WOE: LC Atkins
Start Date: March 21 2011
Day 1 -2.4
Day 2 -1.8
Day 3 -1.0
Day 4 +0.8 meat added
Day 5 -0.8 meat added
Day 6 -0.6 meat added

5.8 TOTAL!!

I'm going to continue and add back induction veggies and tree nuts for three days, and dairy the last day. I think I may have a dairy allergy that stalls me and/or keeps me from losing. Nothing severe like the lactose intolerant people in my family, just something slight.

~Then I'll start back on Round 2 of the Egg Fast next Wednesday with another 10 day cycle.

I just started here on LCF tonight and on Atkins again about a couple of weeks ago. I would love to try the egg challenge! Is it 3 days still or more?

Yes three days is what I'm gonna do.

You can do more if you feel good, but I got a little sick of eggs only on the last evening.

Trick is to be creative so not to get sicked out on eggs.

Alright, Day 1 Round 2 Starting 263.0

Managed to stay 6.4 after 10 days of the 6.6 I lost on Round 1.

Let's see what this one has in store.

Starting Weight 178- I can't believe I gained a pound from yesterday! I was so mad this morning!

I hope this egg fast builds back my motivation. I dropped the red bull and soda today too. Just water and crystal lite. So hopefully that helps.

My start number was a little high due to consuming alcohol last weekend, so I started a little higher than my lowest weight thus far. With that said,

Start:240.6
Day 1:237.4

Down 3.2! Phew -finally got that water weight off. Looking forward to losing again.

How are you preparing your eggs today?

Alyce - I hope you see a big loss before and after! Wouldn't that be great?

Is the weight loss sticking for y'all though? I lost some weight on the egg fast but it all came back when I added meat and veggies back in.

Wow! Cyclo great losses! You did outstanding!

Heheher ~ I added back meat only for 3 days, then induction veggies for 3, and finally nuts & fruit & other veggies. I continued to loss during the transition on round 1 and hope to this round also.

Most people in this thread have had a 1 lb loss daily !!!! Which is same as being on a waterfast minus the hungry feeling'!! So finally I'm switching to this to be in amazing shape for NYE '!!!

This IS an old thread!

But I wanna start an egg fast for a few days. I've always responded well to it before.

I keep fluctuating between 170 and 175 for over a month and it's making me angry to the point that I find myself lecturing my body on poor performance!

I'm also on day 13 of 30-day shred and wonder if it's harming rather than helping.

I had 3 eggs for dinner and will start up tomorrow. So as of right now I'm 175, but TOM is also here, too.

It's always a nice way to get into ketosis fast but never led to weight loss for me. The weight came back as soon as I stopped eating eggs.

I am thinking of starting this fast in a few days! Is fresh mozzarella off limits? I have 1/2 lb leftover.

I've done the fat fast and see this as a good transition. I assume one does not count calories, most of the instructions I have seen stress eating regularly and when hungry?

I've got the few recipes from ibreathimhungry but if anyone else has found some that work well for them, please share.

I have to join next weekend.. gotta stock up on good eggs! My mom cooked incredible baby back ribs. I can't possibly say no to them.

In the meantime I found another recipe that seems legal, on my container of marscapone.
(obviously sugar substitute, and ignore ladyfingers.)

Ingredients

3 large eggs (*or pasteurized egg substitute)
1 cup espresso or strong coffee, cooled
1/2 cup sugar
2 Tbsp. cognac or brandy
8 oz. BelGioioso Mascarpone
2 Tbsp. cocoa
10 ladyfingers

Directions

Step 1: Combine 3 egg yolks, 1 Tbsp. espresso, sugar and cognac into large bowl. Beat 2-3 minutes. Add BelGioioso Mascarpone and beat 3-5 minutes until smooth.

Step 2: In another bowl, combine 3 egg whites and a pinch of sugar. Beat until stiff peaks form. Gently fold into Mascarpone mixture. (*If using egg substitute, skip step 2 and beat until fluffy.)

Step 3: Quickly dip each ladyfinger into remaining espresso and layer on bottom of small serving dish. Spread Mascarpone mixture and sprinkle with cocoa. Refrigerate at least 1 hour before serving.
