Good morning everybody,

Today is a new day, and I'm going to start it right! Just finished having my quiet time. I'm feeling focussed and going to spend a little bit planning out my day.

Here is a link to a daily weight loss meditation. Someone on this board used to post them, so I thought I'd share again. It talks about how when we're losing weight, the battle is mainly in our mind! I know that this is so true for me.

Daily Weight Loss Support

Have a blessed day everyone!

Yea Steph, glad to see you back.

Yesterday fiance' and I walked a new trail for an hour.

Food was ok, of course included LC snacks such as nuts ARGH, oh well. I don't have a dly wt to report for today because I was at finace's place and his scale has a dead battery besides, it would weigh differently than mine.

Hi all!

Thanks for the link, Steph! I've subscribed so I can get it myself daily. Yes, it is all in the mind.

I'm looking forward to weighing in tomorrow. I have a goal of 1-2 pounds per week and I think I hit it!

Yea!

Hi all,

Had a very productive day today. For me, everything goes so much smoother when I PLAN. I had the whole day off, but from past experience, unless I take 5 minutes to think through the day, and write down my goals on paper, I end up spinning my wheels & doing things inefficiently.

I think it`s the same with weight loss. Writing things down, then stepping back to revise your plan, and then having the goals on paper, really help me to stay focussed.

Going to go have story time with my little guy, and then laundry & bed.
See ya in the morning!

176.5 today.

I walked briskly this morning for an hour. Yesterday, Karen Voight Sleek Essentials: The Strength Effect.

Last night I was on a roll with trying new recipes. These are what I tried:

http://www.lowcarbfriends.com/bbs/lo...a-tapioca.html

http://www.lowcarbfriends.com/bbs/lo...cracker-2.html

Simple Hamburger Recipes, Easy Hamburger Recipes

Beef Cabbage and Peanut Butter #2
More then 3 Ingredients but soooo easy.

•1/2 bag of coleslaw mix-no dressing
•About a cup of sliced bell peppers ( I buy the frozen strips)
•1/2 cup of green onions chopped
•A couple of Tbls. soy sauce
•1 tsp peanut butter
•Rooster sauce
•ground beef, cooked

Saute the onions and peppers for about a minute, add the coleslaw mix, add the soy sauce, peanut butter, rooster sauce, and leftover meat.Yum!

I used a pound of ground turkey, the whole bag of slaw, and no bell peppers.

And, finally this:

Hi everyone,
I'm doing really good with my eating and will fill you in on it IF it works at the end of the week. If it doesn't work, we'll jusdt ignore this post. All I can say is I'm NOT HUNGRY and I'm not obsessing over food, PTL

Vicki, thanks for posting the recipes. I am definitely trying the chia tapioca. I tried a chia tapioca a while back and it never did get thick. Also, the celery root chips look awesome. Let me know if your try them.

Gibby, down is down girl

Lizzie, work, work? what's up with that? How's your eating going?

Laura come back we miss you.

Misty, how's it going?

Stephie, how's your planning going?

Cortney

Sam, is it 12 days yet. Miss you.

I had my devotion time this and prayed for everyone. I'm going to do a P90X cardio workout now so gotta run, literally, I gotta run.

Hi everybody,
Just posting quick..
Had a good day, and then sabotaged it tonight. I was starving, and just couldn't get a craving out of my mind.
That's ok, I know how to fix it for next time. I really didn't eat enough in the day, or at dinner, and it all piled up at the end of the day.

Just saw a recipe someone posted for 'kale chips'
You take kale leaves (yes, KALE!), spritz them w/ EVOO, and sprinkle whatever seasoning on them you'd like, then bake in the oven until crispy! I'm very leary, but a few people now have sworn that they are good and satisfy that salty/crunchy craving.

I think I'm gonna get me some kale tomorrow!

Sorry to have to run..

Thinking of you all & wishing you an on-plan day
tomorrow!

I did try the celery root chips, they were good. All of the recipes posted I tried. I wasn't thrilled with the chia tapioca though. Kind of gross.

Steph, great down 4 lbs.

My wt 176.5, this is getting old.

Chicometrics for exercise this morning, this is an old 80's video very similar to the Method or Callanetics.

Weigh to go Stepha

I have to admit, I was a little bummed yesterday when I weighed in as I had been faithful to plan all week. I jumped on the scale this morning and I was down 2.8 pounds from last Tuesday. Hot dog!!!!!!

Have a great day everyone!

Misty, I didn't have any "rooster" sauce. But, it is what I thought it was and I have a substitute for it. If you look in the Asian grocery section of your store, there is a red sauce with a rooster on it. It essentially is a hot sauce. I used the hot sauce I have that I usually use for Buffalo Wings. here it is

YEAH Hippoballet! That is so great! I can't wait to see my numbers below 200. the first day that scale hits 199 I will be ecstatic! good for you. my scale has been torturing and teasing me. I will drop 3 or 3 lbs just to wake up with it back the next day. but today its down about 5 oz. I like those days better then the ones with big lose cause I know they will actually stay. It is a beautiful sunshiny day here in Michigan. perfect to take my kids out for a nice LONG walk. maybe i can walk off a few more oz's. Good luck everyone! I think I will try and start posting my daily meals too like everyone else. it might help. but I will have to do it at the end of my days cause I never have any idea what i will end up eating. lol.

hope you all are doing great!

Wt 177.5 up 1 lb. Probably due to the bag of popcorn I bought at the baseball game last night ARGH.

Exercise: Yesterday Chicometrics, today: Walked briskly for an hour.

B: chocolate almond milk, plain yogurt, chia seeds, protein powder, peanut butter shake, coffee w halfnhalf coconut oil

L raw veggies, humus, deli meat and cheese "sandwiches". i use the sliced cheese as the "bread" and layer deli meat between w mustard and mayo.

the day always seems to start off ok and with all good intentions but, I always seem to snack on stuff I shouldn't.

Hi all and welcome Hippo. OK, did I miss your intro cuz I really hate calling you HIPPO

to everyone. Just a quick check in. I taught spinning this morning at 8:30am and just finished my breakfast now I need to clean. I decided to do round 2 of P90X. For those that don't know I completed round 1 with some modifications and am now ready fopr round 2 but doing the nutrition plan. As it is a 6 day a week exercise program and really 7 days a week because day 7 is stretch X, I will pop in for accountability but may not do personals. This program takes a lot of discipline and planning but I feel I'm ready again.

Menu for today:
BR - oatmeal with 1 scoop protein powder, 1 cp. bluberries, bl. coffee
LU - 3 oz. chicken, 1 oz. wheat germ, 8 oz. raw veg., 2-3 T galeo miso dressing (did anyone check out the link I posted about this. It is awesome and only 14 cal. per T)
DI - turkeyburger w/soy cheese, 8 oz.of ugly green beans and winter squash, 1 T butter, 8 oz. raw veg. 2-3 T miso dressing
SN - 2 oz. string cheese

Have a great day everyone.

D/ Caesar salad with tuna, ceasar dressing and alittle cheese
midnight snack/ more summer sausage.

pretty boring I know but I need to do some shopping.

but I am happy to say that I have dropped a number. I am down from the 230's to the 220's now. I am at 229.3 this morning. and yesterday so I am pretty sure its not a fluke this time. YA! GOOD LUCK GUYS!

OK, I overdid it last night:Pizza, honey, SF cookies I didn't weigh today because I knew what would happen. I know, call me chicken . . . anyways. I started the day today with SF cookies and a piece of pizza w honey. What a way to start. . . I can't waste it though LOL, but I can waist it ARGH

I also found out through the list of ingredients on the SF cookies that SF does not equal low carbs. There is still flour in them DUH

I have been thinking about attempting to redo my goal and shoot for the 150's. I have been hovering in the 170s for over a year now, with occasional dips into the 160s and once back into the 180s (don't want to go there again either). So, I hope it isn't too unattainable.

Good morning and Happy Friday

Good job, Cortney!!! No more 230's!!!!!

Vicki - I must admit, I've never heard of pizza and honey before

I myself had a little too many carbs yesterday - I had two pieces of rye bread - and of course the scale was up a pound today. Oh, well, back on NS/modified today.

Have a great day everyone!

Yay Cortney. And don't worry about your menu being boring as long as it is what you like. I find that it's when I start trying new things and experimenting that I get into trouble. For me it is so much better to keep things simple. When I find a meal that keeps me full and I like then I seem to make it a lot. KUTGW.

Vicki, OK, was there something in the air yesterday that came all the way to Florida? I, toom started out with SF things but ice cream sandwiches and then ended up in PASTA And by no means are we chicken by not getting on the scale. I know it would be up so high today that it could depress me and start me bingeing today. So, step away from the scale. We'll get it back down. I don't think your goal is unattainable at all. I say go for it.

Vicki - I must admit, I've never heard of pizza and honey before

I myself had a little too many carbs yesterday - I had two pieces of rye bread - and of course the scale was up a pound today. Oh, well, back on NS/modified today.

Have a great day everyone!
Gibby, the same air came to your part of the country too huh? Just get right back up with us.

Today I am doing an egg fast or M/E fast. I will not do it longer than one day right now because I feel so dragged out when I do it longer. What really helps me get back on track ladies is that I teach spinning. I truly CAN't binge when I teach. I would not be able to do it. Today I'm subbing a class at 6pm and tomorrow I teach my regular class. So thank God for alllowing me to teach Spinning. I'm drinking plenty of water today too and took my vitamins.

So, chug-a-lug girlfriends and let's wash those nasty carbs out of our system.
