I've been so busy with Christmas events this year,I haven't even thought about the New Year. I know I need to make our reservations for NY Eve quickly,before everything is sold out.

1)Dessert and Dance party at our golf club with our neighbours and friends.

2)Appie,drinks and dancing to a 60's and 70's theme party at a hotel,with3 other couples who are close friends. The band is very good and we can stay at the hotel that night.

3) A two night get away at Sparkling Hills Resort,that includes dinner NY Eve,a play that has good reviews,breakfast both mornings. This would be just DH and I. The cost for this one is a bit high.

4)A night at home,just us,lobster dinner,a beautiful bottle of Moets champagne(which we've been saving for such a night),and a movie,a dance or two,and in bed before midnight!

I really should decide by Monday.

Happy New Year Canadian Friends

Holidays were great .... had a few things I shouldn't eat and gained 3 pounds. Hope it doesn't take as long to lose them.

Even though it is so cold and snowy, I walked Wednesday and Thursday at lunch

My plan is to get this butt moving .... even if it is only to park across the parking lot everytime I go to the store.

Avy ~ Great goal other than eating everything in sight

Shoo ~ What did you end of doing for New Year's Eve? Sparkling Hills is amazing. We had a small house party.

Deb ~ What are your 2013 goals? Grey Cup chili was amazing, I use steak, chorizo sausage, bacon, ground beef, peppers, celery, onion and very few beans. Lots of spice, including secret ingredient - cinammon

My goal would definitely have to be EXERCISE.

I just saw a poster's tag line that said they did low carb to look good in clothes and exercise to look good w/o them. LOL. I can TOTALLY relate to that! I don't look nearly as well as I did at this weight before. And I also "feel fat"...I think it is bc I jiggle I used to do a lot of exercise...but 2 kids, school, long commute...we all know the excuses

I play hockey once/week so I just need to add 2 more workouts (at least to start).

Nice to see all the BC friends here!!! We rock!

Happy New Year everyone!
It feels great to get back on track,eating better,moving more

We ended up going to Moxies for dinner then coming home and dancing for a couple hours. We were off the roads well before midnight,and had a lovely bottle of Moets champagne to drink at home. I have to admit,I enjoyed the champagne,but I could have had cheaper sparkling wine from Grey Monk and been fine with it

My long term goal for this year is to end the year weighing less than I do today. I'd like to lose 50 lbs by the end, as a numbers goal, I lost 30 in a little over 3 months, so I think 50 lbs working at it should be attainable.

Holy snow in Vernon ~ I can't recall when I've seen this much at one time. Heavy, wet and pain to shovel.

Hockey_gal - Exercise is a GREAT goal and awesome that you plan hockey

Shoo ~ Sounds like you had a nice New Years Eve. I've always wanted to splurge on an expensive bottle of champagne but still haven't.

oh i think you got more than us...

yes we live in Kamloops now..apartment managers for a 106 unit high rise

thank goodness we have a snow blower because my honey has to keep the walks clear and we are on a corner peice of land

took about 2 hours at supper time last night to clear it but then..no new snow over night

i did have to run in the slush this morning not nice

I'm baaaaack...

Hello fellow Canadians,

Back rather shamefully. The tale end of 2011 and 2012 were a challenge and a half that my food plan did not honour 100%. I gained a clothing size. Not only that, but my insomnia, heartburn and tummy issues came back so back on the wagon.

I'll be in here regularly looking for cheerleading and ideas so bring 'em on!

Wow has it been cold and another beautiful blanket of snow today.

Lost 2 of the pounds I gained at Christmas.

Deb ~ I was an apartment manager once when living in the US .... loved it but it only had 12 units .... 106 is alot of tenants. Is it "high" end?

Back Barb ~ I'm thinking you are pretty happy that the NHL strike is over.
