I caved! I ate alittle less than 20 carbs. I didn't make my dd give me the cappuccino though. THAT'S an accomplishment right there! I really was wanting it this am, but I made it. Tomorrow I'll strive for the 0 carbs again. I'm going to keep trying until I make it.

I don't weigh it, but eyeball it and am eating a bit less than what I used too. Following this type of plan gives the 40/30/30 ratio. 40% carbs (in the form of the frts and veggies), 30% protein and 30% fat.

She has written many books including Beyond Pritikin and Fat Flush Plan among others. I am on day 6 and will "fast" on Thursday with a cranberry drink made with unsweetenend cranberry juice diluted in water with cinnamon, cloves and other spices added to it. This helps with the detox.

I weighed on my scale this morning and was 170!!! Down about 12 lbs since being back from vacation last Wednesday. I will update my stats with the wt I am at TOPS tonight.
WTG!!! 12 pounds in a week...

So tell me do you eat fruits and veggies together with meat..or do you eat them separately what kind of fat do you use..if you don't mind I would like to see a days menu ..

Looks like everyone is doing good. I'm down a few ounces so that ok for me as long as it keeps moving down. It's been so humid here and I tend to bloat, so I know I'm rataining water. My rings are all tight and thats the first sign for me.

Just popping in to say hi and cheer everyone on. You guys are doing great.

Vicki, I've done the Fat Flush fast day for a liver detox. It was great. I'm going to order the book you have. I started taking the supplements that she recommends like milk thisle and choline and the Omegas and my liver enzymes which were high are now in normal range. I was actually denied health insurance for 2 things one of which was elevated liver enzymes. Actually they cannot deny anyone but they do put the premium up 100%.

I'm doing so so on GS. My weight is stable but I am on again off again. And when I go off I sabbatoge the work I did while on. It is so restrictive that I can NEVER have anything off the plan and so it goes again that I will probably go off officially but stick close to the plan.

Hi all, just checking in. I've almost lost the 7 pounds I gained while being ill. Only 1 to got!

Good job on the fast and loss Vicki!

Linda, it's just my opinion but any eating plan that is so restrictive that it can't be stayed on, isn't going to work and will just create frustration. Good luck modifying it so you can live with you and have success.

Have a great weekend everyone - stay cool.

Thanks

I like how Mark Sissin, author of The Primal Blueprint uses the 80% Rule: "If you are someone who has a difficult time transitioning to a new habit, call to mind the spirit of the 80% Rule and do your best. Take it step by step and relieve yourself of pressure so you can adapt more comfortably. Be sure that your indulgences are sensible. Over time, you will naturally and comfortably become more compliant, particularly with the restricton and elimination of grains and processed carbohydrates from your diet".

Have a great weekend everyone - stay cool.
I hope my responses above show up

I'm starting too as soon as my book arrives. I have the Fat Flush food book so I know the foods but nt the quanity. I've done the liver detox fast with the miracle juice so I know how to make that.
I take this product called Lean Out and it is sold in Netrition. It has a combination of a lot of the supplements recommended in the Fat Flush book and it is one that Wendy Chant had me taking when I was doing her program. Here's the link to it in netrition

I am constipated today, just what you wanted to hear. The thing is, it is surprising due to the amount of water I am drinking (half your body wt in ounces) and the fruits and veggies I am eating, go figure. I searched the forum thread and they recommend adding 400 mg of magnesium up to a max of 1200 mg until relief. I better head to Walgreens.

WOW..that is hard to believe...especially with all the water and juice..are you doing the 3day sequel ?

I won't be able to start my fast track until next week..but I really want to try it. How did you feel other than the constipation? I am picking up the fat flush tomorrow is it very different from the fast track?

Yes, today is the last day of the 3 day sequel. I haven't been 100% on track with it, but darn close. My CSA bag from Friday included Iowa sweet corn again. So, we had that last night (2 ears w minimal butter).

The recommendation for constipation is 400 mg of magnesium oxide and no more than 1200 mg per day until relief. It helps relax the bowels. Makes sense, since my youngest son has had constipation on and off, he has been told to take a bottle of mag citrate for relief.

I waited until I knew I would have stretch of 11 days at home between vacations too Lizzie.

Hi guys, boy I hate to admit that I have been doing some emotional eating today. Roger and I have been seriously arguing. My plan for tomorrow is to do a M/E day tomorrow and drink lots of water. I ordered the fast track detox and already have the ingredients for the juice fast day. Boy, I'm so disgusted with myself. I talk a good talk but don't always walk the walk in more areas than my food.

I am going to do a sort of Prequel to the Prequel..eating lighter with the Crucifers, leafy greens and citrus. Fiber fruits and light on the meat I think fish will be good.
We have a reunion to go to next Sat. and who knows what they will have to eat..I figure I can give it a go till then and kind of ease into the real Prequel..I will probley start next Monday..fingers crossed..

Did you get organic meats, butter ect.?

Lizzie, I too, am getting prepared and have an event to go to on Saturday. I plan to have a good week.

I have my food all prepared and am drinking plenty of water and will teach Spinning tonight and take yoga. Then it will be pretty much home, eat dinner and off to bed.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

I had some organic chickens and hamburger already, but ate regular too. Butter, no it isn't allowed on this plan that I am aware of. Regardless, I haven't broken down and bought organic butter anyways.

Tammy, good job on not giving up. Hopefully you will have a loss soon. I'm reminded of a phrase used in the weight loss program I was on which is don't quit 5 minutes before the miracle.

I'm having a really good day with my food. I did cardio with a friend then took a bodypump class followed by a half hour abs class and then I taught a Silver Sneakers class. My emotional and mental state is greatly improved. Now, if I can just get the scale moving again. I got my fast track detox bood and I'm eating the liver supporting foods and then have a birthday dinner to attend on Saturday. It will be a steak dinner but I do plan to have a glass or two of wine. I plan to do the Miracle juice fast next Thursday. I've done it before and it went very well.

Hope everyone is having a good day.

Denmw, quiting isn't an option for me. I've been at this for so long I'm use to "dieting". I just keep on trying new things to get these pounds to drop.

I'm stuck bewteen 179-183 lbs. I bounce around those numbers. Idk what I need to do. I must be missing something.... Idk.....

I'm still here. I went on an unexpected 10 day vacation. And did't do very well on plan. After doing go so good I'm up to 139.9. So now I've learned another hard lesson and I'm back on induction or trying very hard. I can't figure out why I'm finding it so hard to stay on plan this time. Especially when I know how good I feel when I'm losing.

Misty, that weight will come off quickly if you get right back on track. I,too, am having much difficulty staying on plan. I don't know what is going on with me. If I weren't doing so much exercise I'd be gaining a LOT of weight. As it is even with all the exercise, I lose and regain the same 5 lb.
Helpppppppppp! I'm going to TRY to do the Fat Flush Miracle juice detox day tomorrow
