I have to admit I am sleeping way better on the metformin. I also haven't had any issues with it at the moment- knock on wood. I think that is because I eat low carb. I will be upping my dose after 2 weeks if no side effects. I am on 500mg a day. Doctor prescribed 1,000mg but told me to research it and ease into it if necessary.
Jeanie- I don't own a monitor as my yearly blood tests were always fine, but I might get one now. Diabetes runs in the family so I cut out refined sugar about 6 years ago. I have slowly been reducing carbs since last March. I finally went below 75g net carbs March 1st this year I wasn't given sugar water to drink, was just 12 hour fast & then blood drawn. I will make sure the endo knows I eat lc incase that affects the tests.

AllMyPonies- That is great that the shirt is fitting better.

GwnStfni- My doc knows my woe & I think that is why she reacted aggressively to the news by referring my straight away to an endocrinologist & prescribed the metformin, even though I am pre-diabetic. By the way grats on losing yet another pound! Way to go!

Speck333- Sorry you are up 2 lbs, but if it is water retention it will definitely come right off

Have a good night everyone.

Well planning ahead for Easter dinner. I usually see a gain during the holidays but not this time. I'm going to be prepaired.

Kimlou I know what you mean about the yard work. I've been trying to get the yard somewhat cleaned up for Easter and I ever so sore all over. I'm definately counting it as exercise.

opps forgot to add that I did 1 1/2 hours at the gym this morning and the went food shopping for Easter.

Menu today
B nothing was on the run bright and early
L egg salad and bacon roll ups
D grilled chicken and roasted cauliflower and garden salad

I sat on my deck yesterday and looked at all the sticks down in my yard and thought about going about and picking them all up...then I went back to reading my book. Maybe some other time...

Good morning

Morning everyone!

I have been really bad about posting this week, it was a crazy busy week at work. I have been good food wise so hopefully I will see at least a small loss on Monday. I really need to get back to the gym, but finding the time is the key!

Congrats to all who have lost, that is awesome!

Have a great day!

Beth

Hi all, checking in from another time zone. Spent all day in the car yesterday. My mom made us a fabulous low carb dinner, but I'm afraid still more carbs than I should have had, even though everything was legal. Didn't sleep well last night, and I'm exhausted, or else I'd go for a walk out here in their lovely mountainous rocky desert. No scale here either.

I didn't do any exercise today. I ate a few more carbs today by having some roast veggies for dinner & an oatmeal raisin cookie for dessert. Total net carbs for the day was just 62g so I still was fairly low carb, especially for a holiday Hope everyone has a Happy Easter & relaxing Sunday.
