So, we've got 6 degrees here in the GTA... and tomorrow, we might get up to 20cm of snow.

Yeah, we're going to maybe get 5cm overnight, and then another 15-25 on Wednesday! (Though in between, it'll get to +4, so it'll all melt and turn to ice. Yay!)

This weather has been crazy this year!

Hey All. Went to the Dr today and am now down a total of 17 pounds since December 2011!!. Just wanted to share. Hope everyone is well. They are talking (non stop it seems) about snow here in the GTA. Kinda makes me laugh cause it's only supposed to be about 15 cm. Since when are Canadians afraid of a little snow.

WTG!! That's very encouraging! I hate weighing at the doctor's office.

We complain here daily about the weather (Calgary), not sure what our problem is?

Well the BIG snowstorm they were predicting was a wash out. Again. Mostly rain. Don't know what all the fuss was about.

Well, they said it could go either way-- all that rain could've been snow. all. day.

So, while it's sucky it's raining, I'm glad it wasn't the 20cm we could've gotten.

I was just looking at March, and I'm actually excited that the time change is coming up in just a couple weeks! And Spring is a week after that!

So true about the snow, but the school board pre-emtively cancelled the school busses for no reason so it left a lot of people stuck.

I'm excuted abiyt the time change too. I work till 6 pm and noticed it's already getting lighter then. Spring is Coming!!!

I listened to the audio version from the Toronto library and enjoyed it. A lot of what he has to say makes very good sense although from a science perspective I could not even hazard a guess if he is right about the changes to wheat in the last 50 yrs.

What I found really surprising was when I first tried to reserve the book (audio), I was something like #12 on the waiting list and then a week later, suddenly was sent notice that I could download it. The library had gone from limited copies to unlimited! I am guessing the demand must have been very high.

I downloaded it the other day from the okanagan regional library,using the overdrive app. I get most of my books this way. Will start listening today

Mel the Toronto Public Library has a program the same as Shoo uses (overdrive). It is very cool. I move it onto my ipod and listen to all kinds of stuff while I am out walking or on transit etc.

I know that farming practices have changed a lot. My grandpa was a grain farmer and I do know they always tried to use science to increase the crop yield, help the plants withstand pests etc. So while I don't know details, it does make sense.

I'm in Kelowna. I use overdrive on my iPad mostly,love to take my whole library with me where ever I go. The only place it won't go is in the jacuzzi. Last night I found an old magazine to take in there with me
