Hey everyone! I had a planned cheat week as I was on vaca at the beach so I did not weigh in on Monday... I was down from the week before but put on a few pounds and working on getting them back off this week. Hoping for at least a pound or two to report on Monday but at this rate, I'll be happy just to be back at sig! Congrats to all you losers! This challenge is quickly coming to an end, let's give it our all, Summer is almost here!!

Congratulations on those of you getting closer and closer to goal!

But I am so pissed off. I do NOT know what is going on. I have not eaten off plan except for 3 bites of my daughter's birthday cake 4 days ago! I am up 2 lbs. It is not TOM. The ONLY thing different is that I started exercising (2-2.5 weeks ago). I am doing Callanetics 2 hours a week and run/walking 3 times a week (couch to 5k program). I am glad that I have been measuring, though. My waist is down a 1/4 inch and I've noticed other positive changes in the way my body looks. But that freaking scale is so disheartening.

I am beginning to think this challenge is just down to us 3 or 4 peeps Didn't we start off with like 50 people? I had a great week, very strict QWL. Lost more this week then I've ever lost in one week. Hope you all had a great week too! One more week to go!

Last week I finished week three of couch to 5k. I didn't do any Callanetics though. I started a home improvement project on Wednesday that consumed most of my days Wed - Saturday. On Friday I started coming down with some kind of upper respiratory illness, worked through it on Saturday, but by Saturday night I was down for the count, running a fever and feeling like hell. This continued all day Sunday... fevers, coughing, sneezing, nasal congestion, the whole 9 yards. I slept on and off from Saturday night until this morning. I've been taking Zicam and a lot of Vit. D and Tylenol. I feel quite a bit better today, but that home improvement project and all exercise is on hold for several more days I'm afraid. The upshot is that I lost 3 pounds since Friday... I'm sure it won't last, but I'm gonna claim it anyway! And change my mini goal in my sigi

Speck, congrats on your 3 lb loss! I read your earlier post about being discouraged with the scale after starting exercising. That always happens with me too. I know how hard it is to concentrate on the tape measure instead of the scale but it really is what we want right? -for our body to shrink.

Hi Gwn, thanks for asking, that really is nice of you Yes, I'm feeling better, but still nasally and coughing. Good enough to finish my project today, but now, I just want to put my feet up and rest. I should be able to get back to running and stuff at the end of the week, Saturday probably.
Good news, too, I was down another half pound today to 163.0, so maybe it will stick after all

Thanks Sammy. I think I was also retaining a lot of water in my knees, they were chronically sore for a week and a half from running. Soreness = swelling = water, so it stands to reason. I measured again this morning and my waist is down 3 inches total since beginning back in January. I'm really glad I started measuring, too.

Hey everyone... Looks like this is our final weigh in for this challenge! Hope you have all made your goals, and if you haven't, I am sure we are all much closer to our ultimate goal and feeling better for it! I did not lose anything this week! I think my body was in shock over the loss from last week that it decided to cool its jets, even though I stayed on plan. I'm super happy with my progress though! Well, this is it! I've enjoyed this challenge with all of you, and feel really good about completing it. It's hard to believe it's been three months!! Wow! Time flies. Unfortunately, the weight did not for me anyway. Congratulations to all of you with your significant losses! Even though I only lost 4-1/2 pounds this entire challenge (yes, I'm up a pound and a half over last week, but I knew that would happen), I'm happy that the numbers are going down, not up. I also managed to commit to my exercise routine.
Thanks for the encouragement and see you all around the board!
