ff, i wish you were here to have dinner with me sunday...not sure what's going on, but i'm thinking the kids will wanna take me out to dinner and i will behave...thanks for the well-wishes, bro!...

nancy, i LOVE potato salad and can't walk past it either!...who invented all this stuff!

vicki, you'll do well this summer - i can feel it!...just take it one meal/snack at a time and draw a line at your current weight...YOU CAN DO IT!

abi, i know what you mean about reunions - the wine is a good idea...you'll look great and be fine...and there won't be anyone nicer than you there...we'll all be with you in spirit, girl...lol...

marilee, you're doing great!...you'll be well into the 200s again after this phase...keep it up, kid...

i weighed in at 212 today - up three lbs....the party food and the salt got me...i sampled a bit here and there and most was salty, so i added a combination of fat and water, i think...i am 10 lbs. over my low in april and i can feel it...i feel motivated to behave, so i'm hoping i can drop 2-3 lbs this week...

good morning, everyone and happy saturday!...

i'm planning on drinking at least a gallon of water today to try to flush the salt/fluid out of my system...then it's two weeks of clean eating to reduce the disappointment of my performance during this blitz...i am currently up 8 lbs. for the 3 months, and that is the first time i have gained during a blitz...

time to shake it off and prepare for blitz VI...

Got in late yesterday. Apparently, I am up 1.8 pounds. Not what I wanted, but normally after a vacation week, I would be up at least five pounds. I did go off plan about three times, nothing huge. Yesterday was not so good though due to travelling all day and just limited access to low carb foods. Anyways, just saying good morning and hope you all are doing well.

Wondering how FF's first day at the spa is going. Hope it will be an enjoyable experience for him. He deserves it!

Tony, I think you will see a big drop with all the water. I'm betting at least half of that 8 pounds is water weight. I just know in two weeks you will show a loss for this blitz.

ncgirl! You did so great on your vacation. We are all proud of you. Don't think I could have done that myself.

Marilee, what are you having to eat today? I don't blame you for the little bit of cream in your coffee. I can't drink it black either and milk tastes like water in my coffee.

So far today I ate the other cube steak with green peppers and onions that I found in the freezer yesterday. Trying not to eat too much before we go to reunion tonight. We will go by Mom's at 4 to check on her and then sister will be coming to put Mom to bed.
Not going to eat at the reunion and don't want to come home at 7pm and have to cook. DH says he wants to go by Taco Bell and pick up something for dinner. The smell of mexican food will drive me bananas but there is a KFC on the other half of the building so I can get some roasted chicken and will be happy.

It has been a busy day today for me. I was down 6 lbs and am 210.8. This is R1P2VLCD2. The unfortunate thing is, I don't consider anything above 205 a loss really because I have been hovering around 200-205 for several months now. Therefore, the 11 lbs gained I don't really want to count since it was only temporary. When I begin to lose from 205, then it will really mean something to me. Does that make sense?

FF, you have to do what works for you. Life has to be enjoyable. You know how I feel about walks on the beach. The best and most peaceful exercise. Enjoy!

Vicki, I understand completely about not counting the losses until you get to where you left off. Back on the hcg you will start to see the pounds come down from the 205 level.

Obviously I am back from the school reunion. All the stress and anxiety was mostly all for naught. I got to see 3 people that I really wanted to see and had no idea they would show up. I knew in my heart I would regret not going but these sorts of things have always been hard for me. I'm always glad after the fact that I made myself do it. I guess it's like eating low carb. It's hard to do at first but I am glad after the fact that I did it and continue to do it.

Had a grilled leg and a thigh from KFC and DH had 3 taco supremes. Never even got a whiff of that wonderful smell of mexican food for some odd reason so am full and not craving what he had.

Everyone have a great Sunday and talk to you later.

hey guys!

abi, i'm so happy you enjoyed the reunion...i have to force myself to do that stuff too, but i'm always happy i did!...i love kfc grilled chicken, but i think it must have msg on it, cuz every time i eat it, i feel like i am in a stupor...had a piece last week :-)

vicki, it ALL counts!...you deserve a pat on the back so i'm giving it to ya <pat>...

ff, enjoy the beach walk and best of luck at the gym on monday...

ncgirl, you did great on vacation...1.8 lbs is "no change" in my book...

had dinner at an italian restaurant tonight in the north end of boston...had the veal chop and it was DELICIOUS!...avoided the pasta and bread...it was a good night...

the lightbulb just went on!!!

the few times in the last 14 months that i deviated from plan, especially last month did NOT result in putting all the weight back on. I was able, each time, to get back on the horse and undo the damage. I think we must realize that a temporary slip (and we must hope they are few and far between)is easily repairable. No need for the weeping, wailing, and gnashing of teeth. To assume a demeanor of futility will bring us back to the bad old ways, and very quick weight gain. Now, off to the beach!!! FF

Happy Fathers Day to you dads here or anyone who acts like a dad LOL.

I can't believe there are only 11 days left in this Blitz. At least I will be able to contribute a loss as long as I keep doing what I am doing.

ff, have fun at the beach today.

Tony, WTG for having a good night. Sounds like something from the Black Eyed Peas LOL.

Abi, so glad to hear about your reunion.

When I was loading up for this HCG plan I am following, I went out and bought a new scale. The one I had was digital and accurate, but, the number display was black on gray and there was a crack right down the center of the cover plate. And, with my old eyes and not wearing my glasses while weighing, I had a heck of a time reading the numbers. Also, it only weighed in half pound measurements. My new scale is very slim-line. The numbers are big and red so I can read it and it measures in 0.2 lb measurements. Nice.

Yipee, 205.4 today vlcd3. Down 5.4 lbs from yesterday for a total 2 day loss of 11.4. However, I am sure it has been mostly water weight despite what Simeon says. Anyways, I will take it. Now that I am at the 205 mark, what I lose from now on really counts in my book.

great job, vicki! I am so proud of you for fighting through the hard times to get to where you are...you're gonna be a skinny-minnie soon and in 1derland!

was at 213 yesterday and am back down to 210 today...it's amazing how much salt and fluid affects our weight...today is the first day i don't feel completely bloated...i'm hoping the way i felt the past few days will keep me on the straight and narrow for awhile...

i will not show a loss for this blitz - it's too late for that - but i'd like to keep the gain to 4-6 lbs. and then use the next blitz to get to 1derland myself!...

Happy Father's Day!!!!

Good job, Vicki! I'm down only a pound since loading but have been flushing out water (if you know what I mean) like crazy today so I'll probably be down some more tomorrow.

Have a great day, everyone!

just got back. gonna do it again tomorrow.

then, from there to the fitness spa-only 1 bus...and it's the #1.(i will just be careful not to step in #2). if i get there early enough, perhaps...just perhaps i can double it. But,I will have to rest after the 1st 5 miles (and i think it's more). i will bring an old sheet i have (from a KKK white sale)and rest for 1 half hour. i did my ritualized pilgrimage to THE BAKERY, after the beach today, (same #1 bus), and had my usual-small coffee, sesame low carb cookie, and pistachio low carb gelato (4.1 gr). So far that is the only thing i've eaten today. It will be either cheeseburgers or chinese. Oh. on those after work fitness sessions, i will be home after curfew. so on those evenings, the rule will be in abeyance. We have to be practical. I hope y'all are enjoying Father's Day, be ye Dads or not. Question for u, Tony. Perhaps, u can cut down on the sodium w/o eliminating it. Na seems to be sabotaging your weigh-ins. Thanks for encouraging me to post everyone, I pop in to read when I can but am really busy and sometimes don't take the time to post.

I made some low carb treats to take to my dad's, I'm going to visit tomorrow--cheesecake and poundcake (made with coconut flour) here's a link to recipe if anyone is interested, it's a very good recipe. Healthy Indulgences: pound cake

There are alot of other good recipe's on this Blog

I've been doing pretty well--haven't had any slips and have been walking up my back hill a couple times this last week, it's quite a work out.

The scale is bouncing all around, but I'm not really losing. I need to work on not overeating low carb stuff and trying to drink more water...started taking fish oil too as I just had blood work and my cholesterol is creeping up--I'm pretty discouraged by that as I have been eating pretty healthy this last year but I remembered I was taking fish oil last year and I stopped doing it so it probably was helping my cholesterol. Anyways, it's not so high I need meds or anything and the good news is I was about 14lbs lighter than last year--I wish I was down lower but at least I didn't gain!

Have a good Father's Day Tony--I bet your 5 kids are treating you right, you seem like a great Dad!

Hardly any extra time today to get on computer and should have been in bed at 8:30. Had a pretty good day. Eggs and bacon at breakfast out today and a big rib eye for dinner. Also about 2 oz of cheese.

Hope you all had a great day. Will write more tomorrow.

hi jenny, sounds like you are doing well...i overdo the low carb stuff too...i would eat half that pound cake!...lol...thanks for the father's day wishes...i think i am a pretty good dad - i know my kids have always come first...

i keep forgetting to pick up fish oil - my cholesterol is high and the doc said i could try that before going on meds...do you know if there is something special i should be looking for as i've never bought or taken them before?...

abi, ribeyes are my favorite!...

marilee, best of luck with all that flushing and blushing!

ff, you're right about the sodium...btw, nice job on the walk today and good luck tomorrow...i can't wait to hear how it goes...remember to use moderation - we don't want injuries...i'm a little worried about you getting all buffed up around the harem...

i finished up a good day today:
b: grilled chicken
l: tuna salad

Hiya Everyone! Hope you are all doing well.

I have been reading along daily to your posts and find them still to be inspiring and great. I can't believe these past three months when I started this first blitz are nearly done.

I really like breaking things down into three month increments it makes things feel so much more manageable.

So my goal for this blitz was to loose 20 pounds! I am down 15.6 pounds as of today and there is still a very slim chance that I could reach 20 but to be honest as much as I would really love to get there I can't really complain about my loss and feel so thankful for it and I also know how freaking hard I have worked to loose this weight. I feel that it is an effort that is constant 24 hours a day but saying that it is also effortless in a way and I now just know what not to eat.

The longer I continue low-carbing the longer I believe that I can keep it up. I have started drinking alcohol about once a week over the past month but I drink a lot slower than before and try to avoid any sugary mixers wherever possible. I don't want to stop living my life after all I am a young single girl in my 20s and I need to get out there!!

Anyway that's it for me for now but I will check in again before the end of the month and I definitely look forward to joining you all for Blitz VI in July.

Becca

Yea Marilee! Down 3 pounds in less than 3 days!

Jenny, I looked at the cococut pound cake recipe and wow does that look good. I am like Tony though, and I would scarf it down. Boy do those cherries sound good. They are like potato chips, I can't eat just one. I went through a bottle of the Big Red Krill oil recently. I had a coupon because it is pretty expensive. What I liked about it was that it was a small gell pill unlike some big football sized ones. I hate swallowing pills and these went down so smooth and no fishy aftertaste.

So far today I have had a strip of bacon, some liverwurst type slices (blah) and leftover ribeye. I am enjoying that right now.

Tony, hope you had a nice Father's Day.

FF, how did your first spa trip go?

Vicki, wonderful you are back to 205 and with the new scales it's all downhill from there!

Hey everyone! Keeping accountable. So far today for breakfast I had three pieces of Kraft Deluxe cheese slices fried to crisps... Wonderful! Lunch was a grilled chicken salad with buffalo sauce and blue cheese dressing. I had no idea that Jersey Mike's has a Sub in a Tub on their menu now for low carb. Basically you can get any of their subs minus the bread over a salad. Awesome! Plus... Drum roll, please. My son and I joined the gym today. As part of the membership, you get two free visits with a personal trainer with a body analysis, work out plan if you want it and weight loss goals. I hate to get my body fat measured as I know it's going to be the obvious... "Girl you are fffattt!" I'm just saying. Anyways, going to do it on Thursday and try to go to the gym at least five times a week. They have Zumba five times a week and a ton of other classes like cardio kickboxing and funky fit dance. So I'm totally there. The best part is that it is literally within five minutes of my house so I have no excuse not to go. My 16 year old son will drag me there every day before his football practice and I signed a one year agreement so I will be going to get my money's worth. Anyways, that's the scoop!

Becca, you have done just great! Losing almost 16 pounds in 3 months is excellent! You are well on your way to your goal. Glad to hear from you.

Marilee, cute new avitar!

ncgirl, when I see Zumba videos I think that would be the most fun way to exercise. Great that your son will keep you motivated and going to the gym regularly. Curious about the funky fit dance?

FF, where are you?

the chair upon which i sit to communicate with y'all at home.

is only 1 step fom my bed. Yet, it seemed to be on the other side of the galaxy. That 5 mile walk (and I think it was more)left me totally crippled. How I made it to the bathroom in time was a miracle. Apparently there was more being worked on Sunday than my feet alone. Needless to say, i will have to wait till the weekend to get to the that fitness spa, if i don't wuss out, that is. I am back at work now. I did enjoy that walk. I suppose, once my system gets used to it, I won't have such a reaction. Well, summer is here. I am already looking forward to December weather. FF
