Morning!
Sorry Jenn!

Are you with us on the gift exchange?

Becky - I'm holding on to my own sanity for my mother.
Check with Kelly - I think she still has fun with her mom!

DS18 doesn't have school today, so I'm getting a later start.
Off to spin class at 9:15, but first a walk!

BBL!

I didn't get here yesterday. Between the early morning race and the celebration dinner for DHs 10K program and a trip to grocery, folding a ton of laundry and a short nap the day was done. Plus DH was busy on the computer making certificates and checking everyone coming to dinner's race time so he could announce it when they got their certificate and medal.

It was a fun day.I was whipped and in bed early. The time change is taking some adjusting.

I also found being in charge of bag check and being on my feet for 4 hours was not good for my back. I have taken 4 days off of running and today is day 5. I am hopeful for tomorrow.

I just PMed Cindy my address. Can we compile addresses, phone numbers, emails, birthdays and anniversaries all in one place? I put all mine in my PM.

So as for my likes and dislikes. I don't wear post earrings or anything too dangly. It is hoops for me. I like bracelets. Don't wear them much but will. I love to read. Love Barnes and Noble. Like tea but not a daily tea drinker and mostly have it if it is a cold day or I am out. I always lose my gloves and mittens. Can always use a new pair.

My niece makes pretty jewelry. I have to check out her stuff because what I have seen is really nice. I just have to check out prices.

Becky, what surgery are you having?? I some how missed this fact.

My DH is having surgery to straighten horribly deviated septum in January. He won't be able to run for three weeks after. Not too bad.

MK, it is way warmer there then here. We are having a cold streak on the east coast. I think it is in the 30s right now and may get to 50.

Kaye, extra hours will be hard with your early mornings. Extra money will help at the holidays.

Kelly, I bet the boys wanted to be in your husband's new car but how many kids can fit in a Jag??

Jenn, sounds like a hectic morning. I am not sure how you got here at all.

Connie please say hi to Barb and tell her to drop by. I do see her FB posts so that is good.

I need to go eat breakfast. I got on the computer first and time is flying. Need to make food for work. If it is like Saturday I never got to eat. I did make up for it having ribs with DH after. It is 12 for me today so I better get a break. 8 hours I can manage but I think my mind doesn't do as well without a break. Hard to stay focuses and problem solve effectively. When I do 12 they have to give me a break or I won't get through the day. It is Monday and the place has been crazy every day so .... Just want to know about the other job. Not sure when her other interviews were to be but I am thinking I should hear soon because she wants someone in before the other person leaves in early December.

I better go eat or I will not have time.

Morning-

I'm in if I'm not too late.

Debbie, the jag is a full size sedan type car, so its actually considerably bigger than my little convertible (which is what I had) It does have a few minor things that DH will want fixed/changed (although none are mechanical) At the top of the list is removing the window tint that is too dark to be legal here. He's had enough tickets and would rather not get one for something like that.

MK, mom relationships are always complicated. I do usually have fun with mine, but puting 2,000 miles between us significantly improved our relationship.

Cindy, WOW, new student orientations for spring already.

Jenn,

BBL to chat about the weekend, good news is I'm nearing completion of my Christmas shopping list (at least the what to buy in my head part of the list anyway)
And, found adorable stuff marked way down at the Juicy Couture store for my little neice (that DH and I love to spoil rotten with clothes, shoes, purses, jewelry... Did I mention she's only 9, LOL)

Deb, the surgery is to correct the cough/sneeze/laugh and lead syndrom. I use to get in SO much trouble as a kid for peeing when I laughed, just gotten worse through the years. The heart tersts (turned out normal_ was cuz of that trouble I was telling u about that I thought was from being off my thyroid meds. That's what it was but nice to have a clean bill of health with my heart.

Oops, gotta run!

Great day today!!

Walked this morning (2.5 miles) , then spin class (about 17 miles), home, shopping with DS18, grocery store, home, lunch, cleared out the front garden (cut down, pulled up and raked for 90 minutes) then walked another 2.5 miles.

I feel great!

I think we're sending you this weather soon.
We're supposed to have it all week.

Kelly - 2,000 miles would definitely make my relationship with my mom better too!

Becky - I can't wait to hear about the surgery.
I could use it too!

How does the gift exchange work? One person or all? Spill the details!

Thanks for the hugs! The time changes always throw me for a loop, not matter which direction!

Kids were off today...they spent the night at Grandma's last night. I had to do my morning work this morning and then went and picked them up. MIL left for work when we left. We realized something was left in her car so we went to the preschool where she works to get it. Went in and said hello to some old teachers and then they ran/played in the gym for a bit. Said good bye to Grandma and then we went to Chick fil A for a special treat lunch. Then we went to the grocery store. What a day!

I'm pooped! Hope I can stay awake for Castle tonight!

Debbie-I was shocked at the weather this morning. When I looked last week, this week was supposed to be nice, near 70!

Jenn, it doesn't matter as long as you get me cool things. lol.

Cindy, I pm'd you my address, will pm you the other things. Did you say anniversary? That's this Thursday, November 11, but I will put it in the pm. it's our 32nd one!

Echo and carotid are normal, THANK GOD. But now we have another hurdle to cross and if you all will say prayers, I would DEEPLY appreciate it. Little Lyssie is being tested for APD (Auditory Processor Development) and cognitive problems. Kim will get a questionaire from Childrens in Dayton and once they get it back, they'll give her an appt with a Development Pediatrician. I'm gonna google it as soon as I get off of here but I wanted to check in first and let you all know about the test. Debbie, that's why Kim was saying she was worried about Lyssie and asking for prayers. She's such a sweetheart, I hate to think she might have problems in school. I honestly think Brad might have some problems like that, and Kim learned early on that flash cards was the only way she could learn (that seems to be something that helps people with this disorder, Kim figured this out on her own though, thank God. She's hitting this HARD, she doesn't want Alyssa to fall further behind in preschool). The thing is, she is smart as a whip, but from what I understand, things go into the brain, but the brain has trouble processing things that went in. She can't handle many directions, you have to break them down for her. Needless to say, you all know my granddaughters are the apple of my eye and I hate to think of her having problems.... then there's Gracie to watch. I will keep you all posted on it. For the shorties on FB, you will see a post from Kim asking for prayers for Alyssa, that's what it's about. She didn't say what it was, just that she was worried and asking for prayers.

Cindy, I'm gonna pm you right now.

nite girls, John just got home and got me out of my misery of the Steelers beating my Bengals! He took over his "no football" tv!

Oh my!
We had sunny and 70+ degrees yesterday! Expected again today and tomorrow!
I really thought with the snow flurries and 20* mornings last week, we were done with any warm weather for a long time...
Had been so busy I didn't look at the weather forecast beyond that day..
Such a boost to your mood! Got a garden cleaned out, the patio straightened up and a bunch of stuff put away in the shed.
Hope to get more done today with another warm one predicted.

MK, another beauty out there today...quick slacking off and DO SOMETHING!

Becky, good Lyss is getting the tests done early, will help a lot in her school career. ADHD me, and daughter, are 'visual learners' and have trouble processing/retaining information when just heard, we have to 'see' it to store it. Just tell me something or say a list of instructions...nope, gone. See it written down/visually....yep, got it. It's just a matter of knowing you process info differently, accept it and make it work for you. Like in school, I needed the teacher to write it on the board or me write it down in notes so I could 'see' it for it to stick. Our types learn to have a good memory fast to make up for what we can't retain by hearing it.
Hugs and prayers to you for your upcoming surgery...very happy your other tests so far have had great results! (((hugs)))

Running out of time now...so hellos and hugs to Cindy, Deb, Kelly, Jenn as well as any MIA Shorties that need to check in....

Have a great Tuesday and see you later today...

I will compile the list of addy's, etc and email out to everyone.

Jenn; I don't think I have an email for you, do I? PM it to me!

Kelly - are you in? I don't think I have info from you yet.

I know some of us have mentioned likes and dislikes....

MK - lactose intolerant, only decaf.
Becky - loves coffee and anything lemon
Debbie - never changes her earrings
Me - no flavored coffee, likes bigger, dangly earrings.

Kaye and Kelly - you didn't mention anything.

Jenn - give some hints!

So......I will compile and send everyone info. If DD draws; I can just email the names - or is it a secret?

Busy day at work yesterday, another one today.
I am tired already and it's only Tuesday!

Debbie: I never wear scented lotions or creams because I have sensitive skin. I do love good hand creams because my hands are dry from lots of washing at work and then the winter makes it worse.
I not only don't change my earrings. I rarely change any of my jewelry. I wear my watch and running mantra bracelet. It comes from a site called Endorphin warriors. It is a leather strap and not so pretty but the metal part says unbreakable and it is my mantra when I do the hard runs.
I love chocolate just not mocha. Hot cocoa is yummy and so is tea. I love the fruit flavored teas like orange, apple and my favorite is honey gingsing I get at Panerra.
I love to read. I tend to fall asleep reading or sit in front of the computer too much so haven't read anything other then running magazines since I went to Florida for the wedding. I am out of books right now. Loved The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and need to get the next book in the series. Want my husband to buy me a Kindle but haven't told him that.

Speaking of husband's I am off to buy his birthday gift. It is Sunday the 14th. I am going to Brooks Brothers to see if I can get him a nice shirt and sweater. It won't be cheap but he will look nice for work. He wears a lot of shirts and sweaters this time of year unless he needs to be in a suit that day.

Work was long yesterday. I didn't go to sleep till 1:30. I need to get out the door. I was hoping I could switch my sheets the drier before I left though. A good excuse to be on the net a bit longer.

So, since I just briefly posted the last few days-

We had a busy weekend, but not in a scheduled have to be here at a certain time kinda way.
Friday I went up to the last regular season game with the HS boys and DH took the afternoon off to get DS13 from school.
(they lost to a very very good team that has members of the Jr national team as players in a respectably close game, DS17 played JV, played well and they won their game )

Saturday, we slept in, stayed in our jammies for quite a while (DS17 and friends didn't seem to mind that I cooked breakfast for them after practice in my jammies )
DS13 had a HUGE blow-out Bar Mitzvah to attend (that started in the afternoon and the party bus got them back around 10:30) DH and I did some Christmas shopping (and I got a new coat, since I didn't really have one and we will visit family before the winter is over)
From there, we had dinner with friends (lobster tail, broccoli with hollandaise, and caesar salad, yummy!)
Sunday, we had lunch at the farmers market, did a little more shopping (target and that sort of shopping, not the fun kind) and then some friends from Indiana were in town for all of about 2 hours on their way back home. We met them for dinner and then dropped them back at the airport for their flight. It had been more than 5 years since we had gotten together, so it was fun to see them.

Hi Debbie! I love my kindle! If you get one I'll send you the website that my cover came from. They are all handstitched leather and unique. You may or may not like them, but everyone comments on mine, and they weren't that much more than the ones you see listed on the Amazon website.

MK, the initial move strained my relationship with my mom, but time and distance and some other family stuff moved me to the "child that has it together" LOL

Jenn, We made progress this morning and no one was late for school here.

Kaye, so that's where our weather went (it was rainy and chilly all day yesterday)

Becky, Glad to hear your mom's tests were all okay.

Cindy, do you have Thurs. off?

Oh, and what I like-
(pretty much everything)
I do have pierced ears and change my ear rings, I wear dangles and hoops mostly.
Love scented candles, lotions, hand creams, chocolate (esp. dark), coffees, teas...
