?

Angie, yuck, I guess that wind and dust does make for a pool mess. We will be opening ours up in a few weeks. This is the first year I am trying it myself, so .....

What did I eat, what didn't I eat

DH made the suggestion that we go to the grocery store and cook for the week. I looked at him like he was nuts, so we went out for breakfast and a midafternoon lunch/dinner at various restaurants. Only 2 meals a day, but of course had to go to our favorite ice cream spot one evening and did stop at the grocery store for snack stuff. It was probably the most relaxing trip we have had. Didn't do much of anything but unwind. I needed it badly.

I am ready to eat at home.

Sounds like a great way to unwind Diane! We are still thinking of buying a vacation place but haven't decided on anything definite yet.

I have not lost anything yet. This week I am REALLY eating light, skipped dinner Mon, Tue, Wed and walked 2 or 3 times each day, but not been LC, just keeping calories low. I better have a loss tomorrow. I've been taking the new pills I bought, oxyelite and raspberry ketones but so far I have seen no difference in the 6 days I've been on them.

So how was Red Lobster?? I love it too. Almost any kind of fish is good for me!!! I have lost a couple of pounds finally, I think just because I've skipped dinner every night (eating only one meal a day) and a tiny bit of fruit for breakfast. Tried to keep carbs lower, and I've had about 800 calories per day. Not something I plan to do long term, but just trying to achieve some kind of loss. I'm still taking the Oxyelite and raspberry ketones. Seems to be helping some (less appetite I guess). I'm not sure it was worth the money - rather pricey. Sometimes I have sleep problems - I guess because they are supposed to raise your metabolism. It doesn't feel like my metabolism is any higher tho and I dont seem to have any more energy?? A weight lifter friend told me to try them and at this point Im trying anything and everything since I was almost up to 160. I am at 151 or 152 now I think. But it seems I've been almost like fasting to get there. And I've been walking or running one or two times every day when I can squeeze it in. Of course my goal is still 130.....

Anything working for you guys??

Good morning,
Red Lobster was great. I had the Ultimate Feast. DH had the lobster from the tank. We ate about half each and had the rest for lunch the next day! Delish!

I feel like I am losing. I have been cooking at home instead of going out (aside from Red Lobster) and not eating junk has really helped. My clothes are fitting looser and haven't taken the scale out of the closet yet. So far, so good!

Great Angie! Less junk food is always good! I have cooked more lately too and bought healthy veggies, but we seem to find it hard to get around to eating them. We still go out a lot, and I have been trying really hard to only eat half of what I order which means the fridge is always full of leftovers that we are trying to eat up. I'm still on my same plan, giving the pills a chance but weight is coming off very very slow.....

Well where is everybody??? So quiet this week. I've actually lost a little, but very little. Finally back down to my sig weight. I was up about 10 unfortunately. It has been slow, but i'm still hanging in. Mostly watching calories and kinda LC.

Sorry Kris, Work has been super busy. My boss is closing on a 9 million dollar property in Phoenix and there is A LOT of paperwork involved. I have been working with him and the accountant for a month and now he is ready to close on the deal. I am tired but the overtime pay is great.
I'm still not on a plan but I am losing slow but sure. Ive been using my crockpot a lot lately and I am loving it. Nice to come home and not have to cook or clean up ( I love the crock pot liners.)
The pool is ready and our 1st swimming party is next Saturday. It looks beautiful out there.

I am jealous!!! Swim party sounds so graet. I just last night got outside to sit for half an hour on the deck. It is warmer here finally, but not pool weather yet. Still babysitting until 4 anyway.......

Perhaps you/your company could rent us a good place to stay for the winter out west!!

We are definitely thinking about it and would love to meet you. Maybe next Winter. Babysitting thru Jun for sure, maybe July. It is very rewarding. I am so glad I had the opportunity to do it. He was 5 mos Wednesday.

Crock pot cooking is working. I am down a few pounds, and loving the fact that dinner is ready when I get home from work so no temptation of grabbing fast food on the way home or going out to eat. So far so good.

Hi! I am still trying my hardest! With the Florida trips coming up this Fall I have to be down to 140. I cannot go like this. I am eating less than I have in a long long time, but it still a slow road. I've acutally only lost 10 since I began "seriously trying" about 6 weeks ago. Maybe I should try the crock pot thing and get back on lower carb. I think I've been eating too much fruit. I am glad it is working for you Angie! Keep up the good work and dont give up.

Still here Kris. Work has been busy. Still not on plan, but maintaining. Keeping it simple. Getting ready for the pool party in Sunday. Its been hot. It's going to be 101 here today so if the is any indication of what kind of summer we are gonna have, then we are in trouble. Its only May. Usually we open the pool on Memorial day with a swimming party and we've already have had 3.
How have you been doing? Hows the Grand baby?

Kavyn is doing fine! It is still such a joy babysitting him full time. We dont get to ride the Harley much, but that will come after he is in daycare. I want to enjoy this "baby" time as I know he's growing fast. He is a little more work now that he's almost 6 mos, playing with the bottle instead of eating, rolling over and scooting around so I have to watch him constantly, fussing with cutting teeth. But so far I'm still hanging in there!!

Fasting a couple of days right now and then induction to kick start some loss again. I was down to 145 this morning, so making some progress, slow but sure.

You will have a great time at your pool party!!! Mike is just starting to open ours today so I'm excited but its still too cool here to get in right now.

Hi,
Sounds like you too are both doing well, maintaining or losing! I am going up, but not going to fight it just yet. Trying to get through the last days of school. I am done the 5th, so hopefully then, maybe get serious.

DD graduates on Friday, so only 1 left in college. Yay to her and my bank account, only one more tuition! No job yet, but waiting to hear back from one place. Keeping my fingers crossed.

We opened our pool about 3 weeks ago. Just got in this past weekend. It was only 74 and cold, but managed to get in and do some walking/running laps. Geez, it was stinking hot in April, but not too warm in May. Guess I shouldn't complain since hot means standing out on the playground roasting, but the water isn't warming up.
