It's by Greg Mortenson and David Oliver Relin.
It's a true story about a guy (Greg) promoting peace by building schools, primarily for girls, in Afghanistan and Pakistan. It's amazing what he's accomplished.

What a glorious day! No school today!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And I lost 1.4 pounds. Feeling good. But today and this weekend is a test. I am usually not as good with staying on plan when I am not at work. But like I said I have multiple levels of motivation and rewards so let's see what happens. Enjoy your day. Speaking of books. I am reading The Shack. I don't think I have ever cried this hard reading a book. It is wonderful and I am not even done yet. I am going to look into the books you all spoke of as well. However I probably won't be ab;le to get to them as my grad classes begin again tomorrow. No more readng for pleasure sadly. Where are you Glory?

Black Ice Around My Area...

...so I won't be venturing out today. I will take advantage of this and get some good workout time in.

I have all my points for staying on my food plan everyday (I think that's 7 points) and 3 points for working out 3 days. I might be confused about how to calculate my points but I think I have 10.

Jamie---My dear partner! Weigh in day is finally here. I'm down 5 lbs for the week. How are you doing today?

I hope everybody is having a great day!

Marlette, the program is the Eat Clean book by Tosca Reno. If you google her you will find her blog, website and all her books. She is an amazing woman. Overweight and depressed at 40 and then she got her sh*t together and is lean and fab now. She writes for Oxygen magazine as well and is married to Robert Kennedy the fitness publisher.

I lost weight before on her program and I think I am just going to go back to that way of eating. All I am really eating is protein and greens with the apple, oatmeal and sweet potato. I think it is around 60 carbs a day.

Well I lost only 1 pound this week but I am in the middle of my cycle so I am retaining water for sure. Funny thing is that I feel thinner. Maybe its the cla combo I am taking? Its getting rid of the belly fat.

Well I will check in later.

I must say everyone is rocking this challenge! Look at all the exercise points and all the weight lost! Amazing work!

I track mine every day in my siggy line. That way, I can't lose track. I just make a point of updating it every night before I log off.

Stacy

I havent cooked anything out of them yet. I am very happy that I bought them though. There seems to be a lot of recipes that my family will like. I will probably be getting some more of her books soon. I got the 500 recipe and the slow cooker one so far. Let me know if you get and we can try recipes and see what we like
