Hey! Yes, portions matter to me as well, and I am so carb sensitive that it doesn't take much to stall me out or knock me out of ketosis. I've had salads do it.

good morning ladies! Just a quick check in and then back to work. EAting and water have been good, still working on getting my exercise in. I will be MIA until probably Sunday, unless I can get my computer up and running or get to the library. I will do my best to check in on Friday for weigh in and post points.

Hey gang. Just checking in and reading all the great results.

I am bummed seriously this morning. Not feeling 100% and I am up 3 pounds since last Friday. What the heck? I think I am going to have to go back to my protein shakes with meat and eggs. Funny thing is my waist looks smaller and I am getting my muscle definition back in my arms. . . . going off now to sulk in a corner.

I'm with you!! I'm stuck at the same weight for the past week, I've been doing my exercise eating on plan...and trust me I know the frustration (Marl & Chantyl have had to hear it lol) but I'm still sticking with it waiting for it to move....def is frustrating...but I see the muscles in my arms coming, I'm running for longer periods of time and not feeling like I'm going to die....but that scale is stressing me....it's just easy to stay step off...leave the scale alone but it's a freakin addiction....and I'm a fiend I'm sticking with it....so hang on!!! We can do this!

Shouts out to Tyl & Marl for listening to me whine about the scale...love ya'll!

You should be really proud that your run stints are getting better for you to manage. That is awesome...esp when you didn't run at all!

Yummy chocolate shake!

Hey ladies:
I've stumbled upon a simply yummy chocolate shake with very FEW carbs.
Here goes:

4 ice cubes
2T splenda
2T S/F chocolate syrup
2T half n half
2T heavy cream

*Put everything into your blender and chop, chop, chop!
Soooo good--add a little whip cream on top and you have yourself a real treat!

Got on the scale this morning, down a pound! woo hoo...
Diane! Where are you?? Didn't see you on last night, hope all is well. How about you Lora, how are things going? Staying on track? Stay tough!
Talk soon to all-
Jamie

I know some people were asking for recipes...this is one of my faves...I don't do the pork rinds...but the Parmesan cheese works

Originally Posted by OceanDreaming View Post

Egg wash
1/2 pork rind crumbs (run through blender, food processor or just bang with rolling pin)
1/2 Parmesan cheese (powdered type, kind in green can)
Boneless/skinless chicken breast cut into 2-3 inch pieces

Mix Parmesan and pork rind crumbs together, add spices of choice (I added cayenne because I am a glutton for punishment).
Dip chicken breast pieces in egg wash then coat with Parmesan/pork rind crumb mixture. Chill in fridge for about 30 minutes.
Fry in oil of choice (I used half olive oil and 1/2 coconut oil because that's what I had) until crisp and golden brown. Lay out on paper towel lined plate to drain excess oil.

Meanwhile, in a small saucepan:
Melt 1/2 stick of butter then add
1 cup Frank's Hot Sauce (there's no substitute for this)
1-2 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
1-2 1/2 tsp Tabasco sauce
salt to taste
Simmer until hot then pour over chicken and mix well to coat.

Serve with celery and blue cheese or ranch dressing.

They are delicious!

It's simply:
1 head of fresh or frozen broccoli florets cooked in microwave then drained good
1/4 c. chopped green onions
2 C shredded cojack cheese
3/4 c. bacon bits or 1.5 c cubed ham
salt & pepper to taste
optional...2 tbls sour cream

I have made it with cauliflower, green beans and green cabbage too

Anyhow put cooked broccoli in oven safe dish
sprinkle onions over top. If using ham then add that here and mix with broccoli
sprinkle shredded cheese on top of that
then the bacon bits
bake 350 for 35-40 minutes till cheese browns

Kinda like a stuffed baked potato with no potato..

Except I nixed the lime and added shrimp....I made sure to season the chicken and shrimp so it could have some flavor!!!

Last time with the coconut I shredded the shredded coconut in my blender to make it finer and used an egg wash the pan fried it...it was gooood!!!
