I'd like to join all. I'm more determined that ever to get to my goal by summer. I started back on induction on the 1st. Also keeping a written journal of my exercise and food. As well as tracking my carbs daily of ******. I'm hoping maybe to see a 5lb loss by the end of the month.

Well I did great today and am starting to get over the Induction flu. Had a great work out this morning.
Today I had
B-Cheese omlett
L-2 tuna and romain wraps
D-roasted cauliflower and pork chop stuffed with spinach and ricotta

Hoping that I ate enough that I'm not going to crave a snack. But I'll see.

Gibby, how is Nutri System going?

Misty, do you really mean the stomach flu or is there something really called the induction flu?

Good morning - NS is going well. I got my big box of food on Monday and started on Tuesday of this week. I dropped 5 pounds so far.

I am doing my own modified version of NS. They tell me to have a serving of fruit for afternoon snack and I subsitute it with a serving of protein (1 oz lean meat of a hard boiled egg). Also, if you have over 100 pounds to lose, you are supposed to add a carb serving to breakfast and dinner and a fruit to lunch. I have made those a serving of protein also.

I figured my carbs come to around 100g per day. That's 1/2 of what the nutritionist had me on so I would call it moderate.

Any who.......I've you'll let me, I'd still like to be part of the thread. Living alone like I do, I need all of the support and encouragement I can get.

TTYL!

Vicki no not the stomach flu. On Atkins the first few days you feel like crap going through all the carb withdrawels, and so tired. So we just call it induction flu. And then you get this nice surge of energy when it's over. The best part.

WTG Gibby 5 lbs is great. Your off to a good start. How often do you have to order the food. I hate grocery shopping, it must be nice to have it delivered.

It comes every month - I'm on the 4 weeks on with weekends off plan. They want you to take tools you are learning and do it yourself on the weekend (or any two days in the week). Also, you can then be a "normal" person and go out with friends or occasions once in a while.

Yes, it's nice. I just need to add dairy, fruit , veggies and protein.

Thanks Misty. I haven't been diligent enough to follow strict Atkins.

I read on another thread that there is a new Atkins book out. I got it from Amazon yesterday and am ready to start reading it once I am done with Valerie Bertinelli's Finding It.

Sounds like a good way to tweak it. Increase protein instead of fruit. Congrats on 5 pounds off. Had you regained a bunch?

Hi Ladies~

I NEED to lose some weight here. I have a wedding in 3 months to go to. I am hoping to lose at least 10 lbs a month. I am at 177 lbs currently. It seem like right after Thanksgiving (and all the eating) I lost my motivation. I've only exercised ONCE in the last few weeks - someone kick me !!!

Groovy looks like you did great from your original start and it's nice to see you jumped right back on plan before there was alot of damage done. Did you loose the first time on a Low Carb plan?

The weather was so nice today it hit 50 so I went for a nice long walk around the lake with Rocco(dog). He needs to lose too! Tomorrow we have a big fishing dery on the ice, so I plan on eating a nice lunch before I go so that I'm not tempted to eat all the junk they'll be selling. Day 6 on induction and I feel great.

Thanks Ladies,

Well Vicki, Yes- I know to think Looooong term but I'm trying to get through this wedding first, lol.

A bit about me. I am a 42 yr old mom of 3 teens. In March of last year I weighted in at 259 lbs. By July I was at 242 lbs that when I went in for my lapband. I am losing weight sloooooowly. Up until the holidays I was working my butt off on exercise and I was afraid to eat anything. Now, I find out that I don't have any problems with sweets or dairy still afraid of bread and pasta though. My the ultimate goal is about 130 lbs and I hope to finally reach it by my birthday in August.

Vicki congratulation of your Aug wedding. Are you retaking your vows?

Had a busy day today, went to a fishing derby on the lake, but ate before I left so that I wouldn't be tempted to eat off plan. But they we're cooking on the grill and it smelt so good that I ended up eating a hotdog w/o the bun.

I'll answer!!! IT'S A NEW MARRIAGE. And I've been here the whole time to hear about it! I remember "SG" being brought up all the time. And before that Harley boy! Who I'm now very glad you got rid of!

Congrats!
