WOE: Atkins or just low carb in general
Start Date: June 2003
What's your name?
Julia

Where are you from?
St. Louis

Do you like to exercise?

I actually do really like it. I am struggling a little right now because we are on vacation until Jan 3rd, but my regular schedule at home includes trips to the gym.

Is this your first time losing or your 59th?
too many to count - I went from 203 to 132 and then maintained pretty well for a while, but I have let things creep up this year due to emotional eating.

What's your goal for this 8 week challenge?
to lose this extra 10-15 I've gained over the last year or so

What are you going to do to ensure you reach this goal!?!?
I really need accountability! I also could use an individual buddy.....I do better that way

What's your name?
Jamie

Where are you from?
Michigan

Do you like to exercise?
Not really, I know I have to do it because as you said, I want to look good naked!

Is this your first time losing or your 59th?
OMG... Not the first time that's for sure. At my lowest I've weighed 148 at my highest was 235. I now weigh 210 and want desperately to weigh 150-160!

What's your goal for this 8 week challenge?
To be able to look at myself in the mirror and feel good without even losing weight. To know that I am eating healty to live a healthy life.

What are you going to do to ensure you reach this goal!?!?
I need to be held accountable, feel like I'm not the only one going through this and keep telling myself that this isn't a quick fix. I didn't become overweight overnight so the weight won't come off overnight and I'm o.k. with that.

*I am very new to this kind of forum. I'm not sure how to really surf through all this, I probably won't be able to find my way back to you guys! LOL....

I loved that about him, too! When I was in California, I worked for a radio station, and part of my job was to do things out in the community. Once I went to a dinner party hosted by the Salvation Army. It was held in a gorgeous ballroom at the Nixon library and A.C. was the guest speaker. That was fun!

You are not all that.

"runs really really far"

So check it out ~

Our bank was gobbled up by SAFE Credit union and so I go to run a few miles yesterday ( since I joined this thread and don't wanna get beat up by C. ) and they said NOPE. Membership suspended for non payment.

WTH??

The automatic w/d for dues monthly, was stopped due to the bank merger. I was so mad.

So now I owe for two months and will go in today to clear things up. I asked why the club did not call me when they couldn't take my payment out last month. Their response:

"someone should have"

Wow.

First day of workout immediately after as soon I leave the sitter. I found a 1 hour video by Jillian Michaels of BL, I watched and did some of it last night, (and my son was so gleeful joining me) and I can tell it's gonna kick my butt, but I'm ready ready ready.

Today's Menu (probably won't change much fromd day to day while induction--I dont' get bored when on plan)

Breakfast: 2 hardboiled eggs, water
Lunch: hamburger patty, 1 cup green beans w/bits of bacon, water
Dinner: hamburger patty, lettuce and cucumber, possibly cheese or 2tbsp ranch dressing (2 carb)

Hi everyone, I'll check back in later!

That sucks Marie! I have to look at my budget to decide if i can afford a membership at the Y with an indoor track (its just too cold to run outside here).

Great Job Dessa, My nickname (chantillian) was inspired by Jillian LOL. I love her, but she doesn't play around. Enjoy your workout.

Oh wow lots of activity.

Jamie, welcome and you will find that you subscribed to this thread in the user tools at the top of the page. You will find us that way.

I love the NBA too. Who doesn't love sports where the muscular men are running around but my first love is football now.

Jenger I must say your Mom is very creative and I love your name.

Dessa, I love the fact your son is exercising with you. Way to be a good example.

Well better get back to work. . .

When you don't feel like working out or don't want to eat on plan, you just SUADI. Feel free to post your SUADI moments throughout this challenge.

Here's hoping there's room for one more! I leave for a vacation on Feb 24th, so the timing is perfect.
I started on Monday with hard core induction. I am an "experienced" low carber I've managed to not gain any weight the past four years, but I'm not losing either. I saw 140 in September but have since gained 15 back. Ugh, all that hard work back on my butt.
I am very determined to hit it hard and lose 20 before I go away.

Well I am glad someone asked what SUADI was because I thought everyone was making a typo and wanted to go to the middle east. LOL.

Hey Lisa, sounds like we are doing similar plans except I am doing three shakes a day and a meal.

I start full tilt on that program on the 1st. Right now I am just eating low carb.

What's your name? Rachel

Where are you from? Victoria, BC, now Langley, BC, Canada

Do you like to exercise? I like the way I feel after I exercise

Is this your first time losing or your 59th? Somewhere in between

What's your goal for this 8 week challenge? 20 lbs - I want to be able to wear shorts on my vacation! Goal weight is 135.

What are you going to do to ensure you reach this goal!?!?
1. DWF – Drink water first! And get a minimum of 10 glasses water each day.
2. Stay on plan (my version of VLC/Atkins/IF/and a week or two of Stillmans if need be).
3. Exercise 5 days per week minimum. Lunchtime walks when it's not raining.
4. Log in here and ****** and be accountable!

Anything else you'd like to add....feel free
I’m Canadian, so hockey is my sport! And air racing & nascar. Sports I actually do include skating, skiing, and horseback riding, though I lost my best friend of 20 years this summer - my mare Jag. I haven't got another horse yet, not sure if I will anytime soon.
