lol I have to laugh too Liz...I was on a jury once and the young man had already pleaded quilty....all we had to do was listen to part of the trial and sentence him...When we voted on the issue this young girl keep saying....BUT...I dont think he is guilty...We stayed all day trying to explain to her that HE WAS....she finally just voted with us....

Well this week is almost gone ..yea for the weekend coming...Off for 3 days so that will be nice...it is suppose to rain here maybe...we need it...dry in AZ....

The drinks sound good...have to try one of those....mmmmm

Well off to work.....

Gibby ...hope you had a good nites rest......

Hi everyone, just a quick post as I'm committed to P90X now (or need to be committed) and I have much to do today. I HAVE to be organized now or it won't get done. Also, I was very convicted about spending so much time on this and so little time set aside for GOD. My devotion time is a pidly amount so that HAS to change if I want to continue. I'm looking for more ways to just keep God first and foremost in my life. After all, when my day comes to stand before Him He's not going to ask me how I did with P90X. He's going to ask me What did you do for my Son? Also, by putting God first I can call on Him to help me with P90X. I'm also getting more organized in my cleaning. So P90X is helping me in many many other ways. I"m weighing daily and keeping a record on my calendar but plan to also log my food into the *********** nutrtion tracker daily and log my calories and macros so I can get a handle on my weight. Right now I keep fluctuating 3 lb. up and down. It may be the exercise but I have a feeling that it may be mindless grazing and although the food is on plan it is just too much food. So, once a week I will update my stats.

I know that this is our year ladies so................................................ ........
Hang on to your hats ladies. 2010 is going to be a wild ride.

Hey, that's a great name. The Dr. Sam challenge. My weight is up today but from reading on the P90X posts that is normal. Yesterday was Yoga X (90 min.) I only did 45 min. as my wrists started hurting. I had bilateral carpal tunnel surgery about 10 years ago and have not had a problem. I just got a little nervous about my wrists. Today they are fine. Was I using that as an excuse to stop? Honestly, I think I was But, next time now that I know what's in store for me I'm going to tackle Yoga X in the morning when I'm fresh instead of at night. And I WILL get it. Also, I'm looking at the positive side of this. I did my BEST. Now I'll forget the rest. Today I'm off to the gym to meet a friend who is also starting with me to do Legs, back and Ab ripper X. We are going into the group fitness room with my DVD player and then using the assisted pullup machine for the pullups and chinups.

Have a great day everyone.

Just wanted to share this with you. Today would have been my mom's 85th birthday. She passes away 4 years ago. I made this for her memorial service. Isn't she beautiful?

Linda, she looks just lovely! And you did your best with the yoga, and I would be afraid, too, of hurting myself. And carpal tunnel can be awful! So I don't think it was just an excuse

Slim-- Dr. Sam Challenge?! I love it.

I lost another pound today, but I have 31 to go! Seems daunting, but also not that daunting at the same time. Down 7.4 lbs since 1/1, and that's only the halfway point for January. Let's hope it continues!

I simplified my meals the past 2 days-- lots of meat and lots of fat. Clearly that works for me, even though my calories may still be high!

I love this WOL.

Mary, who is in your profile pic? I assume one of those kids is you?

I weighed in this morning on home scale as I said I would and was up a lb. 169.5. Just so that I am aware and can watch it through the weekend. We are going to the Lion King this afternoon and eating at Spaghetti Works after. At least they have a heck of a good salad bar.

Hi guys, quick check in to say I'm doing great with P90X.
Week 1 Day 6 done, yay.
I am so psyched guys. I did Kenpo X (kickboxing) today and LOVE it! It was a great boost for me as I didn't do so well with the Yoga X. I teach Spinning and on Saturdays alternate teaching so today I went to take the Spinning class with the instructor I alternate with who also started P90X with me. Although we both have our own set of DVD's, we sometimes get together at the gym and do our routine. It becomes a little competitive too and I'm much more likely to give it my all. She also teaches Yoga so she excels in the flexibility part. But today we did Kempo X right after a one hour high intensity Spinning workout and I tell you "I kicked butt". I have taken kickboxing classes before and not done so well so I was prepared to look like a dork. I even told my friend to be prepared but that my goal was to complete it to the best of my ability. I have had knee surgery and also have had problems with my hip so I know my limitations but yet I want to challenge myself. Of course, it starts with Yoga and I did not do as well as Julia who also takes kickboxing. But, I'll tell you that I kept up with every move and fumbled a little but for the most part I did fabulous. Doing it in the group fitness room at the gym was also great because I got to do in in front of mirrors so I could check my form. No, I wasn't perfect but I was pretty darn good. I did keep my kicks low and that will be something to work on but I really concentrated on the moves and my form. Julia is also 20 years younger than I am and she pooped out on some of the moves while I was going strong. Now, don't get me wrong guys, I'm not looking at this as a competition butI needed this today because Julia blows me away with the Yoga and even yesterday with the pullups. I even did the X jumping jack which is on the jump up you make an X in air before landing and my knee was OK with it. I did get a wow out of Julia then as she didn't do it. OK, so it was a baby x, LOL, but nonetheless an X. The best part about it is that I feel so great right now and feel like I could even do more. That, my friends is what I call "bringing it".

I hope everyone has a great day and rest of the weekend. I plan to weigh on Tuesday morning and adjust my stats accordingly. That's what we're doing right Dr. Sam?

Sorry I've been MIA this past week or so. I've been working on a couple of big projects at work that required staring at the computer for 9 hours straight each day. The last thing I wanted to do when I got home was get on the computer again.

Congratulations on your weight loss, Sam! I'm proud of you.

Linda - you're excercise program daunts me! I'm so proud of you, too! I can hardly walk for 5 minutes so see what you have come to accomplish is an inspiration for us all.

Today I went to the grocery store and stocked up on meat, chicken, squash, peppers, lettuce, etc. so my kitchen is 100% LC!

Everyone have a great day and we'll "talk" later!

Gib-- thanks, darling! The great thing about exercise is you rapidly increase tolerance, despite starting out at a low point.

Linda-- GO YOU Your workouts sound amazing. I bet you are super muscular! I wanna come attend your classes

We CAN weigh-in Tuesdays-- I've been using Friday as my "official", but the Dr Sam challenge is open to flexibilty

I was 0.6 away from the 170s again this morning! YIPEEEEEEE. A few months ago I hit 177.... and I will be back there in no time!

Slim-- You're officially registered for the Dr. Sam challenge.... but I WILL SAY that you have the same weight goal as me and are 10 pounds closer, so naturally, I'm a little bit (LOT OF BIT) jealous.

I know right now that goal seems so attainable, I just have to remember, it will only happen if I KEEP doing this. No backsliding. No "just this onces".

Yesterday I ate way more than usual--- had cottage cheese & tomatoes at breakfast (came with my eggs). For dinner had omelet AND chicken wings, and then I still wanted something so I ate a can of pumpkin. Now I'm up 1.4 pounds. Knew it would happen, with the 30g of carbs from pumpkin and the increased dairy, but I didn't feel all that bad about it.

Usually when I'm on plan and strict I never have a gain. But I think Tuesdays and Fridays will be my official weigh-in days now (though I weigh multiple times a day), and I'll post 'em here. How that sound?

Check out LCF..INDUCTION FOOD PORN ( I know )...found some really good recipes and some old ones (Ooopsies) and wonderful delish pictures. Yea slim you mustv'e seen that I posted on the Porn thread LOL.

I am off today too for MLK day. I had a couple of appts today, phone calls to make, stops to make and went to the Y. Now, I am home for the rest of the day.

This past couple of weeks have been a bit stressful and I know my eating had gotten out of hand. DUH, that is how I have always handled stress, that certainly hasn't changed. Hopefully, the scale will be kind tomorrow, but I doubt it. I will just have to face and accept whatever number is on the scale.

I agree ...Vicky you will do it...I think the most important thing is when we do get back on track no matter how long we are off it...I understand about the stress and eating....I think that is when I just dont care but I know better so I am trying to handle things better from now on...stress or not...I am not going to let myself go anymore...I want this no matter how long it takes......

We will all do great this week... Come on girls...we can do it...rah, rah, rah for us....

Good morning..

I think I have just had a reverse Whoosh!!! I was doing so well!
I am not a happy Camper..Seems like everytime I start to do well and post it I jinx it....

Yesterdays Menu

2 eggs/butter
2 better cheddar sausages 3 carbs 1 sugar each..
coffee

2 more better cheddars Big mistake! should have had some eggs..
water

Went to my cousins for supper and she went out of her way to make a low carb meal and it was wonderful!

7 layer salad
1 chicken breast
Brocolli
1 small Atkins cheese cake it was soooo good.
St Croix water

I think it was the better cheddars ...?? 12 carbs 4 sugars just for them! Maybe it is water retention..any ideas? what happened

Oh well onward and downward.

Vicki you will make a comeback!!
LL56 yes we can!
Gibby I gotta go to work today too..
Linda

Sam: I am not posting my weight today I will wait till Friday I am so bummed...

Come on everyone...we all work,we all take care of families and we work again but we are going to do this together ...one day, one pound at a time if needed but we will do it...I would rather have one pound gone forever than to add 2 more....There is no race to the finishline but a desire to get there is...We can do it...this is our year if we really want this...I do...Even if the bumps in the road ...having to work, take care of my family, things that will come my way this year that will need my attention...But I am going to make this journey to the end....I need this for me alone so I will be strong to do those other things...

Gibby...just know that when you are at work that you can do this ....One day at a time...Take your time and do it your way...We are here for you...

Linda.. exercise is going to get you there...for that is your strong area right now.

Vicki...Stress does make us get of track even just alittle bit but we still get back on board..that is what counts....

Liz and Lorrie....we are all in this together....so I will be our cheerleader and rah rah rah all I have tooooo....

WE WILL DO THIS TOGETHER....

Now every smile
