I hope to have similar results. I am starting over today after a complete failure last night. I was doing great until I went to my BF's and ate chicken wings with sauce. BUT today is a new day and I will do better.
Thank you!

And yes, it is a new day! I didn't think I'd last half a day, but I figured if I kept it interesting, I could do it.

So far I have had my eggs:

Hard Boiled
Poached
"French Toasted"
Egg Salad
Curry Egg Salad
Scrambled

I've also had cheese (2-5 oz/ day) and HWC in my coffees.
Good luck guys! You can do it!

I am super excited for day 3 today. I didn't think it would work like this, is it possible to lose more water mid lc-ing?

Sara- I too have hashi's and took me getting on T3/T4 combo and supplementing with zinc and selenium and a B-complex to really start seeing weight go down.
>_< I just had my levo upped about 5 weeks ago. I've had it go up and down so many times over the past 5 years, I wish it would just stabilize cuz it kills my energy levels. *sigh* I'll look into trying to see if my dr will try doing a t3/t4 combo, I've heard it helps a lot of people with hashi's to do that. It's encouraging to know the weight is coming off though despite the wacked out thyroid issue! maybe all these eggs I'm eating will help jump start a little something for me lol

Here's what I did yesterday:
B - 3 scrambled eggs in butter with salt and pepper
L - egg salad made with 4 eggs and FF mayo and mustard
D - 4 oz salmon with broccoli
Drank lots of flavored water all day and a cup of herbal tea after lunch

weighed this morning and... -.5 lb. So better than nothing! :-)

For the french toast eggs, I melt butter in a pan, and whisk together 3 eggs, sprinkle with cinnamon, 2 packs of splenda and cut in an ounce of cream cheese - I also like a splash of SF Vanilla syrup or extract. I cook them till they are pretty firm and use SF pancake syrup on them - a little goes a long way.

Egg salad is just eggs, mayo, mustard and yellow curry powder to taste.

Lol - nothing too scientific about it - I tend to cook to my taste and tweak it as I go. I think if you search for either, you'd probably get an actual measured recipe.

Thanks, Cyclo! Ingredients are just fine. I tend to cook to my taste as well and then I can never remember how much of anything I used the next time I make that dish!

Total of 7 pounds gone! Wow! I am super excited to get back to other food today and a little fearful those 7 pounds will come back, but even if I keep 5 of it off, it was totally worth it and will definitely do this again.

Good luck for everyone else!

On day 2 of my egg fast. I'm not sure if I lost anything because I couldn't weigh in yesterday. I'm going for 3 days at lower calories than usual and would love to see 120.0 or 119.anything!

Yesterday:

Breakfast - Coffee with 4 TBS of half and half, 3 scrambled eggs in a tsp of butter with a half ounce of cheddar cheese.

Lunch - 2 hard boiled eggs with mayo and mustard.

Dinner - 2 hard boiled eggs with mayo and mustard and later a hard boiled egg.

Today's plan -

Breakfast - Coffee with 4 TBS of half and half, 3 scrambled eggs in a teaspoon of butter.

Lunch - 2 hard boiled eggs with mayo and mustard.

Dinner - 2 hard boiled eggs with mayo and mustard and maybe later a hard boiled egg.

Each day is around 900 calories.

Day 1 -2.4

Had a great day. 12 eggs in and not tired of them yet. I actually like eggs and had no problem yesterday eating them. Boiled some for convenience and scrambled the rest in coconut oil. Made egg salad with 2 of the boiled, and butter on the others.

Well let's see what today has in store. Good Luck everyone!

On Day 3 I added meat to my egg fast. Bacon at lunch and ground hamburger with a little taco seasoning for dinner. I had no weight loss over the 3 days but I think I'm holding on to water right now. Good luck to everyone. I'm going to do meat and eggs the next couple of days.

Wow! 4.2 in 2 days. Not bad for a first round. I'll wait and transition into meat & egg tomorrow. Have steaks on the ready. I'll do the Meat & Egg for 3 days also and the add veggies. I'm actually craving a salad this morning. Better get some vitamins.

Have a great day Julie! When will you fast again? You are at goal so I may be alone on the next one.

I'll join you! I think I might need one after this weekend...lots of parties to go to. Late next week work?

Great Loss BTW! It's so exciting that it makes day in and day out of eggs not sooo horrible. I couldn't wait to get back to veggies either!

I ended gaining 2 pounds of it back, obviously water, but hey 7 down, 2 up is a deal I can live with.

Day 1 - egg fast
Day 2 - egg fast
Day 3 - Meat and egg fast
Day 4 - Meat and egg fast

After those 4 days I'm down .2 but that's OK. Average daily calories were only around 1000 and average carbs were around 9.

I'm going to continue to just eat very low carb for a couple of days before adding back veggies (such as half and half in my coffee, eggs, meat, a little cheese, a piece of lettuce and a slice of tomato for a burger, etc.) No salads or other veggies yet.

I saw this thread and it made me smile and it ALSO made me crave eggs so I'm going to do it! I picked up 2 dozen eggs after work this morning and I just finished 2 eggs scrambled in butter. Deviled eggs sound so good right now! Better go hardboil!

Day 1: 170.4

Today is day three of my three-day fast and so far I have only lost 1.6 pounds so far. I'm hoping that tomorrow morning will show a big loss for the three days. That's what happened last time I tried this and I didn't even do a clean fast then. The problem is keeping it off after the fast. For those who have done this before, what has been your experience with keeping the weight off once you finish the fast?

I lost 7, but gained back 2 over the next couple of days. I'm starting to lose those 2 now. However, I went right back to veggies and a higher carbs. I think it would be possible to keep it all off if you were to ease back into the carbs.

Thanks for the response Cyclo! :-) My official 3 day egg fast results - 3.4 lbs. gone! At first I was disappointed that I didn't lose as much as others, but that's a little over a pound a day which is actually fantastic. Also, I am very close to goal so I'm losing fat much slower than when I started this journey. I think I will do another egg fast next week. Thanks to everyone who took the time to post results and replies, it was very helpful for me to read this thread during my fast. :-)

Well after 1 day of egg fasting I'm down to 168.8 which is a 1.6lb loss! But I was terribly nauseated by the end of the day yesterday so I think that is all I will do of this experiment.

2 days after my Egg Fast and I'm holding steady, up .8 down .8

Dazzlmebree - I just completed my 1st round but will start another one next week some time. I need to see if the loss will maintain through adding back
veggies and nuts. So how about next week sometime.

Meat&Egg has been ok. Not very hungry so kinda boring, nothing to look forward to.

Adding salads and induction veggies this weekend. and nuts starting Monday. I have managed to ween myself from HWC and cheese so I want to add those last. I think dairy may be my stall/gainers.a

I couldn't wait!!

Well ladies! i started my first day on the egg fast! but i'm sure i will be joining you guys on my round 2 of the eggfast! Sunday will be my last day for this round! weighed in this morning at 203.1 ! so i'm hoping to get a few pounds under the big 200!!

I had 2 eggs this morning with a glass of crystal light!

Here's what i had for breakfast:

My Hot Ranchy eggs!

2 eggs
1 tbsp ranch dressing
1 oz Pepper Jack cheese, shredded (or whatever cheese you perfer)
7-8 drops hot sauce*
salt and pepper to taste

Spray your pan with cooking spray. Scramble eggs, add salt and pepper and cook until just about done to your discretion. Add in the ranch, cheese and hot sauce. Cook the mixture until eggs are done and everything is incorporated.

*Hot Sauce- use whatever you have or perfer. However I use Tapitio. (Probably the Whitest girl you'll ever meet that uses Tapitio as if its her sippy cup )

Hope this is something new you girls can try!

I lost 5.2 in the three days. Holding steady so far with Meat&Egg. Adding salad tomorrow. I don't want to loss, I just want to stay steady and creep down until the next fast.

How did you do the rest of your 1st day?
