Gibby....we have to walk in faith for every part of our lives...I ask the Lord to help me do this and i know you have too...So if we cant trust Him who can we trust...We can only do this one day, one pound, one inch at a time no matter how long it takes....I do not eat any Akins products...I dont use the sticks, I just try the best I can each day to not eat the flour and sugar anymore...I only walk for exercise....I dont get on the scales each day or even each week...I am just taking one meal at a time and setting little goals for myself...like I said. not going thru the fast food window....not eating after 6 at night unless we are out somewhere and have a sm..snack at the ball game like tomorrow night with the Suns...I will take a sm. bag of peanuts maybe and drink my diet coke....I would rather loss one pound slowly for ever gone then to add a pound ....It is not always easy ...and I pray everyday ...Lord...help me be careful... Food means so much to us and it is sad that it controls our lives so much....I want to live ...

Gibby ...you are a special woman...You can do this for you...Set your goal for you...If we fall backwards then pick up and go forward again...no matter how many times it takes...we are all here for you...I need a friend like you to help support me....I tell you what, I will pray for you and you pray for me and lets see what happens...we are in this together ....

Sam you are going be fine...you are young and have so much of life ... We all have ups and downs but we pick up and go again...You will too...

Hi everyone. It looks like you all are having a busy weekend!

I went to the store and stocked up on meat, eggs and veggies so I'm set to START AGAIN!!!!!

Because of the storm last week, my trainer and I cancelled our Thursday after work appointment and I met with him yesterday at 6:30 AM!!!! I like the early morning appointments - I'm up at 5AM anyway and it gets my day energized.

Nothing else new to report. I'll be watching the Vikings and hoping that they win!

Sorry about the Vikings....I think there might have been some bad calls yesterday, but it is over now and on they move to the Superbowl....

Glad you got your exercise in Gibby...that always feels good .....I am like you...got my supplies and am ready for this week...going to do some low carb this week....

Hi everybody

I've been in mourning because the Vikings lost! If they had managed to keep their hands on the ball, they might of won - you think?

Back on plan today so I feel in control. It's amazing how good that feels! I don't like it when I feel out of control - everthing goes to heck.

Vicki-more snow? Holy cow. Lot so school for your DS to make up.

Yep, another snow day for DS#3. I think that is #8 or 9 now.

I was hanging out at fiance's this past weekend. I was able to exercise over there since I took a DVD and bands. We chipped away at the ice at the end of my drive on Sat. but it was real thick, so I think that should count for exercise though. It was about 30 minutes or so.

Gibby, glad you are back in control.

Mary, so glad you posted this wknd. I read but didn't respond.

Linda, where are you did P90X do you in LOL? Just kidding.

Lei, Liz, Sam how was the wknd?

Good morning!

I hope everyone is doing well. I know it is probably water weight, but hey, it's encouraging. I'm down 2 pounds since my restart yesterday.

For breakfast I had 2 eggs sauteed in butter so I'm off to a good LC start!

Must get to work. Be blessed today.....

I loved it there. But now I'm fatter, tired, and dry.

Me I have been on a binge!!! I don't even know what happened I just went Insane!!I am afraid to get on the scale tomorrow...maybe I will just wait till Friday right SAM???

Thanks! I know, why is it so hard to stay on plan when we know it is so good for us

Does anybody take a meal a week (or month, or whatever) and have what ever they want (like Chinese!) and just watch portions? I was wondering if giving yourself "permission" to have one carb meal, would help with the
binging and going way off program. Just curious.

Oh, deary, I FEEL YOU! Can we make weigh-in day Friday, Feb 12th instead, because I could see it taking me that long to get anywhere decent. Oh, sad.

I started out strong on my trip then gradually crumbled... culminating last night. Today I had me choco eggs for brunch, and dinner was steak, sauteed cabbage & kale, coleslaw, and 2 organic grassfed beef hotdogs with unsweetened ketchup.

Just trying to get back into ketosis, and remind myself that 5 pounds of weight gained over a few days MUST be 90% water!

Gibby, I use to give myself one meal a week to have anything I wanted then got back on track but I had to stop....I started thinking that I had one meal so I could have one whole day and then I had to stop.....now I am not really on induction but I watch my carbs to keep low....I have just mainly given up anything that is made with flour or sugar. This has really helped me this time....I have made up my mind that I know I am not able to have certain foods anymore....I am finally getting to the point now that I want to add more exercise....The scales may seem to be crawling at times but I know that I am feeling so much better and that my clothes are feeling alot more comfortable these days.... Even watching the biggest loser has made me know that I dont want to go thru what those people are going thru ...Food is not going to control my life...I love it and always will but I have to make changes...

Gibby I feel the same way if I could just have one day to have what I want... but it just get out of control for me....I can say though I ate mostly sweets on my 2 insanity days..choco covered cherries, kisses,giardelli 60%..rice crackers & cheese and almost forgot...3 samll pieces of thin very thin crust pizza!

Oddly when I woke up this morning I have no cravings I am not even hungery PTL!! I will have a 2 egg omlet for breakfast with cheese and jalapenos..

Sam we gotta weigh in this friday...we gotta...and when we get to 150 we will meet at Union Station!

Thanks for the input....I wasn't thinking about a whole day but one meal. Any who.....

Here's the meal plan for the day:

Breakfast - 3 eggs fried
Lunch - tuna with mayo and a little onion, a small yellow pepper and 1/2 red pepper and a small tomato
Snack - SF jello
Dinner - steak with salad with real dressing

Sam, this is a good article about what happens when you start a new workout. I, too, am up in my weight and my eating has not been bad either. I admit it has gotten a bit sloppy, more grazing than planned meals but nonetheless not enough to gain yet I have.

I was down 1 1/2 lbs last night at TOPS, see stats. I am sooooo ready to be rid of this snow and to be able to walk outside again. Usually I am able to walk outside once in a while during the winter despite the cold. But, it has been so snowy and icy, walking can be detrimental to your health.

Guess what, it is amazing how I can stick to a plan if I don't bring "snacks" to work. I have typically had nuts here. But, haven't restocked my supply since running out about a week or so ago. i did get a small vendo land pkg of pnuts yesterday but that is by far a lot smaller and more normal portion than handfuls LOL.

Sam, Linda, Lizzie, Vicki....hope you are ok. And anyone else I missed!

It's true confession time - I LOVE CARBS!!!! I'm having difficulty cutting them out of my eating and going strict induction. I've even checked out other ways of eating- HCG, WW (again!), South Beach etc. but I lose so well on LC I just need to DO IT!

Nothing much to report here. My 10 yr old is on an exercise kick now, has been for a week or so. He has it all planned out on what types of exercise he is doing at his dad's, my house, and his grandparent's. Last night he jumped on the rebounder to one of JB Burns' videos and has been doing Ab work. He came out and had his stomach uncovered and said "I think I have a 3 pack" LOL.

I am definatly with you Gibby...but I keep on keepin on!!! it is sooooooooooo hard. I was lurking yesterday but no one was around. So I didn't post my weight either my dear doctor Sam:blush: I have a better out come this morning.

Hello all...sorry ...I have been sick for a couple of days...started throwing up and didnt think I was going to make it there...the room keep spinning on me....but I am better now...DH took off yesterday with me...I am never sick but I think I have been stressed out with my some things going on with my grandson here...Sam...I could have used a Dr....but feel ok today....alittle weak but feel great...had some broth all day yesterday and had to have a few crackers....but now I will make have a good low carb meal today.....I am usually the one that is always the helper not the one sick but DH was so wonderful....

Thanks for worrying about me...I will be on again soon...must go just take it easy again....Have to change to a new school on Monday for work so that will be interesting to think about....

Mary-- Feel better! Get some rest!

Gibby-- You have to do this. The only thing that will break the cycle is BREAKING it. Two days of clean eating and you will be like a whole new person. Please give that to yourself, and let ketosis and habit take care of the rest!

Slim-- YUP. Yesterday was so quiet I thought I'd sneak past weigh-in day

I'm 186 right now. I know, it's terrible. But I'm in ketosis and I don't FEEL fatter. Just yesterday 2 people told me I looked like I lost weight... which is highly entertaining, since I weigh more than I did a few months ago. I think it's the exercise!
