I want to try this but with a twist. I'd like to add in some bacon. Otherwise, I don't think I could choke down the eggs.

So for breakfast, lunch, and dinner I shall have: 4 slices bacon, 3 eggs, and 1 T butter. Drinks shall consist of all water. that gives me 1400 calories per day, with 76% fat and 24% protein. Would this be an acceptable plan or should I try to choke down just eggs?

Hey Muffin,

You might be surprised on the egg fast. Try to stick to just eggs as many as you like any way you like. I was consuming around 13 a day. I would have 4 or 5 each meal. I didn't eat cheese but did have deviled with mayo, must, vinegar. tons of water, stevia and tons sugarless gum if you feel nauseous

Hi Piknik,
I noticed earlier in this thread that you said you lost around 8 pounds on the egg fast? It's pretty amazing if you have kept it off! I was wondering - were you doing much exercise on these days? I want to try this soon!

Hi Lizzylou,

I just looked up my weight on May 4th was 161. I'm now 147 -17 days later(!) so ya I kept it off and still losing. I'm so glad I tried the egg fast for 3 days then meat and egg for 6 days. I keep throwing in a meat and egg day here and there. I have been eating very low carb everyday since, I feel pretty good, so why not

I had full on intended to go to spin on the 2cd day of my egg fast but did not make it. I Lifted weights on day 3. I felt fine, no endurance issues. If you look on the bodybuilding forum you will see the heavy lifters have egg days with no problems in endurance. I have not attempted cardio on very low carb, but will resume once I reach goal and I start to add more carbs. I have had no issues in weight training or in intense Pilate's class once or twice a week living VLC. I think I would have lost even without working out.

Hope you try it and have great results! Can't wait to see how you do

For breakfast this morning I had 3 eggs. Also I had coffee and couldn't resist putting 1 tbsp of cream in my coffee. :/
I hope that won't change the results! I'm glad I'm doing this.

Lizzy, Great job getting started. Just wondered why you are only doing 2 days?

I'd been considering the fat fast but worried about the dangers and stress on the heart (I have a congenital heart defect) when I came across this egg fast thread. I think this will be better for me. I like eggs. I don't love them. But have been stalled for 5-6 weeks. I was going to wait until next week to begin any sort of fast but since y'all are starting now I want to join in. The support will do us all good.

Good luck everyone, happy egging!

I seem to be down about 6lb since I did the egg thing a couple of weeks ago, it really helped me get my appetite back in control. Off to Europe for a month now so I am sure I'll be back here once I'm home trying to shift some vacation lbs.

I'm doing two days just to see how I feel...but if it goes well I'll do Wednesday also. Usually for dinner on Wednesdays I eat a meal at my church, and they definitely won't have eggs! Maybe I'll skip that and eat at home.

So far today I've had 7 eggs (w/ a bit of mayo) and coffee.

Nice going lizzylou! I drank coffee with almond milk all through my 1st egg fast, and still lost. Did you weigh yourself this morning? Make sure to drink lots of water. I like my water with lemon, lime ice and stevia. I have already had 4 eggs for breakfast this morning so I guess I'll start today too!

I was 147 lbs this morning

So far today:

3 egg fried in 1 tbls butter
4 deviled egg 1/2s (so 2 whole eggs) made with mayo, mustard and a splash vinegar
green tea with stevia
water

Weighed 134.2 this morning.

Editing to say make that 6 deviled eggs (so 3 whole eggs) Lol

Aslo, PIKNIK, I see you've done this before. Did you eat anything besides eggs the last time? I saw one post where you said you were not doing cheese. Some others kept it while on the egg fast. Just wondering what you did. Thanks in advance

Hi Heheher,

I personally lose better without cheese, even when I'm 20 carbs a day. So I feel I can do anything for 3 days just for a larger loss. I might have a cube of cheese on Thursday. So no cheese for me this or last egg feast

Thanks PIKNIK! Just wondering how everyone does it. I see some have tiny bits of meat and such. I'm not doing cheese either. Just eggs.

I was starving after my workout so I scrambled 4 eggs and mixed in 1 TBLP of mayo. That's 10 eggs so far! I kinda feel like a pig. LOL

Hi Heheher,

I'm at 8 eggs so far. 4 scrambled with butter parsley and chives for breakfast.
4 scrambled with butter chives for lunch.

20oz of coffee. with almond milk
60oz of water with stevia lemon, lime
20 oz of decaf green tea with fresh mint, stevia.

I'm thinking deviled with mayo, must, vinegar for dinner.

Can't wait to weigh in tomorrow. I always have my doubts but I'm always pleasantly suprised the next day!

I would have done the same thing if I ate eggs only earlier Thought about eggs yesterday, but figured I'd be getting plenty soon enough.

Getting ready to make my deviled eggs and some egg salad to be ready for day 1.

I have eggs leftover from a boy scout event. (Like 150!) So I'm starting tomorrow too. Want to be at 50 lbs by Friday. That's 3.8 lbs. Going to boil a flat of eggs tonight. Going to do just eggs, maybe some bacon grease to cook them in, but no cheese/meat. Plan to do Tue-Thur, then adding meat on Fri.
