Off topic....we had 3 couple for a dinner party last night and 2 couples left about10:00,1 couple stayed til 11:30. I guess that wasn't too late but I was ready for bed by 11:00 so it was a struggle to stay up and socialize. Then we tidied up the kitchen, walked the dog and crawled into bed at midnight. I must be getting old ![]() |

Hey Mel!
We live right on the border, so we're over a couple times a week. Dairy products are way cheaper there, so we usually get whipping cream, cheese, cream cheese, etc. They also seem to have a bigger selection of sugar free chocolates, so I usually buy those, too... And sugar-free jello and puddings. They have a huge selection of flavours, and they really work for the sweet tooth. ![]() We also have a mailbox in the US, so we can order stuff online and not get killed with shipping charges. We buy those DaVinci sugar free syrups. They're awesome! |

I'm in Sarnia, Ontario. Basically, find Lake Huron, and find the very southern part of it, and that's me!
![]() We're about an hour north of Detroit/Windsor. Oh yes, the chicken! It's crazy!!! |

I love primal/Paleo because I have less joint pain, less phelm, not as hungry.
I train for 1/2 marathon power walking which has changed my life! I also do the occasional IF (intermittent fasting) , and I do mean occasional, this has enabled me to keep my weight in check. I have way less cravings! Yes I am new from Canada(cowtown) |

I used to go shopping to Omak once or twice a year, but now spend a lot of time in Palm Springs,so no need to plan other stateside shopping trips. We also go to Spokane and Coeur d'Alene a couple times a year, and I always love to shop there too. In the fall,I will be in Las Vegas, and will most likely participate in some retail therapy as well as the shows, etc. |

Thanks for the Info on shopping for my friend, whom I would like to visit this summer!
Great insight on shopping....what a rush! Wanted to ask Speedymagee in Calgary, so what is CAD woe? I feel a duh! Coming on as I just could not figure it out! Anyone else might know? I just finished my 2 courses at Olds college Online in land administration, and it feels so good to get both exams out-of-the-way! Now comes the hard part, trying to find a office summer job, and competing with hundreds of other students.........! Gotta to feel positive! Just going to bake Maria's LC GF buns/biscuits...love them! |

I'm up early too! Looks like a beautiful weekend on the way, good to get some gardening done and maybe hit a few balls at the driving range. Have a tennis game tomorrow but not a lot planned for the weekend. What a treat!!
Mel,you had a question about Couer d'Alene? We go there a couple times a year for 2-3 days. It's just far enough away to feel like a mini vacation. We also go to Harrison Hot Springs and stay at The Harrison.Very nice little drive and a beautiful old hotel. |

Hi My Canadian Friends ~ Sorry I have been MIA. Struggling with focus. Have a couple of good days and a couple of bad. So far, no movement on the scale but tomorrow is weigh day. Not putting much hope in the scale as I had a cheat last night.
I can hear my Mother's voice in my head reminding me how much harder losing weight is once you get older and I'm older ![]() Really have to try and focus on being grateful but that is also being a bit of a struggle. Anyone else sad that the Canucks are out of the playoffs?
