Jenny, your Stuffed Chicken Fiesta Ole looks wonderful! I love Mexican food but never think to try to cook any. Will definitely have to try this one!

Had ham for dinner last night. Too much sodium. Going to try to go easy on salt today.

wow, this thread is moving faster than ever...i'm having trouble keeping up!...lol...

MAMA!!!!...so good to see you and the cutie pie...i've missed you and am happy you have been doing so well...as i've said before, i think you reached your healthy weight a while ago, so i'm happy you are simply maintaining that healthy weight range, rather than trying to lose more...good for you, girl...hope to see you as often as possible... :-)

marilee, AWESOME!!!...you have been the picture of discipline and focus and it's showing on the scale...i'm so proud of you...

ff, we'll definitely shoot for that game this year, bro...

jennyf, you've lost 3 lbs. eating those beautiful dishes?...you should be on TV...lol...omg, that looks so good!

"gladys" - don't sweat the slip - take it from someone who slips regularly and still has still lost 40 lbs. this year...eating off-plan is not a crime and not a sign of weakness - it is a choice, plain and simple...and you can make a different choice at your next snack or meal...YOU CAN DO THIS!...and we're here for you...

bec, i hope kbeth and jenny (not jennyf :-) weigh in on those noodles - they had quite a time with them during blitz I...thanks for sharing the recipes - i'm always looking for new stuff to eat...the ground beef one sounds a bit like a sauteed version of our lasagna filling!...yum!...btw, sf jello has 15 calories and is hardly a curfew violation...lol...

heather, 7 lbs. is AMAZING!!!...you're doing everything right, girl...congrats...

hi tammy!

hi abi!...salt does me in every time... :-)

last night's dinner was delish.

i was just about to heat up the Romanian steak and cooked escarole, which the Mirage diner, in Bklyn, does beautifully, and the lightbulb went on. Why not steak and eggs? So I made 2 sunny side up eggs to put on top of the steak, which i coated with a combo of deli & chinese mustard (never had that with eggs before), and some generous cracks of black pepper. The veggie harmonized wonderfully with that. Later for dessert (& long before the 9 pm curfew, i had 2 thin slices of muenster cheese. Lack of choices on 20 grams or less? I think NOT. Total net carb grams for 4/4/11 is 12 grams. Today, i might enjoy a Swiss Miss LC hot chocolate with whipped cream. I'm worth it. (5 gr) FF

wonderful bkfst this a.m.

i smashed 2 eggs together with some mayo, mincing in a bit of onion and green pepper, just as much for color as well as flavor. That, and a thin slice of cucumber and tomahto sat between 2 slices of low carb toast. Total net carbs was just under 5 gr. This w.o.e is miraculous, and i NEVER take it for granted. FF

Abigale, having been raised by a good Mexican mama, I was weaned on Hispanic food. It's in my blood. I could never totally give it up, plus I'm married to an Italian who cooks like nobody's business. I'm just learning to cook foods that have that 'ethnic' flair while staying true to my program. this has been fun to try and create dishes that follow my diet plan. Tonight I'm making a plate of spaghetti squash and topping with an Italian beef mixture. I'm sure I'll have more photos to post. It's all about the food right?

Hi Ladies! May I join your challenge? This is just the kick in the pants I need I want to lose about 25 lbs by summer. It's a bit high for a goal, but i've done it before and i can do it again. i'm 30, divorced, living in las vegas, and going to school for nursing.

this morning i've had a whey protein shake with flax seed, a few frozen berries, and unsweetened almond milk.
for lunch i'll have my homemade chicken and veggie soup (very low carb)
snack will be celery and a carrot with italian dressing
dinner will be a baked chicken leg with steamed broccoli.
lots of water, and if i'm still hungry before bed i'll have some cottage cheese.

my workout plan is to do an hour of cardio every day- whether it be walking, jogging, or kickboxing or spinning. Boot camp class on sundays. light weights twice a week.

Hope to post here daily!

Have a great tuesday everyone!

Welcome Barbarella, glad you're in our Blitz! Your plans for food and exercise are excellent!

C'mon Marilee, we're rootin' for the Twoderland for you girl!

OK Jenny, to go with your beautiful meal, you have to have this:

Diet Margaritas:
1 can diet soda (Diet Sprite, Diet 7 UP, or Fresca) (I like Fresca)
1/8 cup lime juice
1 tube Crystal Light Lemonade Mix-ins (or more if you like)
About 10 ice cubes
2 oz tequila

Enjoy!
Nancy

wow, gibby...u are running neck & neck with me to reach...

2-DORVILLE. who is gonna get there first??? The Gods will decide. Please don't make it easy for me!!! I like a challenge. Give it all u got. Today, I bumped into my podiatrist as he was on his way to or from surgery. He assured me that he is not giving up the hunt for a treadmill for me. What a sweetheart. I am enjoying my institution's official fish...what else? TILAPIA. it was covered in a spinach and cream sauce. i scraped it all away, as i never know what is in the sauce. neither did the server. I am having that with string beans. Tonight I am making a stirfry with sliced porkchop. Hope everyone is having a good day. Oh.. i climbed up 192 stairs so far today. (or 4 x 48). I am drinking as much plain water as I can. In other words, i am doing how much i can to make the scale MY slave instead of vice versa. FF

Glad to see the sense of humour hasn't been lost with the lbs !

I hope everybody is well! I'd like to belatedly join Blitz V, if I may.

I've had a terrible month diet-wise, caused by:-

(a) not handling external stressors well - work and trying to buy a house
(b) focusing on weight, rather than keeping it simple and sticking to plan
(c) a combination of complacency and self-sabotage

For the first time in 12 months, I ate properly off-plan on Sunday, after a month of increasing carb-creep and over-eating. I've definitely gained weight - I'd guess 10 lbs or so - but there's nothing to be gained by dwelling on that.

This blitz I only have one goal, which is to eat on plan each day. That's it - nothing more fancy than that !

so glad to have u back, Clanger.

Stress can really do a number on eating behaviors. In the past, i binged endlessly for no reason at all. Thank the Gods. that is history. I am too bloody goal oriented to let such a thing recur. So, exhale...and let the games begin...again. Love & Profits: FLATFERENGHI

It really is a party around here isn't it??

So glad to see you back Clanger....yes indeed stress is what does it every single time!!

Tony you're so funny with the harem comment! You & FF do a great job of keeping us occupied!!

I'm out to dinner tonight with the in-laws who are still in town visiting...thank heavens they leave on Thursday, it's hard to stay on track when eating out this much. That's ok though, I'll do my best and deal with it after they leave...I see another Fat Fast in my very near future!!!

Marilee you are doing so AWESOME!!! Yes ma'am Twoderville is the next stop for you!

Welcome Barbarella!

You know it's too bad we don't all live in the same city....we'd have one heck of a great party!!!! I vote that Jennyf cooks for us and Nancy mixes the drinks!!

Vicki...where are you???? Come join the fun!!!

ha ha ha...ha-rem...LOL...omg, you girls would kill me, but i'd die a happy man!...

CLANGER!!!!!...you crazy brit - i've missed your sense of humor...how many times have you left me hanging waiting for the punchline?...i'm starting to think you post here in between prison sentences...LOLOL...good to see ya, girl!...

ff, that is an impressive amount of stair climbing!...seriously!...

okay, ff and marilee, i'm gonna stand at the finish line with a camera...i'm sensing a photo-finish!...

tammy, you are all good cooks, but there's just something about jennys...our new jennyf takes "dirty" pictures of her beautiful dishes, and our original jenny makes me fat just describing her menus...lol...

had a good day today - ate more tonight than normal, but less today so i think it averaged out okay...i'm taking everyone out for one of my daughters' 20th b-day tomorrow - she wants italian, so that will be a challenge, but i'll survive...

p.s. ff, i think it's my turn to occupy the harem tomorrow ;-)

Actually Tony... I think the harem is keeping you occupied! You're cracking me up!

No dirty pictures to post tonight my friend.. I just had a tuna salad for dinner... Of course it was the prettiest tuna salad I've ever seen! I have this thing about 'presentation'. Food not only has to 'taste good' but it must look pretty too! I always feel much better eating something that looks like it came out of a Bon Appetite magazine!

Headed off to la la land here, but before I go Tony (and in my best Austin Powers voice)... "Oh beehave!" yourself!!

Jenny

P.S. I'm loving this forum to itty bitty bits!

Lol, Tony....you're the best!

I couldn't agree more about the "Jenny's" Jennyf: I love to cook....but I need to work on the whole presentation thing......you do make very pretty dishes! and I also love this thread....aren't these guys the best?!?!?!

Well I managed to beg off of dinner with the in-laws....worked late and pushed it off til tomorrow....but no getting around tomorrow, it's their last night.

Have a great night everyone!!

Hi everyone it's the "original Jenny"

This thread has really grown--welcome to all the enthusiastic newcomers!

I'm staying on plan for the most part but enjoying some red wine at nights and eating too much good low carb food to be losing... I'm waiting for the light to click and get back on the losing track but in the meantime I'm really trying hard not to gain and so far I've been holding steady bouncing up and down in the same 3lbs range.

I would like to lose about 20 to 25 more pounds eventually (have lost about 24 in the last 6 months) but I'm not feeling too inspired lately. I have been involved with the Blitzes for almost the past year and they have helped alot. So, I'll keep checking in and hopefully be back in the losing action soon.

Good Luck to all the newbies, maybe your discipline will be contagious if I keep reading/posting...

keeping busy, Barbarella, is the key to my success, too.

too much unstructured time after work, and on weekends. Now that the days will be longer, i will spend more time outside (and away from the fridge). So glad to have u aboard, Barbarella. Welcome!!! Also, I squeezed out another stair climbing for a total of 240 steps for the day. I also got in over 80 oz of water. Love & Profits: FLATFERENGHI

new jenny - that breakfast photo is just not right!...does the erie canal reach new hampshire?...if so, you're gonna have a lunch buddy!...
