Crossing my fingers for your hubby, Soren!

Weather's been damp here, and coolish, which I think is worse - the cold goes right through you! Bleh...

Ugh, I hate the damp worse than a nice cold crisp day with sun, ya know? This winter is SO CRAZY!

Thanks for the well wishes for DH He's got another one on Tuesday (a 2nd one at that place) and had a few this week, so hopefully he'll get some more 2nds and then some offers!

I had to google this, Ontario is at 8% : Latest release from the Labour Force Survey. Friday, February 3, 2012

sigh. But it's better than some places in the US, right?

Yeah, better than some places.

But sounds like things are going to get really crappy really fast for those of us in Ontario - that report and some of the proposed changes aren't making me feel warm and fuzzy.

I am still doing my walking and have recently started using my yoga ball in place of my computer chair. My hand weights are next in the line up - just found them the other day - missing for ages! What are you doing?

I sometimes use Wii Fit, b/c I do get a sweat going and it's fun. I hate feeling like I'm EXERCISING
DH got a Kinects, and that doesn't use any hand controllers, so we're trying out new sports games on there. He's loving the Boxing, and I'm sort of ok at ping pong (which gets you going a bit), and then there's a workout specific "game" which I'm trying out, but doing the gamer-ier things first (as opposed to lunges and whatnot).

And I walked around the autoshow for 3hrs yesterday-- that counts, right?

can you get weighted gloves for when you walk? Then you can do some arm curls while you walk, tricep extentions while you walk, maybe some lunges and squats?

I've been doing a lot of walking, but for the past couple of weeks, not too much - been off and recovering from surgery, but I seem to be on the mend, so I plan on reintegrating into that!

If anyone's interested, Speedy and I are both subscribed to the 'Allies Exercising Around the World' thread. There's only about four or five of us who are routine posters, but it's fun, and it's good motivation to see the counter moving down as we get nearer to our virtual 'destinations'. I don't know about everyone else, but it's a good incentive for me.

We'd love to see new people join us - we're on our way to London, England right now. LOL
