Was down one more pound yesterday morning and am down another pound this morning! Results thus far since starting the egg fast this four days ago: 4lbs loss, so that's four pounds in four days...not too shabby.

One pound away from goal!

Thanks!!!!

Hey, I love meat and eggs too!!! Always a winner with me. I did M & E a few years ago to drop lbs in time for my neice's wedding and it worked awesomely! It was more my own modified version of M & E, as I include pecans and strawberries everyday for snacks....still worked like a charm for me.

As for this week, I did sneak in one cheddar sausage on both Monday and Tuesday (love those!) along with my eggs. However, I did just eggs all day yesterday. I've been averaging 10 - 11 eggs a day. Had a huge 5-egg salad for supper last night...gawd, never realized how delicious an egg salad could be. I thought I disliked egg salad, but I guess I"ve been wrong all this time.

I bought some chicken wings yesterday and might broil some of them up with a side of ranch dressing...not sure - only if I"m still hungry. I wasn't hungry at all last night after eating egg salad for supper so we'll see how tonight goes.

Today's menu:

Breakfast: 3 eggs scrambled 2tsp of butter.

Lunch: 3 eggs scrambled in 2 tsp of butter with 1/3 cup of cheddar cheese

Supper: (will be) 4 or 5 eggs in an egg salad with 2 tbsp of mayo, diced onion, ground pepper, salt and paprika. YUMMY!

Keep on egging!

Scale still holding at 141lbs....no change from yesterday...dang! Waiting on that elusive one pound loss. So, I did all day eggs from Mon - Thurs of this week...today, however, I'm going to eat some chicken wings and probably make some sort of low carb sweet for myself as I'm craving something sweet like nobody's business. Maybe cream cheese muffins or something with pumpkin...been craving pumpkin desserts lately. Besides, I think I deserve a reward. I'm going to do three days of eggs next week again, commencing on Monday and see what happens from there. Maybe after upping my carbs slightly today, tomorrow and Sunday, that one pound will come off anyway...I've had that happen before...we'll see.

Cheers and happy Friday everyone!

Hello Eggers!

I am please to say I met my goal! Got on the scale this morning and it read 140lbs!!!! WOOHOO! This, even after I dined on chicken wings and cream cheese muffins for supper last night...lol, the body is a curious thing. I'm tempted to aim for 135lbs now...just because I can.

I had a total of 5 or 6 eggs yesterday for breakfast and lunch.

I actually think throwing other (low carb) foods into the mix helped.

Cheers everyone!

I'm actually going to be starting today. I'm a few pounds shy of my highest weight, and obviously I'm a bit mad at how high I've gotten. I took the depo shot a few months ago, and quickly gained 20lbs ni two months! I'm not taking that again.

I'm in a 6 week boot camp and I think it's a good start to force myself to be at the gym 3 days a week, but also my motivation is lacking a little and my diet sucks. I haven't been doing good with watching what I eat so I know eating eggs or M/E works wonders for me. I haven't been following a LC diet in a while, but I thought I should get back to it.

I weighed in this morning at 172.3lbs. Two Saturday's ago, I weighed in at 172.6lbs and the personal trainer said my bodyfat was 38.9%! I want to work on lowering that. He gave me a goal to lose 15lbs and drop to 32% by my next weigh in and tape, which is about 4 weeks away. I think I can manage that. Also, our group does a contest on who loses the most inches and weight and I believe you can win $500! A normal group session costs $360 so I'd love to win the next one and pay with it that way LOL!

I'm not going to have cheese or hwc as I know I can go overboard on them. The only thing I'm trying to work out in my head is that I go on a date on Saturday to my favorite restaurant and I don't remember them having too many low carb options. I'm sure I can find something :/

Good luck eggers! I'm back to induction after a rough weekend. Meat and eggs here for me for now. I may do another eggfast in the future though! It did seem to clear the system of cravings for non LC foods!

Yay I'm happy to see people posting here again!!! For the last few days, I eat eggs for bfast and lunch and a salad with chicken or some other meat for dinner - like a half egg fast. I'm too much of a weanie to do a full egg fast. My scale is broken, so can't give a pound-by-pound account, but clothes feel looser.

Anyone have genius egg lunch ideas? I wonder if I could make a little fake quiche to pop in the microwave at work... but I'm avoiding cheese, too.

Speaking of cheese - anyone go through wicked cheese withdrawals? Like as bad as when I quit bread, I swear.

Well I really didn't get a chance to start the egg fast yet. I forgot about the Holiday weekend and I was also on a date last night. So today I'm officially starting the egg fast at 173.8lbs. I want to see how long I can stay on it for or atleast stay between an egg fast and M/E eating for a few weeks. I know I would lose weight pretty good on M/E. When I first started back low carbing last year, I got back in by M/E for a week and had lost 10lbs in 7 days. The only difference is now, I am limiting my cheese and hwc. They stall the scale for me and I can live with having them once in a blue moon.

Breakfast- Egg cream (4 eggs, 1 tbsp flax oil, 1 cup unsweetened almond milk w/ stevia and pumpkin spice to taste)
Snack- 1 hard boiled egg
Lunch- Egg cream (4 eggs, 1 tbsp coconut oil, 1 cup cold coconut thai tea, 1 serving freeze dried acai)
Snack- 1 hard boiled egg
Dinner- Egg cream (3 eggs, 1/2 tbsp natural peanut butter, 1 cup unsweetened almond milk)

=1350 calories, 100gr of fat, 8 carbs, 84gr protein

If you couldn't tell, I egg creams! I have a travel blender so it makes for an easy to go meal. I also try to eat every 2-3 hours to keep my metabolism going. I'm gonna have to hard boil some eggs today!

I stocked up on a months worth of vitamins at GNC. I buy the Active Women's vitapack, and they were 50% off. So I also bought the Beauty pack for $25 which you can take in conjunction with the Women's vitapack and holy cow.. I just opened up both boxes and realized how much vitamins/minerals I'll be taking a day. I'll be taking up to 13 pills a day! There's an energy blend in the one pack that I won't be taking, so that will minus 2 pills a day. But I'm going to try and take them everyday for a month. I've been terrible with taking my vitamins, and I've been interested in trying the beauty pack since my skin has been awful the past few months. I figured today would be the best day to start since I'm starting a new diet, I should also focus on my vitamin regiment as well.

Anyone else egging? It's quiet in here!

Well my first day didn't go too well since I OD'd on cheese and spicy pepperoni LOL! But I stuck to LC atleast. I was craving chocolate ice cream, and I'd rather have way too much LC food than give in. That's what keeps me in this never ending cycle of starting over. I don't want to do that anymore.

Yesterday I did awesome. I stuck to eggs, had very little cheese, and snacked on some pepperoni. I drank a little over 12 cups of water, and remembered to take all my vitamins. I woke up today with a 2.2lb loss since yesterday morning! I didn't work out on Sun or Mon, but I went to the gym this morning. I didn't do too much. 20 minutes on the elliptical. I didn't have much motivation, so I'm thinking about stopping in again later for another 20 minutes. I'd like to build up to an hour of cardio a day, even if I space it out.

I'm still egging, yes. I deviated slightly this past weekend and had a low carb protein bar...didn't have any affect on the scale. Yesterday, I made some parmesan almond thin crackers. I just started TOM needed something crisp and crunchy very badly. But I'm still predominately eating meat and eggs.

Breakfast this morning:

2 strips of bacon, 2 eggs.

I'm Eggcited too!!

So I just spent the last hour reading through your thread here...and I've decided to do an egg fast to jump start my body to lose weight, for the 100th time -_-. I was doing the medi weight loss clinic and lost almost 18 lbs in 4 weeks which was great, but I couldn't afford to keep going in for the injections and weigh-ins. So I've decided to do my own VLC diet and take my vitamins and such on my own. I did Atkins years ago and lost a lot very quickly but stopped because I listened to the hype about it being very bad for you. I have hashimoto's Thyroiditis so over the past few years I've really packed on the lbs which is depressing, not to mention finding out last summer I'm casein intolerant as well as gluten intolerant. I think going LC is the only way to get me to stop craving carbs and therefore stop craving sugar, daiy, and all things gluten so I can finally start eating how I am supposed to be eating.

*sigh* Sorry for the long post! Just figured I'd give you girls a little background on myself. :-) Here's to a successfull few days!

Sara

Egg creams?

So I've seen a few posts where people make egg creams...I've never heard of that before. How exactly do you make them? Do you use raw eggs? I'm not sure if that sounds as good as it seems from people talking about it

Newbie here!

Hi guys! I have been doing Stillman's QWL for the past two weeks, but I started the 3 day egg fast today to see if i could lose any more fat before starting induction-style low carb this weekend. So far today I've had 3 scrambled eggs for breakfast and a 4-egg frittata for a late lunch.

I, too, am intrigued by the egg creams. They actually sound pretty good to me. Are the basic ingredients eggs, some form of oil, some form of milk and some kind of spice/flavoring to your liking? I looked up the traditional egg cream recipe and it doesn't even have eggs in it!

WOW! Eggs!

Day 1 = -3
Day 2 = -2

I am super excited for day 3 today. I didn't think it would work like this, is it possible to lose more water mid lc-ing?

Sara- I too have hashi's and took me getting on T3/T4 combo and supplementing with zinc and selenium and a B-complex to really start seeing weight go down.

That's awesome Cyclo! I can't wait to see your loss tomorrow.

I hope to have similar results. I am starting over today after a complete failure last night. I was doing great until I went to my BF's and ate chicken wings with sauce. BUT today is a new day and I will do better.
