Do you like to exercise?
I HATE IT! I'll be the first to admit I hate it because I'm lazy. I hate the effort it takes to get dressed rather working out at home or the hlth club, I hate the long drawn out internal dialogue I have with myself before dragging my ass to exercise, I hate sweating my hair out, I hate the $88 a month I "donate" to my gym because I never use my membership, hell I can go on for days. On the flip side I love what exercise does for the mind and body. I love the energy and since of accomplishment I feel after every workout, if only those things were enough. ***sigh***


Is this your first time losing or your 59th?
Shamefully, I have had many failures at this since 2000 and have gained 35 lbs in the process. Not that the plan doesn't work, I've just not been consistant long enough to see results since I successfully lost 55 lbs on this WOL before back sliding.

What's your goal for this 8 week challenge?
•To get off HBP meds. My Dr just increased my dosage by 50mg on Dec 22nd, this after putting me on meds for the 1st time in August.
•Lose 20 Lbs. That will put my weight @ 195.

What are you going to do to ensure you reach this goal!?!?

•Try to manage my stress level. This will be helpful for my BP and binge eating.
•Remain in the moment and be cognizant of what I put in my mouth. NO MINDLESS EATING
•Visit this challenge often and be held accountable.

Good afternoon all! I really slept in today, didn't rise until 10:30. I smelled the cinnamon rolls baking in the oven, yikes. My teenager and her friend ate them all! My reward for NOT eating them was bacon and eggs. I must say that tasted better than I thought. It is SNOWING so much today, no way to get out and walk. The wind chill is like 5 below It's good to hear all of you so positive and motivated. Let's ring in the new year with healthy eating, after all we are women, we deserve it!!!! Happy New Year and stay strong.

My gym is closed today, tomorrow, and Sunday so I can't work out until Monday. We've got cold temps and rain, and as much as I love hiking, I'm a fair-weather hiker, so none of that for me in the winter. That's why I belong to a gym.

Well I can finally get on line. I had no internet service all day. I tried to get on the website on my berry but that sucked big time. I miss my Iphone.

Well it didn't really matter because after my 60 min fast walk in the pouring rain I had a shower then fell alseep on the couch. Lol. So one point for me today. :dancing: I have eaten on plan. Just about to have a protein shake.

I am going to sign up tomorrow for ice skating lessons. They are twice a week for 40 min. Its been forever since I skated and I just want to get out on the rink in a controlled environment so what better way with lessons with a small group. I don't need to be falling on a little kid on the ice.

Very important rule clarification


Someone asked me about the exercise points and i now realize that was not very clear. The point of this challenge is to exercise and eat on plan consistently. As such, I have asked you all to commit to working out AT LEAST 3 days per week! (this is really not asking for much). In order to receive your exercise points, you MUST exercise at least 3 days a week. If you workout only 2, 1, or worse None in one week, you receive 0 exercise points.

Time to cut the crap. No excuses.
