Abi, yes I am thankful that the plan is coming together. The unfortunate thing though, I found out that the hHCG drops I have been using don't actually contain hcg! It is all amino acids probably the only reason I am losing is because I am under 750 cals per day. I found this out after reading about hcg on another site and did some checking around. I have since ordered hcg pellets that actually do have hcg in them.

Well Vicki, whatever works - right? Will you have to take the pellets just once a day?

Marilee, have you lost 19 pounds in 7 days? That is fantastic!

I just had some egg salad for breakfast along with 2 cups of reg. coffee with cream and coconut oil. As many eggs as I eat I really don't like them all that much. lol I guess you can say I don't ever catch myself craving them.

I am trying to train myself to be more organized cleaning and getting rid of clutter at home and at Mom's. I am a compulsive person not just in my eating and when I used to have whole days off and needed to get things staightened up I would clean like a wild women all day long, hardly taking time to eat. I can't do that now because I never have more than an hour or two at a time at either home. By the time I get the essentials done I have lost my resolve to dig out further. So I have discovered another thread here at LCF that I plan to start checking in on. You tell 3 things you have accomplished for the day and 3 things you are going to do. Baby steps. Hope it works. I really feel more serene when things are in order and really clean. Wish me luck!

Everyone have a great day and I will talk to you later!

I was up 0.6 lbs today. However, I started VLCD last Friday so my overall wt loss I am pleased with. I am not going to let this gain deter me.

vicki... i am so overwhelmed at your loss.

u really deserve the Mahatma Ghandhi award for caloric restraint. I do more than 750 calories at 1 meal. Well, the weekend is almost upon us. I am researching yet another fitness ctr(Ballys)to see if the price is right. i just want a program that involves oodles of cardio, and SOME weight training. We shall see. Sunday is back to the beach for some more walking, and a trip to the bakery for some low carb gelato, and if i get a deal at Ballys, then i shall end the day with a 1st session. FF

Nope - the first round of hcg is the best and I lost a lot - over 20 pounds (I can't remember the exact number now) and Vicki is on round one so she should have great success. The other rounds aren't quite as productive.

Thanks ff, I am not disappointed. Keeping the calories under 750 hasn't been too bad actually. I like the fact that I don't feel bloated, I am beginning to see my cheek bones and clothes are fitting a bit better.

Walking on the beach uses different muscles than just walking on a sidewalk, track or treadmill. What a workout.

having a great lunch.

TWO bacon cheeseburgers, with 1 sl tom & 1 thin outer ring of onion for each. 1 of those burgers is sitting between 2 slices low carb toast. (& 1 pickle spear with each)it is incredible;I, who used to eat 1/2 dozen bagels at 1 sitting or a whole package of Levi's Jewish rye (with seeds)at one sitting have no problem with these 2 little lc slices of whole, multigrain bread a day for 5 days a week on the average. i usually leave my weekends starch free. I guess I must hang up my old moniker of GRAINiac. FF

Hey Tony! We all miss you here especially FF. Hope you are having a great time with your buddy!

I had a bowl of ground beef for lunch and an slice of swiss cheese and a cube steak for dinner. Not doing anything special at the moment. Not counting protein grams and not drinking a whole lot of water. I guess I am just coasting right now but not gaining thank goodness!

well, it is official.. i start BALLYS Monday after work.

in addition to the exercise itself, an =ly important perk, is that the trip there, and then the trip home, plus the time there eats up precious free time, of which i have way too much. Free time for me is always dangerous time. Too much opportunity to eat, or think of food. One never gets cured of an eating disorder(which I have). One can only come to terms with it, and devise strategies to work around it. Well, this is one. Owing to the wonderful and calorie rich lunch, i am not really VERY hungry. I will, no doubt have something light, or maybe just water, seltzer, and diet soda. Their best deal (Ballys, that is)is still financially challenging, but the advantages are worth it. May the Gods have mercy on my greedy little soul. FF

FF, great post. This is so true "One never gets cured of an eating disorder". That's why if I ever get to my goal I will still continue to post here. In the blink of an eye I can put on 10 to 20 pounds. I have done this over and over. I'm sure close to 100 pounds. Wonderful about starting at Bally's on Monday!

Tony, do you have a smoker or did you buy the chicken already smoked? Sounds delicious. So glad you are keeping with the program!

kbeth and Jenny, how are you both doing this week?

Vicki and Marilee how is Dad/brother doing?

Going to try to get back drinking more water today. Have a gallon of icy cold water in frig calling to me. Talk to you all later when you all are awake! lol

ff, tear up the treadmill or whatever you chose to do at Bally's

Tony, glad to see you back bud.

Abi, You asked about the pellets in an earlier post, they will be taken 3x a day as are the drops. Thanks for asking about my dad. He is doing much better. He is getting stronger and has now been home for a week. He had a follow up yesterday and primary was pleased, although he still had some fluid in his lungs that the Dr. felt would resolve itself. He goes Monday to Ortho doc and maybe they will take off the cast and go to a boot which will make it much easier to get around. Currently he can't put any wt on that leg so they rigged up a walker with an attached knee pad. He hobbles around with the walker and one leg. The thing is, their house has many step up and downs even on the main floor.

It is rainy and icky here again today. Yesterday was gorgeous but for some reason we are in the rain cycle of which we do NOT need. My son has a baseball game today, but who knows.

I didn't weigh today as I was at my fiance's this morning and his scale tends to weigh lower. Besides, I want to have consistency with my weight so I think skipping a day is ok and I will weigh tomorrow on my scale.

Good morning! New numbers Down 2.8 pounds! I can smell the 280's!!!! Back in December, before I started this program, I didn't think I would ever be below 300 pounds!

Another hot one today - no surprise! Must go and get some things done before it gets too hot. TTYL

Just checking in--doing okay--not great/not losing but not really gaining so I guess that's good.

I will be starting harvest on our families little one acre cherry orchard in a couple days--we don't hire help and do all the work harvesting (pick the cherries, etc.) and it's quite long days so I probably won't post for a little while. I'll try not to eat too many cherries, they're about a carb apiece!

Have a good weekend everyone!

Jenny, I'm afraid cherries are one fruit I don't think I could resist - grapes are the other. Hope you don't overwork yourself harvesting. Am sure it is long hot work and hard on the back. Good exercise though! We'll miss you while you are gone.

Vicki, glad your Dad is coming along so well. The boot would sure make life easier for him especially with all the steps around his house. On the hcg how long do you go before you get to maintain for awhile and then do your carb and calorie up days?

Marilee, way to go on the 2.8 pounds! You are just a hop, skip and a jump to the 280's!

Abi, I believe Phase 2 can be 21 to 42 days. Then Phase 3 you up the calories and basically do low carb for 21 days. Phase 4 included good carbs but some people skip that phase and go back to 1 and 2.

Bought some pork spareribs yesterday and just baked them in the oven. Put a very thin coating of bbq sauce on at the end. They wern't bad. Just had a couple more for lunch. A nice change from ground beef and eggs. Oh, by the way, had my usual scrambled eggs and bacon at the restaurant after Church this morning. Haven't decided about dinner yet.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful Sunday! Talk to you later!

Down another 1.2 - 290! Just a smidgeon more and then I will be in my new goal of hitting the 280's

Abi, I know you didn't ask me, but after the dosing phase of hcg (21-42 days) you then add fats - a lot like Atkins induction - and gradually add calories so you are eating about 1500 calories a day. The only thing is you can have NO sugar or starch of any kind.

I'm in the middle of a good book, so I want to get back to that but had to check in.

TTYL! Stay cool

Ballys begins tomorrow after work.

glad to see you back, Tony. Great restraint re: no bbq sauce. i also learned from past mistakes regarding the walking. i stayed on the boardwalk and did 2 round trips between Brighton bay 1 and Coney Island. That is about 3 miles. Plus, i rested my feet after the 1st round trip. Well, i am closing out for this evening. in 20 minutes is the series finale of Law & Order: Criminal Intent. I am gonna miss Goren & Eames. Maybe they will tie the knot after all? Love & Profits: FLATFERENGHI

Law and Order Criminal Intent is my favorite of the L and O series FF. Unfortuntately I only get to see reruns. Let me know if Eames and Goren get together! Glad you paced yourself on the walking. You've got to take good care of those feet!

Welcome back Tony! We missed you. Like part of the family was gone. Excellent not gaining any weight last week.

Marilee, thanks for the info on the hcg program. Love a good book!

Vicki, know the weight jump is just one of those water weight fluctuations. Bet you will be down today!

in all the excitement, i just came to a sobering thought this a.m.

i do not have enough $$$ in my checking acct. i also realized, that i do not like the idea of them siphoning latinum from that acct, once they have the acct #. i did not look closely enough at the other place. if they have at least 1 treadmill, or stationary bike on the premises, i will go with the other place that accepts cash. I will have to wait till next week. FF

I was up the past two days due to staying on plan, back to 197.8 today. You were right Abi. I am almost out of the drops that don't contain HCG, but the stingy one that I am, I am going to finish them (don't want to waste them LOL). But, I started using the pellets once a day for two days now and will continue using up the drops. The pellets are to last for 40 some days, so I think I will continue on P2 until bottle of pellets are gone. This should take me to vacation of which it will be easier to manage when on P3.

I have been dealing with constipation though and have started taking psyllium once to twice per day for a few days now. What have others done to deal with constipation?

ff, man, I hope you are able to get the finances under control and are able to continue with the fitness place.

Good morning!

Well, I was hoping to hit the 280's today, but held steady at 290, which is fine. It means it is becoming a "firm" loss. I will get to my goal in the next couple of days.

Tony, I love to read and I really love mysteries of all kinds (light and funny or very serious and scary). I was in the middle of a semi-light one (not too serious but there was murder and attempted murder) called "Duplicity Dogged the Dachsund" by Blaize Clement. I hope I don't get in trouble for saying the name of the book and author. I got into a little trouble last week with the administrators - I had a lapse and typed something I shouldn't have, so now all my posts are being monitored.

Reminder, re-read the terms and conditions of the site

115 degrees today-toasty!!!!!

I'm at work - need to get started. TTYL
