I posted my goals for this challenge above but am waivering on the last goal. Help me decide, please. Here's my story.

I've been struggling with what I belive is chronic fatique for about 4 years and in that time gained close to 30 lbs. In October I got very sick and it took the doctors till January to figure out it was my appendix. I felt so much better after they took it out and finally dropped some weight. I'd been eating Primal before and during my illness but couldn't lose weight. Toward the end of January I decided to go with the new found weight loss. Since I was still recovering from surgery I wanted a super easy fail proof plan. In the past when I'd feel sick I'd always go off plan. So I ordered Diet to Go, a low carb meal delivery plan. Its average cal are 1250 and ave carbs 42g. I did that for about 4 weeks and lost 16lbs. I never intended to do it long term and after 4 weeks was getting tired of the food so I've saved my last week of food for lunches only and started doing dinner on my own (was doing breakfast all along). Since that time, about a month now, I've only lost 2 lbs. I'm eating more calories now that I'm doing it on my own, between 1500-1700 and ave 30-40 carbs. I know that is still good but I'm so close to my goal now I'm worried I won't make it. I'm also concerned I don't have a plan for once I get to goal.

So I'm considering doing Atkins induction and then following the rest of the plan. What do you think? Would induction help speed up my weight loss and get me to goal or is it just going to be this slow at this weight? That's why I'm waivering. Do I want to be restrictive if this is the pace this close to goal no matter what? Please tell me what you think. Thanks

I wish I had the experience to offer you good advice, but I can offer you a suggestion: make a thread in the Lobby asking for advice. Copy you post from here (minus the first few sentences about the challenge) and lots of people with years of experience will drop in & help you out. Also more people will read there then this thread, which means more people to help you out

The challenge begins.

I weighed in at 193 this morning. Not really sure of a goal weight but I am in a solid size 14 right now and I want to get back into my 12''s very comfortably or even loose by summer time.

I know if I pay attention to measurements I will keep up the exercising. This morning I will be doing a 6 mile hike with my GF.

Been at it 11 days now, and can see and feel a difference! Also do 100 crunches, and lots of upper body work. Top it off with 25 minutes on the treadmill, a peak pattern with a 10% grade....

I'm fit, just fat!

I weight in at the gym, after workout, and that's not till tonight....

I don't think you should go on Atkins induction to speed up weightloss as much as to get yourself solidly in the routine of Atkins.

It's Monday! The first official day of my Spring Break. I plan to clean something everyday, exercise everyday and stay on plan. That is usually a hard thing for me to do. Staying on plan when I am at home with the hubby and two kids to cook for. However I am going to do it!

Sweetpoison- the crockpot is a lifesaver. What do you do to your roast?

Jennifer- I think are ports are Monte Carlo, Florence, Naples, Rome and Barcelona. That's great that most people speak English, but we probably should get some general sayings. Lol. What did you learn for your trip?

I love my crockpot.... however, kiddo recently announced he wants to go vegetarian. He'll do eggs and dairy though. So... I have a freezer full of roasts, ribs, burger... hehehe, more for me!!!!

I like to take a good sized chuck roast, then I'll spray the crock with PAM, put in the roast, a can of cream of mushroom soup, a packet of onion soup mix, half a can of water, and quartered onions. Set on Low, go to work. Come home and add baby carrots, potatoes if you want, turn to high for 40 minutes. Yum!

I hit a new decade this morning with the 169.4 (I lose slowly and so the .2, .4, etc., are really important to me ) but I think it's temporary due to dehydration -- yesterday was not a fun day and I'll leave it at that. On Friday, me and the fam are going to my folks place in the middle of nowhere Arizona for the weekend (over Easter). Mom knows we're low carbing, and I'm planning on bringing some of my own foods just in case, but I won't be able to get in much exercise while we're there. Our travel day is going to be next Monday, so I won't be able to check in with you all until next Tuesday.

No biggie with the roasts....... throw them in there.... onions......garlic..... let cook in its own juice..... I like my meat super done! Thats about it...
