Hi all....

Tony I'm so sorry for the loss of your friend. You really have done well in spite of all of the things you have had to go through in the last couple of weeks.

I'm on track for what I'm supposed to be....enjoying the freedom to eat fats and proteins.

Have a great day everybody!

Tony, so sorry to hear about your friend!!! You have had a rough few weeks and trust me we ALL understand what stress does to one's eating habits! Just know that we're here for you and we love you. I think you should consider it a victory that you did NOT return to your old WOE....so maybe it wasn't as good as it has been, but you still were better than the past and that's a step forward!!

Had a rough week myself, just one mean nasty person after the other this week....it's like something got in the water around here or something! It definitely affected my WOE a little bit...no where near like before, but not as good as it coulda / shoulda been.....I'm not gonna sweat it though, I figure I'm in this for the long haul....and like someone very kindly reminded me...it's all about progress NOT perfection!

Have a great day everyone, BE ENCOURAGED!!!!!

thanks guys, i really appreciate the support...

tammy, congrats on hanging in there during a rough week!

clanger, good to see ya, my friend!

nancy, sorry i didn't make it to the village square tonight...how was the cobb salad???...we'll definitely do it sometime - keep me posted when you might be there again...

had a pretty good day today...ordered chicken marsala at the restaurant - no pasta, so that was a minor victory ;-)

vicki, i don't know kevinpa, but i'm guessing he was a fellow LC-er and i'm sorry to hear about his loss...

On a different note, as of this morning, I am now in a NEW DECADE! Yay!

Man, I worked HARD to bust in to the new decade yesterday, went to gym in the am, did another 30 min on home treadmill in the pm plus.....

We danced our #@%#'s off last night at the Village, what an awesome dance band, (Groove Alliance, my alltime local fave) it must have been 8 guys, horns, gal singer.

Had spinach salad with grilled chicken on it, took half of it home. Hubby had the Cobb salad. YUM. Brought our own diet tonic so we had gin & tonics. Tony, I'll let you know next time we go. The crowd is like, "our age"..

Tony - chicken marsala is a great choice for the LC, and how fun to go into the North End. Tough to steer clear of Mike's or Modern Pastry..

SlimLizzie, thanks for the recipe, I will try sometime oh boy!!

OK, everyone - 'all have a pleasant Sunday and I hope you all have a better week! Can't wait to hear about FF's birthday dinner!

Hope everyone had a great weekend. Scales up this morning from eating my baked ham dinner yesterday, all the sodium, but it was so worth it.

Tony ss to hear about the loss of your friend. Take care.

Lizzie those Black Bean Brownies sound yummy. I wonder I could substatute white chips for the chocolate. Kinda of like Blondes. What do you think?

Live_Free - Good job! New decade is awesome!

Tony - I LOVE chicken marsala - one of my favorite (of many ) italian dishes.

I'm within the 2 pound range for maintenance - so happy!!!!!

I've been craving pizza so I went to the grocery store and bought a supreme and am going to bake it, scrape off the toppings and feed the crust to the birds!!! Can't wait. I know there is a LC recipe for pizza, but that's just too much work. Being single, I don't bake so I'm not going to start now!

Vicki-when you come to visit, you can teach me how to make oopsies! I'd like to learn how to make those.

Have a great Sunday everybody!

Hey everyone! Sorry I haven't been posting. I've been pretty ill. I went to see my doctor about all the swelling I've been experiencing and he's checking my kidneys. I haven't gotten the result yet but I guess no news is good news. I'm just trying to make it through each day the best that I can. Hope that you all are doing well!

Hey everyone! Well another busy day at work but NO mean people today!!

I have my weekly weigh tomorrow (i actually do weigh every day to keep me focused and honest, but really only record once per week) I'm hoping to be down some more and break this standstill I've been at for the past two weeks!

I hope everyone is well and ready for a super great week!!!! And don't forget Valentines day!!

Hey, artemis19, hope you're feeling a little better. Hang in there .

Hope everybody had a good weekend. I overate on Sunday - I've no idea why. I just seemed to graze on cheese, nuts and meat all day and then had red wine in the evening . I wasn't hungry - it was just mindless eating for the sake of it.

I feel really bloated this morning - not felt this bad for a looooong time. That'll teach me! Really looking forward to getting back on track today. Am not going to be overly strict or restrictive - just get back to normal eating.

FF, how was your birthday meal?

Have a great Monday, fellow Blitzers!

tammy, happy the meanies left you alone!... :-)

clanger, i think it's really healthy to 'own up" to our mistakes...i think it's a necessary part of changing our behavior...i'm struggling with the same thing you experienced yesterday: eating poorly, feeling horrible, etc - but my problem the past couple of weeks has been continuing to do it despite feeling poorly...

when i say eating poorly, i don't mean "off the reservation" poorly, but just not on-plan...i am trying to figure out why i do great all day and then slip up later at night...once again, sabotage behavior...it is not at all about the food - i'm convinced of that...and i display a strong will at various times all day and night...

i know i will fix this - in fact, this is the week i have to get serious or wonderland won't even be a possibility by the end of the blitz,,,but i know what is happening now is in large part how i got fat in the first place...just trying to figure it out...

the good news: on saturday, my siblings couldn't believe how much weight i've lost...my brother and one of my sisters grabbed my belly saying, wow, do you have a six-pack?...my brother, who used to tease me about my weight, acknowledged i now am more fit than he is...

i have to say it all felt good!

Congratulations, Tony! I can't wait for my family to say something like that to me! It would be a nice change

Hang in there, Clanger! It's a marathon, not a sprint. I know you know that, but just a reminder.....

I weighed this morning - still in my 2 pound maintenance range - WHEW!

thanks, tammy and congrats on your anniversary!...24 years is a LONG time!...and yeah, well, i have done pretty well most of the last 10 months, but i am at 213 today which is 7 pounds above my low in january (6 lbs. above my official weigh-in low), so i am drawing a line in the sand at 213... no higher!...i'm angry at myself that the next 6-7 lbs. i lose, i will be losing AGAIN...

well, nothing to do, except hit it hard this week...would love to be back to 210 by friday...keep your fingers crossed!

marilee, you are gonna be on a tv ad for your plan pretty soon...you are doing so well!...

that's okay, vicki...you still have lost 5 lbs. - take that victory and build on it...start new at your next snack/meal...YOU CAN DO THIS - you've proven it!...

you probably lost too much too fast and some may have been fluid...just cut down on salt and drink as much as possible, eat sensibly and you'll be fine...trust me, kid... :-)

Tony-there are two kinds of peanut butter. One has chocolate on the outside and creamy peanut butter filling - I'm not big on those. The other, which ties for #1 for me is the peanut butter sandwich ones. I can't remember the name of them, either. They used to be called Savannah's but they changed them name to dosey do's or something like that. I love them!!!!!!

I'm not a big peanut or peanut butter fan (thank God!), but I love peanut butter cookies.
