HI everyone! Just doing a quick fly-by! Busy day today...

I'm so happy! New numbers on the scale. I may just hit 290 by the 22nd after all.

hi abi, thanks for sharing the restaurant story...hope they are able to attract a breakfast following and can keep doing it...

marilee, congratulations once again!...you are doing so well...if you can get to 290 by the 22nd, that will be AMAZING!

back home from texas and feeling very good...ate one good meal today and avoided the kitchen altogether when i got home tonight AFTER curfew...that took willpower cuz i am hungry!...but i don't want to undo a great week...

i need to trend down to have any hope of getting to 1derland by the end of june and this blitz...that's gonna take some work, since i slipped and gained as much as 8 lbs during this blitz...i'm feeling like i'm ready to make a run at it... :-)

looking forward to weigh-in tomorrow and it's been awhile since i felt that way!

Hi guys!!

Glad to see everyone is doing so well! Tony that's fabulous that you were able to lose while on your trip....you're back on track and heading the right direction!

Nancy and Marilee you're both doing so great...awesome job!!!!

Vicki, how are you doing honey?

FF, how's the food situation at work?

Gosh I'm sorry I've been so scarce lately, I've been pulling double duty at work juggling multiple properties on opposite sides of town....the good news is that I've been so busy I haven't had time to eat as much....the bad news is that when have had time I haven't been making the best choices. I am trying SO HARD to not let all of this change chaos derail me. It seems that in the past every time I get into a good groove life happens and I let the chaos totally undo me. I will NOT let that happen again....I just can't!

Hi Tammy! Hope the chaos settles down soon for you. It always seems like when I have extra stress I want to turn to the poor choices with food to try to calm me down. It never really works and then I am stressed that I used food like that - again. Hang in there. We are thinking of you.

this is the 2ed week of crumbless food in the office.

i will survive. I asked on another part of LCF, if anyone has used that 5 hr rush "thing" that is advertized on tv. is it safe? i was thinking of trying it for enhancing physical activity. What say ye? Enquiring trolls need to know. FF

Hey Vicki! Glad you had a good weekend with fiance. Your meals today sound good. I love your expression "I am going to fake it until I make it"

Hey FF, missed you over the weekend. Hope you get your home computer fixed soon. I know the 5 hour rush thing you are talking about. I have seen it for sale at the Dollar Store. I have never looked at the ingredients so don't know what gives you the rush.

Good morning! Nice to see people posting - I miss you all when you don't

Scale hasn't budged so still wishing for 290....Go to the doctor today for the last knee injection - thank goodness.

I know it's boring, but here's what I'm eating today:

Breakfat - Black coffe with sweetner
Lunch - 4 oz skinless chicken breast; one cup cucumber; 1 piece of melba toast; 1 apple
Dinner - 4 oz sirloin steak; 1 tomato; 1 piece of melba toast; 1 cup strawberries

As Porky Pig says, "That's all, folks!"

Morning all,
We are stuck in days of rain up here!!! So depressing!

Marilee & Vicki - good job on your food choices. It is good to have things planned out for the day! I have a scale too, and weighed out 4 oz of turkey for my lunchtime salad. I like to weigh the meat portions as I try to get a max of 70 gm protein daily. Whatever floats your boat..........

Glad you're back Tony, stay the course!

FF - careful about the 5 hr energy, it's just a lot of caffeine and you might get heart palps, and not come down when you want to....

OK, I bumped into the Biggest Loser gal yesterday in the break room around 3pm, she was wolfing down a Nutty Buddy bar...so I made a casual remark about how even a small weekend indiscretion makes the scale go up. So she comes clean and says, "OMG, I gained 6 lbs over the weekend, I know what you mean OMG!!".....so much for sustainability!!

And the beat goes on........

Marilee, your menu looks wonderful and not boring. I am eating hamburger meat and a little cheese today - now that's boring.

Nancy, this rain is really the pits isn't it! I thought I saw we might have a couple of 80 degree days next week with 50 something at night. Now that's what I like - warm days and not too warm nights. Does your company have the quickest gainer award - the Biggest Loser might win that one too.

as long as the roof doesn't leak, i am fine with the rain.

Sat & Sun are forecasted as no rain days. I still keep an old sheet and a large towel underneath the trouble spot, when i am not home, to minimize any leakage, should there be any. we postponed the 25th anniversary dinner till Sat. As I will no doubt, have an espresso with a shot of anisette, I will not try the 5 hr thingie till Sunday. they are doing a WW walkathon, so i will try it then. Not drinking anything with caffeine that day. If I cannot de-palpitize, i will head for the ER. I suppose it has different effects on different folks. How it will work with my Ferenghi DNA, only the Gods know. FF

hey guys, great to see you all!...

tammy, i feel for ya...stress and a hectic routine makes it hard to make good choices - why do good choices take so much more planning than bad ones?...the bad stuff is convenient and EVERYWHERE!...lol...

vicki, what i love about you is that no matter how many times you fall, you keep getting back up...you are as tenacious as anyone i know...good luck with today's menu - looks like a good one!...

marilee, another great menu, and good luck with the knee injection!...i'll be thinkin' about ya... ;-)

ff, good to have you back, and great job not smuggling crumby things into the office - i know you at least thought about it...lol...

nancy, that is a funny story about the biggest loser...i do feel a bit sad for her though - i've been where she is at way too many times...lol...i agree this rain SUCKS!...

abi, it was in the 80s and sunny in houston - and cool at night - what am i doing back here???...

bec, congrats on having 10 great days!...that is awesome...if you need to eat a little more today, so be it...just try to make your choices as healthy as possible...

i'm gonna drive myself nuts - i think i had too much salt yesterday and was back to 209 this morning...that's a 3 lb. increase...if i don't get back to 206 by friday, i am going to do something drastic (for me) like adding a "one plate only" rule at dinner...this see-saw has gotta stop...i am not gonna lose the same 6-8 lbs. any more...

other than that, everything is good...love you guys...

Luciano (not Pavarotti)came to take my computer to the shop-

it will be ready later today. But, as I cannot pay him till the weekend, he will bring it back later Sunday afternoon, when i get back from the walkathon (or sit-a-thon). I think tonite will be burgers. Feeling very carnivorous today. FF

the rest of the day went very well...hb egg and a few nuts and done eating by 7:30 p.m.

i am soooo committed to having a good day today...did my morning workout and about to do a shot of acv...

Tony, that baked stuffed lobster sounds delicious. I too am frustrated with losing the same 5 or 6 pounds a month. Trying to stay out of the nuts again!

Beth, yogurt and berries is something I want to add to my menu if I ever get to my goal. I love the thick Greek yogurt esp..

Where are LCShadows, Lizzie, Bec, Brittany and Jenny? We miss you all!

FF, glad Luciano is working on your computer!

Vicki, lol that clown punching bag was a blast from the past. I remember those so well.

Still doing well. Had a few off-plan bites yesterday, but didn't let it freak me out. It was macaroni and cheese of all things! I do so well around OP foods, but EVERYtime I made my guys mac n cheese with hot dogs it drives me mad! lol! So weird.

Um, didn't mean to post just yet...Anyway,
I looked at the scale for the first time in a while. It wasn't as low as I thought it would be. It did kind of mess with me, and tho I didn't recognize it at the time, that's what led to a few not so great choices. It is the weirdest thing. If dh will agree to it, I'm just going to have him bury it somewhere in the wasteland that is our basement. The number doesn't matter!! It's how you feel, how your clothes fit, how much bloodwork numbers have improved!!
I DO know that the muffin top oozing out the top of my jeans is getting smaller, and I don't have as much heartburn (or as much gas! ) and I'm certain that my cholesterol is going down. These things make me happy!!!

Abi...I figure that yogurt is probably slowing down my loss, but it does my digestion so much good, that I figure it's worth it.
I'm glad that you found a replacement for your "go-to" restaurant. We've been living in this area for 5 years now and have yet to find our cozy place.

FF...good luck with the walk-a-thon and the 5 hour energy drink. The good thing about walk-a-thons and the like is that they always have paramedics on hand with those chest shocker thingies. Please report back on your experience. (not with the heart shocking thingies, but the energy drink)

tony...acv is the BOMB! My husband has alot of stomach/heartburn issues and so I researched natural remedies and found that acv with "the mother" (strands of good bacteria - ew) like Braggs Organic acv can help. Wow, we still can't believe how much it helped him. As for weight loss, who knows?? The more I read about this stuff, the more healthy properties I find out about.

LIVEFREENH...what a funny (and sad story) about the Biggest Loser. I'm with Gibby...I'm so glad I live Low Carb!!! Any chance she'd come over to the dark side?

Have a great day y'all!

how about Dreamfields mac, Kbeth?

it is like having your cake and eating it too. I know u are doing Paleo, but as long as u are making it for the kids....1 or 2 off bites will be virtually zero carb. Besides, they won't notice the difference. I know I can't. FF

I'm here--been very busy!

I did great over the weekend and even resisted pizza at 1:00 a.m. after the party Saturday night. Then came home and didn't do so good with dinner Sunday--was exhausted and ordered chinese food--ended up having some bites of the non low carb stuff my husband ordered.

Then the next night I succumbed to popcorn (once I get carbs in my system I have a hard time stopping)...but yesterday went really well and I'm only up about a pound from last weeks low. I'm eating clean today and not going anywhere this weekend or having guests which will really help me stay on track.

About the wine drinking--I decided if I want to have some I can have 1 glass later at night(the hour before bed.) This way I won't eat too much at dinner and I won't have time/be awake to have a second glass. I don't think one glass will cause me problems, but I always want more than one and then it all goes downhill! I did this last night and it really worked well for me. We'll see, I might just skip it tonight...

abi, at 118 lbs. you might be closer to goal than you think!...

kbeth and jenny both posting within 8 minutes of each other - is this christmas?...lol...

kbeth, don't sweat the scale - i am going through something similar where the scale is not moving down, but i feel trimmer and more fit than at any time since the start of blitz I - i'm not sure how to deal with it...unfortunately, in my case, i am still 25 lbs from where i should be, so i will do something to get to 1derland by the end of june...

i think you are probably very close to, if not already at, a healthy weight and if you feel well, that really reinforces my belief...if i were you, i'd keep doing what you're doing and wouldn't get stressed over having a few bites of anything you really want...btw, i love mac and cheese and hot dogs too!

i've read the same thing about acv and take it when i think of it...i forget regularly though :-)

jenny, i like your plan with the wine...i find that i have to get creative like that in order to deal with certain foods, so i don't feel deprived...so many of us have been at this so consistently for so long now, that we know our demons - we know what we need to do, and we each have to devise plans we can live with that get us there...

like kbeth, i think you are pretty darn close to where you need to be weight/health-wise, so you are in the "tweaking zone", and can afford to try different things...i think you're doing great... :-)

p.s. when we both get to goal, we are gonna have to share a big bowl of popcorn... :-)

steeped in apostacy.

i have no excuse, reason. or pretext to offer, except to say that these things happen. I know that i will be back up above 300 at weigh-in today. Fortunately, I am already back in the groove, but i believe i am going to add more salad and veggies, but smaller portions of critter (if possible); at least for the warm weather, being out of the house period of the year. I cannot hang all my hopes on the possibility of acquiring a treadmill. I am feeling much better now, even after the scale god will have his say at high noon. FF
