I want to go to the casino tonight....but I know I'll have a drink or two if I do go. So, should I or shouldn't I? I don't know.

As of now, we have no plans for the 4th. Probably just cook here and I'll go buy some fireworks for the kids. Hubby included!

Sounds like you all have good plans for the weekend. Its suppose to be 90* here for the next couple days. Looks like I'll be indoors for the day. I just can't take the heat like when I was young. There was no humidity here either in PA. Nice day today!
Why not go and have a good time and if you feel you want a drink or two why not have a red wine or I've heard other LC'ers say they have rum and diet coke.

I'm having another good day with my food, day 2, yay. We have no special plans for the weekend but will probably go watch the fireworks somewhere tomorrow.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Happy 4th! No special plans for today.

Last night went to the casino and had a few drinks (4 actually) and the scale reflected that! Oh well, back OP and drinking lots of water now. We had so much fun that I don't regret drinking at all. A girl needs to have fun once in a while and let loose! LOL

BBL!

I hope everyone had a nice holiday. It's great having today off from work.

I'm going over to a friends house around 1:00 today to watch a movie - don't know which one yet. We purposely plan on getting together after meals, as both she and her husband and I are trying to lose.

Speaking of which, it's weigh-in day for me and I've lost 1.2 pounds this past week. I was beginning to wonder if the scale was stuck, as I was the same weight since my last report (6/28) until yesterday morning. Whew! I'm so glad it moved.

Have a great day everyone!

Don't you hate when that scale doesn't move until the last minute? Thats one of the problems with weighing all the time.

I've lost 2 lbs, so 2-3 more to go! I drank so much water yesterday I was spending alotta time in the bathroom! LOL My husband said, "There she goes again!" He really got a kick out of it all.

Really hot here, so I'm staying in the a/c today. I haven't even gotten dressed today! What's the point!

Well, I'll BBL! I like this board and talking to everyone. This really helps me stay OP and not mess up. Thank you all so much for having me!

Well I made it through the holiday weekend without a gain. So I'm happy with that. Now pushing to get the lbs moving down. One good thing I've learned is that when I have friends at the lake for cook outs I have them take all the foods home with them. Helps keep me from eating it.

Hiya everyone!

Sorry I've taken s long to reply. I kinda got lost! I now know how to find the threads I've posted in though, so all's well!

Gibby, Scotland is a beautiful place. There's still so many places I'd love to visit here that I haven't got round to, but I now have a tent and a car, so no excuses!!

Hiya DENMW! My real name is Jacqueline, I'm 31 years old. I live with my lovely partner and my gorgeous 11 year old son. I'm currently a student at Glasgow University and work part-time in a hotel! Oh yeah, and I'm only slightly Wacko!!!

Everyone is doing so well on here. It really keeps me going!

Anyway, due to having had some minor surgery last week, I've felt a bit yucky, so haven't stuck to my exercise goals yet this month, I have been drinking lots of water though, and it's obviously helped, because as of this morning, I'm down another 3lbs, so only 7lbs to Onederland!!!

Keep up the good work everyone, and I'll be back more often now I've found my way!

Just got back from vacation to TX late yesterday afternoon/early evening. Most of my meals I brought with me: flax muffins, protein powder, yogurt, HB eggs, salad, tuna, veggies, fruit. Even though we stayed in motels with continental breakfasts, they are carb laden. One of the motels, Comfort Suites, did have HB eggs though.

I thought by doing this and eating sensible evening meals despite some higher carb indulgences, I would have lost wt. But, I stayed the same 181.5 this morning. Now to do grocery shopping and get what I need to get started on Fat Flush/Detox by Ann Louise Gittleman tomorrow.

Whole Foods was awesome and overwhelming. I had been to one in MN (twin city area) last year but this one in Austin was gigantic. It had it's own parking garage and the place was swarming. Of course it was the day before Independence Day which may have had something to do with it. I would have stayed longer and fought the crowd, browsing, but my parents were with and I didn't want to tick them off my staying too long. LOL

Congrats to all of you/us who made it through a holiday weekend without doing too much damage!!

Hi Lizzie! We love losers!

Jacqueline - I'm glad you found your way back. I was wondering where you went. A tent and a car sounds like fun!

Yesterday I had my follow-up appointment with my doctor after all of the tests he ordered. He is a very happy man! All of my numbers are normal - my cholersterol and triglicerides are very low, which is great. And, I had lost 8 pounds since I saw him a month ago. He was so pleased!

He said he wanted to see me in 5 more months and I asked him if he wanted more urine and blood work done then and he said my numbers were so good, he didn't need it. So I said, "you just want to see if I lost more weight" and he said, "Yep"! Too funny! I love him - he is caring without being judgmental or critical. I won't disappoint him or me!!!

Have a great day everyone.

Keep up the good work.

lizzie welcome back you little loser WTG

Vicki on not gaining during your vacation. Staying at the same weight is a big plus, most gain when there a way. So planning ahead really paid off for you. I have a few Whole sale foods near me and I alway go one a month and stock up. I save so much by doing that.

Marilee good job on your DR's appointment. Sounds like he's a real carring person. Bet you can wait for the next visit to show him how well your doing.

Well for me I took the day off work and the weather is already up in the 90's so I have the ac on and keep trying to go out and enjoy the lake but even the water is too warm. Think I do some grilled steak and salad for dinner. too hot to eat.

I made it through Day 1 of Anne Louise Gittleman's Fast Track Detox. Whew. I haven't weighed myself and would like to give it a couple of more days.

Today I washed all of my fruits and vegetable in the Clorox bath suggested by ALG (see above, 1 tsp per gallon of water). I had so many that I had to use my cooler and a bucket. Now, I was trying to figure out a way to spin my greens (I had 3 different lettuces, mustard greens, spinach, cilantro and parsley) so, I got a new pair of cheap panty hose and stuffed them with the greens and placed on spin in the washing machine for a few minutes. It worked.

I made a huge bowl of salad with all of the greens, salsa, and marinated veggies. I even tried a couple of thing I never have before: mustard greens and daikon radish. Both are "spicy" but not too bad.

Starting day 4 of detox but straying from plan a bit today. I belong to a CSA and my bag had sweet corn in it and I am NOT going to pass up Iowa corn slathered in butter! I weighed yesterday and was 176 whoot, whoot. I am not planning to weigh again until Tues morning as I am at fiance's. He has a scale but it probably varies from mine. I weigh in at TOPS Tues night too and haven't been there for 3 weeks.

I'm still in the 80's. Staying at 183ish and I really want the scale to move. I have to do something to get it moving again. I've been at 183 since the 6th so its time for it to move. Patience is not one of my best features! LOL

Have a good day!

It sounds like everyone is doing great!

My husband went to Michigan with my 19 year old son to help my step son move to a new apartment so I decided to take on the task of painting our bedroom, along with all the woodwork. What a task. I spent all weekend in there and am dead tired today. I still am not done as I have some detail work to finish and the rest of the woodwork around the windows. I am really pleased with the colors though and am glad that my husband could tell that the one wall was a dark green. He is color blind so getting his opinion on colors is never something I take too seriously.

It is amazing on how little I eat when I am busy. I didn't really think about food until I would stop for a while and then all of a sudden I would notice my stomach was growling. I didn't eat dinner until 10:30 last night and that was two pieces melted american cheese dipped in chip dip.

I need a vacation from my weekend.

Princess, when I am busy I don't think about food either. It kind of tells me that when I want food I am usually experiencing head hunger and not stomach hunger.

Hi all...congratulations to all of you losers out there

I had a tough week. My stomach was so bad....I would get these stabbing pains all day and in the wee hours of the morning they would wake me up. It started on Tuesday and last night was the first night I didn't have any pain. Consequently, I lived on chicken noodle soup, crackers, Pepto-Bismal and ginger ale. I don't use a lot of salt so I really put on water weight - 7 pounds to be exact!

I'm back on plan today and am hopeful that those 7 pounds will fall off quickly.

Have a great day!

Well went a little off plan yesterday because we had our Beach Association Picnic. So today back to vlc and plenty of water.

Marilee glad your feeling better, you just have to do what ever you can until your better. But the weight should come right off again, just drink your water.

Dawn sounds like you really had a productive weekend. I'm the same way, if I busy I'm not hungry either, but when I'm bored all I think of is food. It's funny how our mind works.

Vicki good idea on spinning your vegi's

Ann Louise Gittleman's Fast Track Detox. Basically it is eating organic fruits, vegetables and protein plus oils that have Omega 3/6/9 in them. I didn't buy all of my produce organically though, too $$$ so I used a vegetable wash as I described above. The amnt of meat is only 4oz at each meal. I don't weigh it, but eyeball it and am eating a bit less than what I used too. Following this type of plan gives the 40/30/30 ratio. 40% carbs (in the form of the frts and veggies), 30% protein and 30% fat.

She has written many books including Beyond Pritikin and Fat Flush Plan among others. I am on day 6 and will "fast" on Thursday with a cranberry drink made with unsweetenend cranberry juice diluted in water with cinnamon, cloves and other spices added to it. This helps with the detox.

I weighed on my scale this morning and was 170!!! Down about 12 lbs since being back from vacation last Wednesday. I will update my stats with the wt I am at TOPS tonight.

Wow Vicki! That's great! 12 pounds is unbelievable! You must feel so good!

I'm eating 0 carbs this week and I've given up the cappuccino. Yeah, I gave it to my daughter to hide from me! I will get over it. I'm doing good so far with staying OP and now I'll get below 180 and soon.

Have a nice day!
