I know you will Magismom! I fight this battle all the time as well. I only post my lowest weights. I am at my siggy weight today though and intend to lose! Yay! I'm on meat and egg the past 4 days and may stay on it for awhile.

Good morning! I'm finally back down 1.4 lb., so I got to change my siggy. Starzmom, I'm literally a lb. behind you!
That said, I don't know if it'll hold, only because I might not adhere to the Fast 5 over the weekend. But, I'll be keeping it low carb, of course, so we'll see how it affects this new low. |

Good for you vanilla! We are close, so close!
Magicsmom, meat and egg seems to be the only way for me to lose lately. So I'm staying on meat and egg today. Tommorrow I may have some GG Scandinavian bran crackers and some splenda sweetened pickles. Big treat! ![]() |

We're going to dinner at Outback tomorrow. At first, I was going to order Alice Springs Chicken, but I changed my mind. I'm going to have shrimp without veggies. One thing good about meat and eggs is that it doesn't take much to fill me up.

I think the others will, but I won't. I have 11.5 pounds to go, and I can't manage that in two weeks. I'll take it by the end of the year. That works for me.

Well you never know... but sounds like you have the right attitude! As long as the scale keeps going down, even if just a little at a time, we must be doing something right...

Very true. We went out tonight for our birthday dinners and I had two appetizers - Shrimp that was grilled, and shrimp that was stuffed with crab. I fought the urge to get a margarita. I've heard that Outback margaritas are awesome. I'll have another chance to get one. I just didn't want to go off plan for it.

I blew it. I own it. I did it. I had every intention of staying (mostly) on track at a Sunday lunch after church. Did well with the meal - meat, salad, lots of veggies. I chose one dessert to have. Finished and was happy with myself. Then my DH brought a little plate heaped with desserts - which is rare for him as he typically isn't a sweet freak like moi. I thought, okay .. one bite of this and one bite of that. Before I knew it, I'd polished off the cheesecake and the lemon cheesecake square. That evening lead to more carbs. Although I got right back with my Fast 5 yesterday, the damage is up a little over 2 lbs. I know it's water and it'll come back off although it'll probably take all week. One good thing - my tummy felt
yesterday from all the sweets. Made me realize that although I'll never lose my sweet tooth, the lc treats are much better for me (okay, did that make sense?) So .. I doubt I'll make it by November. But one thing I did realize. I mentioned to my sister that it had taken me 2 months to lose 10 lbs. Then it dawned on me. So what? It's take me 2 years to lose almost 25 lbs. But if it takes another 2 months to lose 10 more lbs., that'll be just that much more that I've lost. So. I did it. I own it. I'll not complain about it, but keep trucking on.

vanilla...Sorry about Sunday! Yeah we all do it. Recently it's been trying to make me cave but I'm just not faced with a plate of temptations like you were.
My good news is I'm down to 202. Been on meat and egg for 8 days now and planning to do the rest of this month. I just might make it this month but then again if I don't I will not give up. |

vanilla, that's what happens to me. The "kiss of death" thing kicks in and no way can I stop with one bite of something. It doesn't happen - ever. And once I've blown it for the day, I may as well go ahead and have [whatever] for the rest of the day. I'm so much better with complete abstinence.
The scale is UP for me today. And I don't deserve it. I've been eating meat and eggs for at least the past four days. I have to go weigh in at the gym today, and I'm really upset that my weight is up.

I'm on plan too, and I gained water weight from my birthday dinner at Outback on Sunday. Geez, can you imagine how bad it would have been if I'd gone off plan?

Hello! Haven't posted because there's no news yet! I actually was up a lb. more than I reported (my math was obviously off).
I had a slight headache Tuesday and Wednesday - I must be more sensitive to carbs than I ever thought. Although the weight has not gone back down yet, I felt myself again yesterday - tummy feels flatter, pants a tad baggy, etc. I've been on plan with Fast 5/lc (and eating a bit more fat) and even managed to exercise 3 days. I'd read where it takes some people 1-3 weeks to get back down. Why am I not surprised that'll probably be me? ![]() Magicsmom - Happy Belated Birthday! ![]() Starzmom - I anticipate seeing you announce your entrance into Onderland any day now! ![]() Last edited by vanilla_latte; 10-23-2009 at 01:37 PM.. vanilla...It's slow going for me as well. I'm on plan though and not giving up! I really am determined to get to Onederland this year. I'm also not going off plan for the holidays as that will definitely add weight to my bones. No gaining and then resloving to get off the holiday bloat in January. That wastes too much time and it's not happening this year.

Hi, I'm jumping in with you guys!
I'm at 209. I'm actually hoping to get to Onederland by November, but I'll DEFINITELY be there by the end of the year. I'd love to watch you guys and cheer you on. BTW, I'm not low carbing. I have some medical issues, so for now I'm doing calorie restriction and will eventually transition to intuitive eating, which works much better for me than low carb. Keep on keepin' on, everyone! It's a goal worth reaching!! |

Welcome Talitha! Congrats on the weight loss so far and I'm sure you'll definitely be residing in Onderland by the end of the year. I'm an extremely slow loser and when I chose to eat carbs - or when they somehow attack me outa nowhere
- it makes the loss go the other way for a week or so. But, we never give up!Starzmom - Kudos for already planning to stay on plan for the holidays. Despite this week's unplanned carb overdo and the resulting .. results, I know I will probably enjoy the one day within reason and do plan to make some lc subs for me. I tried making a lc pecan pie (my absolute favorite of holiday desserts!) and it was . I discovered Jody's Pumpkin Bake and that is definitely on the list as well as the Peanut Butter Fudge in the kitchen section. I don't like the lc crusts and if I can find a pecan pie recipe w/o a crust, that would be awesome. Good news - I'm down 1.8 lbs. Have a wonderful day!! |

We're pretty close to onederland, that's for sure! I think we can do it by the end of the year for sure. Congrats on your weight loss!It took me the whole week to lose the water weight I gained eating out at Outback. At least my feet don't look puffy anymore. It made me so mad, I nearly dropped out of the Biggest Loser contest at the gym. I never did join it to win, but for the added accountability to get me through the holidays. It really ticked me off to have to throw two bucks into the kitty because of that water weight. Seriously. It still makes me mad to think about it. |
