Good morning everyone! Still dark outside - nice and peaceful!

Good news - I lost 1.4 pounds and I am out of double digits.

Not much to report yet - the day is young.

I also am an egg lover. When I am on maintenance with HCG, I'll be able to have all the eggs I want. Two or three in the morning scrambled or fried in butter - YUM YUM!!!! Can't wait.

Well, best get busy. With all of the knee pain I've had this past week, my house didn't get any attention and it is a disaster.

I'll check in later - have a great day!

Congrats Gibby, I think. What do you mean you are out of the double digits? I didn't notice you changed your pic. I was still looking for the FB pic.

I started Fast Track Detox Diet FTDD by Ann Louise Gittleman I did this back in July and dropped wt. Back at it again. Unfortunately 15 lbs heavier this time.

i got that, marilee...vicki is a little slow this morning... just teasing vicki!
that is awesome news by the way...you are the wo-man!!

thanks nancy and tammy - i was pretty psyched by the 207 - i think i'm gonna do an "egg-fast" one day next week to try to see if i can break the stall i've been in and gain some momentum to start month 2 of the blitz...

ate a little more than usual yesterday...once i started eating after my 36-hour fast, i got hungry...but i grazed on good stuff during the day and ate on plan last night, so i don't think i did any harm...

i'll be eating light during the day today, and then going to the outback steakhouse for dinner tonight for one of my son's birthdays...think i'll get the salmon, no spices...i love the ribeye, but when i eat too much red meat these days i feel heavier, so i'm sticking mostly with chicken and fish...

sunday, my sons and i are going to see "127 hours", so my biggest challenge will be avoiding the popcorn...

Tony, yippee! So glad to hear you succeeded, now go eat SOMETHING! I already did a little chugalugging last night so we're good.

Misty, your avi with your furbabies, so sweet. They match nicely!

Good to hear of everyone's successes, big and small.

Marilee, I know what you mean about cleaning house. How is it that every Saturday morning when the sun shines in through the windows, that my house looks like a bomb went off? I have a lot of upkeep to do today.

But I will get to Planet Fitness later!

Happy Saturday everyone, be good to yourself!

Good Luck with the popcorn Tony--you know I have a problem with that too... Just breathe through your mouth (to avoid smelling it!)

I'm down another pound today for 28lbs. I'm really on a roll. I'm hoping to make 35 down by the time of my trip and it looks like I'm on track so far.

jenny, that is unbelievable!!!...i am soooo psyched for you...it's so cool to have witnessed what you have achieved over all these months...it definitely inspires me, cuz we have paralleled each other's ups and downs so closely - until you started leaving me in the dust last september... btw, thanks for the popcorn advice - i'll try that :-)

nancy, thanks for chugalugging for me last night - i was trying to behave!...which is never easy for me

having a great day so far:

I think that egg fast thing sounds like a good idea! I think I might just try that the last couple of days of January and see if I can get off my plateau. I am looking forward to hearing how much everyone lost this month.

well, i surprised myself a bit tonight at the outback...faced with a menu full of high calorie things i love, i opted for the salmon (lite style - less than 500 calories)...had a couple of chicken wings and a salad and splurged with some bleu cheese dressing...

that was over 4 hours ago, and i'm a bit hungry now, but rather than hitting the kitchen this late, i'm gonna hit the hay and get some sleep...

hope everyone had a good day...looking forward to marilee's tally of our total weight loss on monday...sorry i didn't contribute more, but it's looking like i will tally 3 lbs. total for the month...i'll make it official on monday...

don't let the bedbugs bite! :-)

Good morning! It's not quite 4AM - the coyotes woke me up earlier having a gab fest near my house and I had trouble going back to sleep Nap time later today

Well, I'm down .2 pounds - I'll take anything. I figure the lighter I get the less the knee pain

Tony, that was an awesome job you did at the restaurant. But, we are so fortunate with low carb because we can have so many wonderful things to eat. I can't wait until I am back on that kind of plan - 12 DAYS TO BACON!

Having a new chair delivered today for the livingroom so I moved my big old recliner I sleep in into the den. It wasn't that heavy - the back slides out so it becomes two parts. It was just cumbersome.

I'll check in later. Time for coffee

Woot, well done kbeth !

And well done tony8 on the restraint you showed at the Restaurant!

No idea how much I've lost this month (or not!) I'm joining a new gym end Feb/early March so that's the next time I'll get weighed, so will add mine to the total then. Am hoping to be 'overweight' by then, but may just be on the cusp of overweight and obese still.

Not happy with myself as I ate peanuts today - I have portion control issues with peanuts - so am berating myself for being an idiot ! On the other hand, I've been to the gym twice this weekend, so it's not all bad.

Glad that everybody is doing so well !

that's okay, lizzie, it's hard to stay strong when you're not feeling strong...you can be back on plan as soon as your next snack or meal...good luck and feel better soon!

kbeth, i'm so proud of you!...5 lbs. is awesome!...great first month of the blitz, kid...

clanger, there are a lot worse things than peanuts - don't beat yourself up...maybe if you allow yourself a handful when you really crave them, you'd have better luck controlling portions...that's what i find with my transgressions...i get into trouble when i look at foods as forbidden and then once i cave in a little, i figure i may as well indulge all the way...now i look at food a bit differently and allow myself whatever i really want in small doses and only when i REALLY want it...you're doing great and its a major accomplishment to keep up the exercise...very healthy change, girl!

marilee, don't hurt yourself moving furniture...you don't need a strained back to go along with that knee :-)

off to a good start today...had a shot of avc and of course a hb egg for breakfast...it will be hard to avoid the popcorn this afternoon, but i don't need the salt or the carbs...

next sunday i'll be off to nashville to write - i usually lose a little weight while i am there and if it happens, it couldn't come at a better time!

It isn't the end of the month yet - you might lose another pound. Give me your official total on Tuesday, 2/1. That's when ff weighs and we want to include him.

Well I'm happy to report that I'm down a total of 3 lbs this month, now I'm hoping it sticks for Marilee's total for tomorrow.

clanger if peanuts was the worse thing you ate, I say not bad at all. Could of been high carb junk. I love nuts but bathroom issues.

lizzie hope your feeling better today, chug down some broth, it always helps.

Nancy got to match my animals to the outfits I buy so the hair doesn't show LOL

Congrats you losers.

Lizzy, I hope you get to feeling better.

Gibby, coyotes?? What the hey, do you think I will awaken to that in March? I missed a mild earthquake when I was in CA many years ago.

I am at fiance's and his scale is out of commission (no battery, besides it doesn't weigh the same as mine) so, I haven't a clue how my current plan is going.

I have been listening to an Overeater's Anonymous DVD of a speaker discussing abstinence. I really need to try 301: 3 meals a day with nothing in between one day at a time. Today is my first day and I can't stop thinking of food and what I am going to have when it is meal time again. Now to get over the obsession . . . . .

Did you have to avert your eyes at any point (from the screen, not the popcorn ?). I understand there's a particular scene which isn't for the squeamish! Was the film good?

greetings Blitz IV HEWMONS

nothing new to report. all is as was before the weekend began. tomorrow is more precipitation: snow/freezing rain/ whatever. Also, we may get it next weekend too. It prevents me from getting anywhere I need to be. Especially the bank. I truly love the cold temps, and the snow...but NYC has no real infrastructure anymore. No snow is getting shoveled where i am, and where i have to be. It will have to melt on its own. It will, no doubt be there still in July. Next Sat, if there is no blizzard hindering, the cable guy (not Larry)is coming to do his thing,. so, OPTIMISTICALLY, after the Metopera Broadcast of Feb 5, i should be officially ONLINE at home. Still kind of intimidating, to look at it. I guess i will have to get used to it. I feel so bad, Gibby, about your knee pain. What are you doing for it? Congrats on the 1.4 lbs. Every little bit helps. Tony, hope your son has a great birthday! I am sure u will have a great time at the OUTBACK. Talk to y'all later. FF

hey guys!

great to see you, ff - we miss you on the weekends, but not for long!

clanger, i thought the movie was very good...it wasn't for the squeamish, but wasn't as bad as i thought it would be - it was well done...and although i didn't buy my own bag of popcorn, my hand did find its way into my son's bag several times i just can't be around it...like you and peanuts!

other than that, had a good day - broiled chicken breast for dinner...overall, i'd give myself a solid "B-" for the weekend...

hi vicki, let us know how the 301 works out!

misty, congrats on a big loss (that still sounds funny when i say it!)...

marilee, we hear coyotes in the woods behind our house too...drives our golden retriever nuts...

i was less than accurate when i said that all was as is.

i took a calculated risk on Fri & Sat, to see if i could influence the scale. Just as NASA uses the Sun and Jupiter to speed up our unmanned satellites, i had a 2 day deliberate (not based on emotion)carbfest. Then I put on the breaks. I am doing as close to zero carb as possible until Thurs weigh-in. Due to the weather, and the flu, there was no WW meeting at work last Thursday. I was also curious to see if i would get the same enjoyment from these highly starchy eats, as in the past. The answer is YES, by the Gods, YES. (my fave was the 4 baked potatoes which i kept in the oven at 450 for over 2 hours. Could u not hear the sound they made when i slit them open to put in a nice hefty dollop of sour cream on each? The skin was so crisp!!!) However, I have no desire to repeat the experiment anytime soon. I DID prove to myself that i CAN have a RECREATIONAL hiatus, if i so chose, and recuperate. If i did do it as a RECREATIONAL event, i would, of course limit it to one meal. Of course, come Thursday's weigh-in, I will accept what comes. But for once, I do hope i was successful. FF

Good morning!

Nice to hear from you ff. Regarding my knee, thank you for your kind thoughts. In addition to the cortisone shot I am taking Advil, using an icepack and icy/hot rub or Ben Gay. So far it's been ok.

Down another 1.4 for a total of 23.6 this month.

FF doesn't weigh in until Thursday. How about everybody gets me their totals TOMORROW MORNING - after all today is the last day of the month and more weight may be lost I'll then do a total and then update it on Thursday when we hear from ff. Is everyone ok with that?

I need to run - I'll talk to you all later.

I was up today a lb so I guess I will call it 10lbs for the month. Not to bad, unfortunately some of those were ones I had gained over Christmas.

Not sure what I'm going eat today, I ususally try to plan things out--for my family too, but my mind is kind of a blank on food recently...

Wow! Good job everybody! I did the egg fast yesterday and got off the 2 lbs of fluid I was holding. So I'm doing the egg fast again today and hopefully I can lose a bit more and give you the monthly total tomorrow. I think I will start doing the egg fast maybe one day a week or so because it is effective...but it does give me a headache...probably from detox or something.

glad it is working for you Artemis 19.

although i like eggs, i am not sure , i can do nothing but eggs for days at a time. I am doing a vlc sun-thurs 12:00 noon (weigh-in) see my post above. no salad or veggie, or low carb bread, or low carb hot choc. till Thurs eve. I have no idea if what i did/am doing will make a difference. But, if nec. i will carry it through till the following Thurs. But after that, i wil start raising the carbs back gradually till i reach 20-25 grams. FF
