i was always content on letting the #s get smaller, slowly.

I still am. but when I get to a crossroads, i am understandibly motivated to cross over. I will be the same when i get to 201.5. I want all the Blitzers to offer prayers to whichever God or Gods they reverance or fear(scale god). Perhaps with their blessings, and those of my Gods (incl the divine Augustus)I have a fighting, albeit slim (ha ha)chance. As i said, if it does not happen, i will not shoot myself. I WILL shoot the scale god. FF

Thanks Tony and FF. You're right about drinking enough water. Usually I drink between 1 and 2 gallons a day (doctors orders to keep my blood pressure up). But I have found the past few days not only have I been not hungry, but I am struggling with the water too. I just cooked a couple of eggs for breakfast.

Yea Gibby, are your stats correct under your pic? You are almost into the 80's girl.

I was 210 today, I know up from last Thursday, oh well. Onward and upward . . . or should I say downward LOL.

good for u, Gibby. it came as no surprise to me.

as for Seinfeld, i certainly would not want these people, living in my building or as friends...well maybe, George. His neuroses would put mine in perspective. But they are fun to watch. FF

FF, I am thrilled the scales at your podiatrist showed a 6 1/2 pound drop this month. If you had some scales at home in the morning, and weighed first thing, I bet you would show at least 299.9 number! Seinfeld is a classic! Love that show!

Artemis, use the lack of appetite to your advantage right now. Whatever you do eat make it nutritious and I'm sure it will come back shortly.

Vicki, do you have to cook for son and fiance when you get home from work? That is so hard when you are exhausted.

Tony, are you following the story about the raid on Gibson Guitar? Sad situation.

Marilee, the heat is probably making you retain water. Drink alot tomorrow and see if that helps. Stay in the air conditioning!

I bought a wireless printer today and set it up. Loving printing from the kitchen table instead of unplugging computer and dragging in to printer to plug it in. I don't know how it works - it's magic!

Had greek yogurt with a handful of frozen blueberries, two bratwurst, brocolli and cauliflower with dip today.

Have a great Friday everybody!

Abigale, if my son and fiance are here, yes I cook for them. But, when my fiance comes over during the week, it is after supper. I only have my son part of the time.Yes, it can be exhausting but not too bad.

Marilee, what is up with the pic, snow?? LOL.

FF, I could just cry I'm so happy for you!!!

Marilee, that picture scares me. I dread the snow like you dread the heat. lol Seriously it is a beautiful picture and refreshing to look at.

Tony, did the Red Socks win the game you watched? That makes it more fun. I remember one of my brothers always wanting a hot dog with "Carl Yazstremski mustard" whatever that was - lol

Artemis that is amazing that you are able to drink 1 to 2 gallons of water a day. You make me want to do better on my water drinking.

Have a good day everybody. Will check in later.

i loved the wintry pic.

it can never get too cold for me. As long as i do not break any part of me, slipping on the ice. Well, the excitement is over, and portion control (the critters), truly begins in earnest (i.e. in private, not just in public). May the Gods give me whatever it takes to eat the right amounts and NOT be hungry. Gonna walk the boardwalk tomorrow, at A.C. It is too soon for an "indulgence", so I will be staying on plan to the hilt. FF

Wow, FF that is so awesome! I hate treadmills too...that's why I always try to take my walks outside if possible. It bothers me to be walking and yet not going anywhere

Down another 0.5 lb. I'd probably be losing more if I were getting all my water in the past few days. But I have to today because I feel dehydrated. I started drinking gallons of water a day back during my first weight loss battle because it helps so much. So when my doctor told me I had to, it wasn't so hard to adjust. It helps to break it down into smaller amounts during the day instead of thinking "oh my gosh I have to drink all this?!". When I first started trying to increase my water, I literally drank by the clock. Every so many minutes, I'd drink 1-2 8 oz glasses of water and then when you get to 16, you've made it to one gallon!

Well, I was down 1.2 and now I'm up 1.6 - what the heck? I'm on program so it must be water retention. Not going to break - keep on the program. I start P3 maintenance on Wednesday so I want to get as low as I can this round.

Wish me luck!

Congratulations on the .5 loss Artemis!

Need to get to work (I'm cheating)....TTYL

I SURVIVED!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just got out of an office September birthday's celebration - carbs up the wazoo - they did have fruit so I picked out the strawberries and a few pieces of cantaloupe (my splurge) and that's it! I didn't have any of the various cakes (4 choices) or ice cream that was offered!

oOPS! I hit something and it didn't let me finish my Title!!!

good resistance, gibby!!!

there was a big office breakfast the day after i re-inducted-99% carby. I had coffee, smiled, said thank you, and went back to my office. I had to beg off the gym for today. Can barely keep my eyes open. Besides i MUST get up early for the 9:00am bus to AC. I do not want to keep the boardwalk waiting. FF

Artemis, u are incredible...1-2 gallons a day.

There are not enough toilets in NYC for me to come close to that. Try putting in a dvd while u are treading on the mill. My podiatrist is still searching for one (a freebie). He gets a cheesecake (maybe 2)if he succeeds. There is a dvd called VISIONS OF ITALY. It is 4 hrs long. It is worth the price of actually going there. I lose myself completely in it. But find one that works for your fantasies. FF

Marilee, Vicki and FF - good going on resisting the office breakfast, treat day and the September birthday party! The temptations are all around us but everytime we don't give in we are a little stronger. Plus eveyone is watching us hoping we are going to give in so they don't feel guilty.

Artemis, I guess that would be the trick with the water, a little bit but often. I have made attempts earlier in the summer to do this but somehow got out of the habit. I never worked up to a gallon though. I need to plan better, have plenty of good tasting water and be aware of the fact that it is time to drink another cup.

Looking forward to a calm and stress free weekend Tony and FF. Unlike last weekend. Still grateful we got through it unscathed. So many people still without power and homes full of mud.

Yesterday I had greek yogurt with a handful of frozen blueberries, brocolli and cauliflower with a tad of dip.(need to buy some more sour cream) and pork roast. It had the 1/4 inch of fat on top so after roasting it I put it under the broiler to crisp up and brown the fat. It was so delicious. I wanted to cut the whole layer off and eat it but then it would not have looked as appetizing to DH although he never eats the fat.lol

Have a great weekend everyone!

Thanks abigale, however, I ended up eating crap all night last night. I won't go in to details but scale is up today of course. So, to "punish" myself, I did HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training). I haven't ever done it before. I really worked up a sweat which isn't all bad and it didn't even take half an hour.

well, i am back...albeit a little lighter....

in the wallet, that is. I DID have a glorious day, though. The weather was warm, but not oppresively, and there was even a breeze off the beach. After the 2 hr boardwalk walk, I sat outside in front of theTropicana for about an hour. I did not want to go inside. I was going to give y'all a plate by plate description of my buffet consumption. But that would be too boring. Suffice it to say that my carb consumtion was no greater than 15 net grams(i believe it was a bit less). My WW points were no more than 30. I was finished by 12:30pm. I had nothing else except an ice coffee on the 2nd half of the walk. The only real disappointment: the sugar free saltwater taffee was way too high in carbs (39 gr for 5 bitesize pieces., or 8 gr a shtickl). The regular saltwater taffee, for the same portion, was 33 gr carb. Will wonders never cease? I got 2 boxes for the office. In 3 weeks is the birthday of Augustus (Fri Sept 23 63 BC or AVC dcxci, in the consulship of Marcus Tullius CICERO & G. ANTONIVS "Creticus"-the uncle of the famous triumvir). If there is no rain on the 23rd or the 24th, I shall go down again. The good weather for this weekend may hold through the better part of tomorrow. I most certainly will be at the gym, Sun & Mon. So how was your day y'all? FF

ff, that sounds like a lot of fun and you did a great job sticking to the plan, bro...

i bought a living room set and a mattress...looking at the smallish size of our living room, i don't think it's all gonna fit!...got a sofa, loveseat, something they call "a chair and a half" which will seat two people and a huge ottoman...the seats are all deep - 41-inches...don't know what i was thinking! :-)

had a good day eating-wise:
b: leftover stir-fry
l: skipped
d: chinese buffet - stuck with all the LC stuff and it didn't seem too salty...we'll see

it was pretty hot here today - hoping the pool water warmed back up enough to allow swimming tomorrow...

hope everyone had a good day!

Tony, I hate it when my internet goes out and I am cut off from the outside world. Is yours back working or are you still using your office computer. Boy, you sure had a productive Saturday! Hope all the new furniture fits! With your big family you need alot of seating!

Vicki, that HIIT sounds like a great workout. Did you learn that at a class or have a dvd on it?

FF, go ahead and tell us what you had on the buffet. We never get bored hearing about food - unfortunatly. lol What a great day you had walking on the boardwalk with the sea breezes blowing. Miss the ocean but looks like my poor Gulf Shores is getting alot of rain and maybe a surge from tropical storm Lee.

I had yogurt with frozen blueberries, pork roast, scrambled eggs with a tad of cheese and sour cream mixed in, and brocolli and cauliflower with dip yesterday.

It will be breakfast out today with Mom, brother and sister in law after church this morning. The country club will be closing for the winter soon so we will have to find another breakfast spot then. We could go to Friendlys but it is usually crowded and Mom's wheelchair doesn't fit in that well there.

it pays to keep accurate records of what i ate.

I was right on the $ with carb gr. Including the McD grilled chicken CAESAR, for dinner; it came out to 20 gr ON THE NOSE, reasonably so. When I added the WW points I was WAY off the mark. It was over 40 pts for the buffet, and taking in the dinner came out to 57 pts. My daily total is 53 pts. We do get 49 weekly optional points, and we may exchange points for exercise done THAT day. I walked away from the buffet filled with pride that I ate responsibly. Okay, here goes: PLATE 1: salad with about an oz of turkey strips (right from the bird, not the deli counter)2 T Caesar dressing, and 8 almonds (mine). PLATE 2: 2 pork sausage ( about 2 oz each), 3 strips bacon, string beans with red pepper slice. PLATE 3: about 1/4 lb brisket (no more than that), 1 small cheeseburger with 1 sunnyside egg on top, with the same salad as PLATE 1. I washed it and my vitamins and metformin down with ice water, and a diet coke. Later I had a large rasberry flavor iced coffee from Dunkin. I made her do it over. why? I said very loud:"DROP of cream, I LIKE IT D A R K" I got it as white as a KKK rally. No one pays attention anymore!!! In the past month, I had ordered BUNLESS cheeseburgers twice. They were delivered with buns. U can remove the buns, which i did...BUT u CANNOT remove the cheese from the bun. I let it go twice. No more!!! This a.m. I had 1 cup tuna/egg salad on 1/2 lc pita. Gonna have a BIG salad with lunch(perhaps not as big as Elaine's).Dinner will feature some sauted veggies. I do not know what the critter du jour is yet. FF

oh, by the way...

i am tossing the turkey(breast) on my way out to the gym. It has been in the fridge and freezer for 8 days uncooked. I hate to do it. Food born bacteria, though, is not something I want to deal with. Sometimes hard choices need to be made. Bye Bye, Tom. FF
