Lizzie, 140 is my goal too and I plan to do it by August too. So no dreaming for us girlfriend just a lot of hard work and staying focused. We have been neck and neck for a long time now and I plan to DO IT this time so don't make me leave you in my dust

Just got back from church and am eating my lunch then later this afternoon Roger and I are going to the gym. My plan is to do 30 min elliptical and upper and lower body weights. My menu for the day:

BR - 2 HB eggs, apple, black coffee
LU - 1 egg, 1 oz. wheat germ, 1 T flaxseed meal, 1 T canola oil (made into 2 wheat germ/flax buns) 2 oz. red. fat salami, 8 oz. of pickles and raw baby carrots
DI - 4 oz. pork
8 oz. of cooked cauliflower and ugly green beans
16 oz. raw veg
2T of EVOO
1T butter
up to 2oz. lowcarb ketchup

water, diet soda, tea in between meals

All that = one really good day.
What are everyone else's plans for the day? Have a plan! Failing to plan is planning to fail.

I want to join you all, if you don't mind???

I leave for a cruise June 30, so it would be nice to feel comfortable in my clothes. I am too embarrassed by my weight, so may I post my weight loss instead on weigh-in days?

I am starting Scarsdale tomorrow, April 26. I went to the store last night and bought everything I need, so I am all set to begin.

Linda- it is an Alaskan cruise, so no bathing suit except perhaps a hot tub. It is nice having a mini-goal in sight.

I am glad to join you all for at least the next 9 weeks.

sojibds and hoops!

Hoops, I went on an Alaskan cruise a couple of years ago and all I can say is WOW! I want to go again. I absolutely loved Alaska - we saw bald eagles, bears, sea lions and a humpback whale with her calf got as close as 6 feet away from our whalewatching boat. By law, the boats have to stay a certain distance away from them, but she kept coming closer and gave us a show - rolled over on her back and waved, went under the boat and came up the other side. It was awesome! You will have a blast.

Well, tommorrow is weigh in day! As always, I weigh in on Monday so I have a sneak preview - the scale says I'm up a pound but I've been faithful to plan so I'm not concerned - I can tell I'm losing inches. We will see what tomorrow brings.

Linda - I love your picture. You look so young and healthy!

Have a great day everyone!

Day 1 down... always the hardest day for me to stick on plan. Tomorrow I have a training all day, and I heard it was extremely boring. I am going to bring a bag of celery sticks to munch, and my lunch is a fruit salad.

Sam- Yes, I remember you, too

Marilee- That sounds absolutely amazing. Did you do the prop plane? It is pricey, but this may be my only trip there and what the heck!

Thanks everyone for the welcome. I am so thankful to have a group of nice people to get back on track with. Thank you for that.

4/20 - 316.0 Down 2.4
4/27 - 317.6 Up 1.6 - not too concerned. It's probably water weight. I'm down 9 pounds since 4/5.

Hoops, I didn't take the prop plane-I'm a bit too big for that. We took a lot of the little boat cruises and they were great.

Ash, I wish my scale would die. I'm a bit addicted to it. The program I'm on I'm suppose to weigh only on the first of the month but I just can't stick to that rule.

Weight today was 166.5, the lowest I've been in some time. When I started GS this time around I got up to 178 on March 26. Of course I was carbed up and that was probably a little higher than it actually was but I'm encouraged to stick with my program. GS is very rigid and takes a lot of work but someone said on a meeting I went to on Saturday that before they did GS they went to any lengths to get their food (hiding food, spending a lot of money on junk, sneaking other people's food and trying to make it look like you didn't take any etc, etc. etc. the list goes on) Now on GS she said she goes to any length to stay on plan. That's the ticket guys.

Linda- What is GS?

Today is only my second day on Scarsdale. I lost 2.8 from yesterday... you know that wooosh when we go from eating like crap to eating on plan. I am tired of losing and gaining the same 15 pounds! I am going to stick with this for 9 weeks, go on my vacation for 15 days, and then get back to it. I have a long way to go, so I am taking it one day at a time. I avoided the donuts at the meeting today and ate my orange. Then, I avoided eating lunch out and ate my fruit. I am so ready for dinner, although I am going to get my run in first. I am starting the couch to 5k program this week. It is just 3 days of run/walk per week building up endurance over 9 weeks.

Hi everyone,
I'm having a really hungry day today. I took a Bodypump class (total body weight workout), 20 min. abs and then taught a Silver Sneakers muscular strength and range of movement to senior adults. I'm home trying to get laundry done, a lot of laundry. I had my lunch about an hour ago and I'm still hungry and can't eat until dinner. In GS we say we don't eat in between no matter what and hungry falls into the no matter what category. So, I'm coming here to say I won't eat until dinner NMW.

I had lamb tonight, and it was so yummy. Wednesday is my favorite dinner on Scarsdale.

No Linda, you smell great LOL. I am in a horrible funk. I need a good swift kick in the back end.

Hoops, I haven't tried lamb in a long time. What I remember is how it stunk and tasted icky. But, that was many years ago. Who knows, maybe my taste has changed.

Good morning everyone, I'm off today and will do some cleaning and thengo to the gym at noon for a yoga class.

Hoops, I did Scarsdale years ago and it definitely works. I liked how every day your food is spelled out for you. I do so much better with structure. I just noticed you live in Las Vegas. I love Las Vegas. We have been there 4 times. We've stayed at the Mirage, The Luxor, Ceasar's Palace and Treasure Island. I like the Luxor the best. How do you cook your lamb? Did you make lamb chops or a leg of lamb? I love lamb but can't seem to make it taste good.

I'm sitting out on my lanaii right now and thanking God for this beautiful sunny day. There is a bit of coolness in the air and I love it.

Have a great day everyone and just in case someone else needs it.
