Good morning! It's a gloomy, rainy day in Phoenix and I love it!

Busy day - getting my carpets cleaned tomorrow so I need to pick up the house and dust and polish the furniture.

Still on plan! So happy!

Have a wonderful day!

having a good weekend - don't feel like i'm losing, but not like i'm gaining either...

we ate at a mexican restaurant last night too - spent the night in portland. maine...i was not as well-behaved as tammy - i did have some chips and salsa, but ordered the grilled salmon rather than one of the other much more carby entrees...

had breakfast at a buffet this morning - stuck to the scrambled eggs and meats, but it was salty so i'm gonna have to drink lots today and tonight...

where is everybody?

Yea Tammy! Good job!

I love Mexican food! I don't know if I'd be as disciplined as you all are.

Still in my window for the plan! Whew!

Tony, that's one reason why I won't have a house clearning service - too much work.....FOR ME!

Well, time to get back to cleaning. TTYL

Going to a friends for supper. She is making meat loaf and wanted me to bring a faux potato dish. I am making Linda Sue's "Just Like Twice Baked Potatoes". I made it over the holidays and boy was it yummy.

had my birthday lunch....

i actually ate only 1/2 the steak. it was a bone-in shell steak. i will do a stir-fry with the other 1/2 tomorrow evening. i had a cup of chicken soup w/o noodles, i did not eat the diced carrots either. there was a tray of all sorts of good stuff, which incl radishes, celery and olives under crushed ice. the other stuff was not induction friendly. the appetizer was pickled herring in cream sauce (a few grams, there). a beautiful salad into which i threw in 5 small olives, totalling 10 alltogether, and cut up some celery. i also brought 1/2 oz of walnuts and Kens Caesar dressing. I left some salad over. I took home the broc and string beans, which will be part of the stir fry. I by-passed the low carb bakery. i wanted to go home and read my new opera magazines, and listen to my new cds(a B&N gift card from my earth brother's friends). Food is not the primary concern ALL the time, just more often than not. I am allowing 10 gram carbs for the meal. Those were the only carbs for the day. Tonight, i will have the decaf that i did not have yesterday, with 2 or 3 thin slices of muenster cheese. Let us pray that the new super DOES come and fix the sink. it is 6 weeks already. FF

Morning all, Happy Presidents Day!

Good job Marilee and Tammy!

Tammy & Tony, I love Mexican but can't get hubby any where near it. Congrats on everyone's smart food choices. And you too, FF, you are eating smartly! Temptation is everywhere but we gotta put on the blinkers to the carbcrap.

I love Fuddruckers' bergers! It's been ages on that too!

We went to Indian on Sat night, I did indulge just a tiny bit on the onion bhajis and a little bit of basmati rice under my veg vindaloo. (We NEVER go out for Indian, so we kind of caved a bit...) Otherwise, stuck with Chicken Tikka and a couple of papadums. Then we went to Planet Fitness yesterday am for a good calorie torch on the treadmill!!

It's a new week, so let's get 'er started!

tammy tammy tammy...YOU DID IT!!!...you set a goal and got there...that is sooooo awesome!!!...way to go, girl!

marilee, you are still the wo-man!...staying in that 2-lb. range takes so much discipline!...

tammy, sounds like you were a good girl at the indian restaurant...which one and where is it?...i've only ever eaten indian in nashville and and i loved it - been there twice and my friends always order for the whole table, so i have no idea what any of it is and could not order for myself...

had an interesting event yesterday...had to get fitted for a tux for a wedding i'm in in houston in may...had a woman with her hands all over my inseam - ahem - anyway, although the pants i am wearing are a relaxed fit 34, my actual waist measurement at my navel was a whopping 43...i was shocked...

i definitely have fat there but by doing 200 crunches 3-4 times per week for almost 11 months, i have pretty well-developed abs as well...but seeing that measurement, made me realize how much farther i have to go!...

my chest measurement was 48 and my hip measurement was 46 or 47, so according to the chest, waist, hip ratios i looked up, i am in the ideal range for health, but i must be huge-boned!...i've always been very broad-shouldered - my outside chest-arm measurement was 55!!!...and i'm a little under 5'9"...

i don't think i look as bad as those numbers sound, but maybe i do!...lol...

vicki, how was the meatloaf and potato thingy???

Tony, you are funny. ahem . . .
The mock potato casserole went over well and their meatloaf was good. Except, she inadvertently lowered the temp of the meatloaf while cooking that it was still rare in the middle when we were ready to eat. So, they had to finish cooking the meat loaf on the skillet and fried in slices.

Good morning!

Ha-Tony "ahem"......

I got good news on the scale - I lost 1.6 pounds yesterday to put me just .4 oz over my goal weight for maintenance. So I am way within my 2 pound window. Yea! I like this plan, because it teaches you a lot.

Yesterday for the day I ate a 7-bone roast, two spinach salads with onion, bacon, tomatoes and EVOO and vinegar dressing, two apples and the rest of the cheese (I don't throw away food). Oh, and for breakfast I had bacon and eggs. Whatever it was, it worked!!!!

I will be a little out of touch for the day and part of tomorrow. As mentioned the carpets are being cleaned today and they will be damp for 24-hours so no chair to sit no to type to my friends!

Have a wonderful day - I hope you have it off from work! I do. Yippee!

vicki, your fried meatloaf sounds like a hamburger :-)...i bet it was tasty though!...

marilee, i know you won't be reading this until maybe tomorrow but CONGRATULATIONS!!!...can't believe how disciplined you are!...you're an inspiration to me and you are helping me stay on track - thanks!

lizzie, remember, there's no benefit in looking backward - even at this past weekend...if you want a change, just start with your next meal, girl...YOU CAN DO THIS!...

hey farmgirl, we missed you!...great to see ya...thought you mighta gotten lost under a montana snow bank...WOW!!!...21.6 lbs in less than 7 weeks...holy cow!!!...you deserved some captain morgan, kid...good for you!

i hadn't weighed in since saturday morning as i was away on sunday, but the scale was kind today...i am unofficially down to 210 - hoping i can hold that til friday...i really want to be at 207-208 by next monday, so i can begin my march assault on 1derland...

april 7th will be the one year anniversary of me joining blitz I - i started a week after ff set it up, so i am setting that date as my drop-dead date to reach 1derland, although i'd like to hit it by the end of this blitz...

I"M GONNA GET THERE!!! :-)

Hi everybody!

Got the carpets done - the house smells so nice and clean. I wish you all could come over!

I was wrong...it only took about 4 hours to dry so I'm able to chat.

Harlansfarms-Congratulations! That's a lot of weight lost in a relatively short period of time. Good job!

Thanks, Tony, for the kind words....as I said before I have no choice anymore - it's now or never!

Congrats, Marilee and Harlan!

FF, I'm glad someone gave you the AVG link-- I was just thinking to myself that it is Ferenghi-priced, which is to say Free. ZoneAlarm has a free firewall, too, when you get your computer up and running. That keeps people from getting to your computer when you are online.

I am still plateau'd weight-wise, but doing very well with my exercise program. A trainer I talked to said that greatly upping your resistance training could lead to a stall for as much as 3 months, but hmmmm.... I don't know about that. We'll see.

where was ff today???...i don't remember giving him the day off :-)

hi shadows, a stall is still a victory, cuz it's not a gain... :-) congrats on the exercise program - you are obviously getting healthier!

i had a very low calorie day today...i'm hungry right now but i am going to get some sleep before i raid the fridge!...
b: hb egg
l: cheese stick
s: none
d: some raw veggies and small quantity of peanuts

i'll have to eat more tomorrow!

well. the computer problem is almost over....

i was in the yellow pages looking for the phone # of my fat-a$$ pants clothing store(they are having a going out of business sale), and my fingers by-passed clothing and got stuck in computers. How fortuitous! In a word, Luciano is bringing it back this evening, barring the unforeseen, thoroughly purged, and virally protected($150.00) I was not able to click anything, or do anything. I still believe that viruses are caused by people wanting to sell anti-virus protection. So, barring the unforeseen, i will be fully functional by bed-time the latest. Now for the really good news. My kitchen sink was finally fixed yesterday. I can bring out the big guns now. I am making my first pork roast on my Ronco this weekend. I will keep u posted on the results. Tonight I am making cheeseburgers. There are 4 pre-formed patties in the pack. I will be eating all 4. These are 80% burgers. 1/2 the weight will be gone by the time they get to medium cooked. ( i am saving up my points, so as not to exceed my daily total). FF

hey ff, and here i was believing that "lucky" was killed in a mob-related incident...never knew he switched careers and became a techie...good news on the sink - i hope your landlord had to wait twice as long on his rent as you had to wait on his sink...make sure you share your pork results with us :-)

well, i know you are all on the edge of your seat, wondering if i fell asleep before i raided the fridge and i am here to tell you............................................i passed out from lack of food and only just awoke to the aroma of smelling salts...yea!!!...

doesn't it always feel better the morning after?...i mean the morning after you forego food you thought about eating the night before?...i need some days of deprivation to make up for my all-too-casual approach to weigh-loss during this blitz...yesterday morning i was at 0 lbs. lost THIS YEAR!!!...

lizzie, if you're not ready, you're not ready...no reason to beat yourself up or get frustrated...i've been there so many times, i've lost count...i bet most of us here have been right where you are now...

my advice would be to just focus on making very small, healthful changes to your diet...maybe implement a new, easy-to-stick-to change every couple of weeks...don't even think about losing weight...

this way, you will be getting healthier and will probably not gain additional weight you will have to lose later when your brain does catch up with your heart... :-)

this is not easy - don't feel badly...i hope you will hang out in here with us and keep us posted on how you are doing...we love ya, kid...

good for u tony.

i am also partipating in the "night eating" challenge. Free time is the most difficult time, when u are stuck in the house. I am winning that battle on the whole. But every now and then I do have a setback...not for having tried to avoid it. About 11 PM, Sunday night, after trying all of my "tricks" to avoid it... i totalled a pack of low carb pitas which i was supposed to bring to the office (where they would be safe). The whole pack was 42 net carbs. I was so intent on saving the 1/2 steak for Monday, that it did not occur to me that it would be okay to eat the steak right then and there. I must say, that those low carb pitas were delicious right out of the package. I am surprised I had no bathroom issues, as there were 54 grams of fiber. I felt fine the next morning. ( i sorta wished that i would be digestively penalized for that episode. but i got off scot free). As of yesterday, i will continue with 5 gr or less through weigh-in day, Thursday. I WILL, i have decided, to inch up to greater quantities of salad/veggie, and (i hope)lesser quantities of critter. I think the caloric diminishment might speed things up in the weight loss dept. Well, we shall see. FF

Morning!

Sorry you missed dinner last night - "we" had 7-bone roast with a large spinach salad with tomatoes, onions, crumbled bacon with EVOO and red wine vinegar dressing. Yum! Grapefruit with Truvia for desert. It was devine!

Got on the scales this morning and dropped another 1.2 pounds - that's a total of 2.8 pounds in two days!!! My body sure loves beef - since, besides eggs, that's the only protein I've eaten in two days. I am now .8 BELOW my maintenance weight, but still within the 2 pound window. I don't think I ate enough yeserday - the 7-bone roast was more bone than meat. So, I'll add more today.

ff-glad you got your computer up and running! I'm like you - I'm highly suspicius of on-line "help" sites.

hey ff, i'm with ya on the night eating...that's why i do much better when i'm away from home - even when i eat a lot at restaurants, because i am not grazing all night...it's a weakness i am dealing with...

i tipped the scale at 208 today after my near starvation yesterday - so i'm down 4 lbs from last friday, but i'm sure some of that is fluid and i'll have a tough time sticking there until this week's weigh-in...

i'm trying to tack another low-cal day on top of yesterday's...had a hb egg for breakfast and will have a cheese stick for lunch and then a good dinner...i have six weeks before my one year anniversary of blitzing and as of today, i have 9 lbs. to lose...doable, but i can't afford a stall...

marilee, dinner sounds delicious - which one of us would have gotten the bones?... :-)

it was the hard drive. k'ching...k'ching ($$$)

so, i told him to bring it on Sat. (no installment or lay-a-way plan)Gotta get to the bank first. not even stressed about it. i instinctively, but not logically expected complications. i am at this precise moment enjoying a can of tuna with some mayo. tonight will be the cheeseburgers. on the weekend, i will be making "fried" chicken & "fried" fish in my Express...ready set go, and a pork roast on my Ronco, now that my sink is fixed. It's gonna be fun, and yummo. FF

I gorged today:

B-3 scrambled eggs cooked in butter
L-rotisserie chicken breast, leg and thigh with skin (); lettuce salad with tomatoes, onions, cucumbers, a really ripe avocado and ranch dressing. An apple for desert.
D-bacon wrapped stuffed chicken breast. The stuffing is green chili and pepper jack cheese - to die for!

Yummy!!!

I took today off from work so I've had a nice 4-day weekend.

great eating...fellow Blitzers.

I so loved my dinner. I did get very hungry after 10 pm (a scant 3 hours after the 4 cheeseburgers (pre-cooked weight was 1.37 lbs.)they were 85%...so there was a bit more for me this time. So..i had a small container of FAGE/ 6 gr of carbs.(incl the Fage...my carb total was 7 gr for the today.) It was like a dessert. it was still 1/2 frozen...so it took me a little more time to eat. Once I take my Magic Bullet out of the box..i will be able to make a sorbet from that...add some blueberries or strawberries(just a few)and toss it in the freezer to get it as thick as i like. I will keep u all posted on the Express..Redi..Set..Go. I need to find a spot for these toys. FF

Good morning!

I ate like a pig yesterday and I'm still 1.6 pounds below my maintenance weight, but within the 2 pound range.

I took a nice 4-day weekend so I'm back in the office today. Need to get to work - I'll check in later.
