Everytime I move, I feel my poor stomach muscles...I wish I could ice them...oh well, that means I need to start doing more crunches...daily!

Why do I always feel like I'm fighting my body? I want it to do so much more, but anytime I want it to move and get in even better shape, there's always this tug-of-war...mind over matter scenario. Why can't my body just do what I want it to do without complaining? Once I reach the level of fitness where I don't have to hear it whine so much, then, life will be grand...but will my body ever get to that point?

my brain even came up with a poem to describe my pain...

move body
move through sand and mud
through fire and ice
over hills and mountains
stop groaning and complaining when I push you
it's for your own good
why can't you see that and stop fighting me?
Hey Ms. Sunny! Awww...I feel 'extra special' being added to your siggy! If I can figure it out ..I'll add you and Lisa too.

Your body Will definatley get to the point that it craves excersize..(So I've heard..Lol) You are doing a fantastic job at moving and grooving..I have been impressed with your dedication since day one. I am quite the fan of my COLA sister. Keep up the good work.
By the way..did ja know that..YOU are the reason I got off the couch and started walking..(for the First time Years) and one of the main reason I continue. Watching you makes me feel accountable and know that I need to keep stepping up to the plate and keep moving....

That being said.......I am stepping up my excersize this week!
I am going to continue with my 1 mile walk and IMMEDIATLY come home and do one of my work out tapes (I have many..unused:blush

I noticed that when I did it today I felt I had 'pushed' myself. I think I was geting 'used' to the 1 mile walk. This is definatley a move in the right direction. I almost look forward to being a lil sore tomorrow

Before I post my points for this week. I have a question..Yesterday I found out that I had 14.5 sneaky hidden carbs in my diet. (between my fiber gummies, coffee creamer and vitimins) So..considering I ate my 20 carbs and wthout really knowing ..also added 14.5 carbs with the extra items...do I loose all my OP points for going over the available 20??

I'll be shaking in my boots waiting for your answer..

I vote that you keep your points. You thought you were on plan. It's not like you went out and ate a big pasta dinner.

In my house however, my opinion isn't worth much, so you may have to keep sweating til one of our boss chicas comes around

In fact, I'm still down to do my regular workouts, but I'm not young like you all are and there's no way I can do biggest loser type workouts.
I missed this post.

The bonus challenges are just that. No one has to do them. Its just extra opportunities to work out!

Its more important that ppl are following the general rules of the challenge... eat on plan EVERY day...workout at least 3 times a week.

I don't want to see anyone get hurt. I find the biggest loser very extreme and this is not a BL challenge.

Just want to see ppl succeed on their plan.

Everyone should be collecting at least 10 pts every week..and that is what i was alluding to in my posts about pts. You all know your limits. And you all know if you are REALLY working your plan.

This is just a place for support and encouragment with out all the "that's oks, when it really isn't" and a lil push for those who want more in a structured way.

Hi to all the CTC Chx!

Drinking 200 oz of water is a major challenge to me! I managed to drink 130 so far.
I walked 6 miles with Leslie and completed 200 crunches.

This is freakin hilarious!! And the reason I don't drink water until the weekend or when I get home if that.

I am out in the field all day and the places I go ~ you would rather pee outside than use the facilities there!

Just a friendly reminder...please drink responsibly...even your water! Drinking too much water, especially in a short period of time can actually be harmful:

1.Ingesting more water than you need can increase your total blood volume. And since your blood volume exists within a closed system - your blood circulatory system - needlessly increasing your blood volume on a regular basis puts unnecessary burden on your heart and blood vessels.

2.Your kidneys must work overtime to filter excess water out of your blood circulatory system. Your kidneys are not the equivalent of a pair of plumbing pipes whereby the more water you flush through your kidneys, the cleaner they become; rather, the filtration system that exists in your kidneys is composed in part by a series of specialized capillary beds called glomeruli. Your glomeruli can get damaged by unnecessary wear and tear over time, and drowning your system with large amounts of water is one of many potential causes of said damage.

So YES drink to thirst or follow the recommended daily amount(1/2 body weight in oz) but don't over do it. We don't want anyone hurting themselves to earn extra points. HTH

a challenge I am up for ! Gotta love that water!!!! I am generally pretty good with the water intake, but have been drinking more decaf tea lately instead of water. A water challenge is a great way to get that water in - thank Chantyl!!!!

Hi Jamie, I'm happy to report that I am totally on plan. I joined WW Online yesterday so today is my first full day on it--so far, so good. I am still keeping my carbs low but having the points system helps me with portion control. That's what I need right now. Last week was a wash. I earned 1 pt and my weight was up. I am enjoying being back in control, eating right and working out this week. It will probably take me a couple of weeks to undo the damage I've done as far as the weight increase goes but that's what I get for being "full o'crap" for the past two weeks.
