Here we are a new month and the sun is shining.. It is a bit cool today.. But netcha it is warmer than New Brunswick..Hope this month is kind to us.. May we be lighter at the end... Hey that girl on Biggest loser ate 4 mini cupcakes and still lost 11 pounds.. And she cannot excersise..?? I would take that for sure.. But I will take any loss .. I am on my way out the door.. It is cold in my kitchen. I am all bundled up and ready to go downstairs to take care of my mom. I just finished my coffee so I am going down right now.

Good morning Angels. Hope this is a good month for all of us also. Started out pretty good for me. I got my license renewed so have not got to worry about that for another 5 years. I went to the office where my friend Joe works, but they gave me to another woman and I went ahead and worked with her and got them without any help from my friend. He did not even recognize me since I had not seen him since David died. I said hey to him on the way to get my picture took and he came over and was talking to me. Then he called Heather and told her I was okay and I did good and gave me a hug. He used to be Heathers boss when she worked at walmart many many years ago. He introduced her to Jeremy. And he also got her the job at the library. Then he left to be a drivers license person. Now she runs the library. I was so scared. I worry about the day I wont be able to drive anymore and will have to be dependant on someone else. I love the freedom of being able to jump up and get in my car and go when the notion strikes me. And I think it would be terribe to have my wings cut. I dread that day so much. And I know I have to make peace with it, because it is going to come, sooner or later. I pray it is not sooner, but we never know. I could get up to go to the bathroom and have a stroke or heart attack and that would be it. So I just have to be thankful for every day the Lord gives me that I can get out of bed and walk and talk and act like yesterday. Praise the Lord. I called Janie when I got back because she had left a message for me about a singing tomorrow night. And we decided to go to get fish for lunch. Oh so good. I had never been to this place but will go back again if possible. I got flounder and she got trout. They have fish for sale. You can buy it or they will cook it for you right there. Busy place also. I went to Amys last night after work and stayed with the kids. James did not come home so about 12:30 I went to bed and went to sleep. got up at 5:00 this morning and came home. I had taped Greys anatomy and private practice so I watched them and then got ready to go. So I think it might be time for a nap. According to my time and dates, no one else has posted today. Evon, congratulations on not only getting your license renewed but on being the first one to post today.
I could have sworn I posted this morning. We all know how that goes!!! It's happened to all of us.
Ron and I just got home. We went out for lunch and then we went to get our flu shot. Not the swine flu shot, just the regular one I get each year.
I hope none of us or our loved ones get that darn swine flu.
They say if you're over 24 you have a natural immunity to it because we had a swine flu in the 70 or 80 so we have been exposed to it. So if you got it at that time you have an immunity to it and if you didn't get it last time you probably won't get it this time either.
I don't know if that's true but that's what my SIL told me and she is a nurse.
Tomorrow we are all going to Ted's Montana Grill to celebrate Brock's 32nd birthday. Jillian is so excited to be going back to see the buffalo.
She started something new this week. She thinks she's a teacher. She'll be looking at her book and will point to a picture and if it's a monkey she'll say monkey, then she'll turn to her mom or day and say... say it, Monkey!!!!
She is such a cute and smart little chicken.

Went to visit with Janie and had dinner with her. The singing she thought was tomorrow night, was actually tonight. Just got back. They are having another tomorrow night but it is a different group. We are going to that one too. The one tonight was outside at the train station. And the trains came. It was a pretty good sing, but unusual. Rescue squad had to come and pick up this guy. i thought he was full of the spirit and then he decided he wanted to be part of the group. So he went up there while they were singing. They stopped and prayed for him but that was not enough. He wanted to sing with him, so they tried to let him, but he was either drunk or full of dope or something. They finally got 2 people who escourted him back to his seat. He sat there a while and then for some reason, he got up and started running. Tripped over his own feet, and fell flat on his face. Broke his glasses and his nose was bleeding. He had passed out. Everybody wondered if he was breathing, and the guy said yeah so they ended up calling the rescue and the cops got there before the rescue. Just before they got there, he woke up and was trying to get up. When the cop came up, he asked the cop if he was going to shoot him. He told him, no, we are trying to help you. They finally escourted him to the rescue and put him on a gurney and strapped him down. so they started to sing again, and then here comes the amtrak train, and stopps right there beside us. They asked the conducted how long they would be there and he said just for a minute. So they finally left, and they started singing again. By that time, 2/3 of the people had left. They were also talking about the guy I told yall about last weekend,who had the motorcycle wreck and was brain dead. He had his 11 year old son on the back of the bike. He did not die, but had several broken bones. I had not heard that. Got to work tomorrow from 8 til 5 so think about me.

Jan, that is a cute story about jillie. She is going to be a mess. The 1st kid is usally so smart. Hope yall have a good celebration tomorrow. I had not heard that about the flu. But hopefully it will give some immunity. Did you ever try to take vitamin b for your foot? It really helped mine. Going to get ready for bed. See you late late tomorrow or Sunday.

Evon, that's a sad story about that poor guy. I hope he gets some help and gets his life straightened out.

It is a cloudy day.. Really poured this morning.. I thought the sprinklers were running.. I got all my pills ready for the week.. And now I am ready for work.. I got a $ 20 gift certificate for the store last week.. So did Emjile.. Now I have $40 to spend.. I did get a few things last week.. But I don't really need much.. Unless they get some nice pants for the Winter with pockets.. Oh and maybe some craft things I could use to make other things for the bazaars.. I took a picture of the last thuings I made.. But the pictures are not that good.. I kniow how to send them with my phone now.. But I am going to cancel them going to facebook.. I think they got lost and it is costing me $.25 each for them to get sent.. Hoping you all have a great weekend.. Becky , you must be busy .. Not hearing much from you lately.. Love the little ones.. Claire, It's going to be a wed day today. We're taking Brock and his family out for his birthday to see the buffalo at Ted's. We will need umbrellas for sure.
I'm sure you'll get a lot of things with your $20 gift certificates. That will be fun money to spend. Don't work too hard today and stay dry.

Well I just wanted to check in. I have to help my aide with my mom this morning. We are slacking off. Just because Lynn is on vacation, that doesn't give the rest of us 2 weeks off from posting.

Today is Brock's birthday so to my baby! He'll always be my baby. He gets embarrassed when I say that but it is true.
Now he has a beautiful little baby of his own and he knows a whole new kind of love that he never knew before.
He loves his little Jillian so much. He is a wonderful dad.

So where are all of you and what have you been up to? I'll check in later to see if anyone gets in here to post.

I did think that I had posted this weekend.. I really did nothing but crafting and cooking.. Nothing special.. Mandy came ior supper last night. Then Emiole took her to dance.. They are preparing for their recitall.. One of mt favorite things.. Yea sure.. I hate going there to watch all these little kids almost break their necks doingf gymnastics.. Mandy does not do that anymore thank God..
I hope Lybb is enjoying her cruise.. It must be a bit chilly up there..
Jan, I really did a booboo last evening.. I took my white glue bottle in the playroom to fill.. Emptied the larger bottle into it.. Come to find out I had emptied my bottle of white gloss paint into the 1/2 empty glue bottle.. Now the whole thing is spoiled and I am out a bottle of white gloss paint.. Now I have to get to Woon. to get a new supply of each.. Dumb thing to do..Emile said I am trying to do too many things at once..
Becky, are you still baking those cakes.. I think I am going to make a few pumpkin breads.. Emile won't be able to have any. Unless I try to tweak the recipe and make it Gluten Free.. ..I have to get to Whole Foods to get some supplies for him.. I lo9ve to change a recipe for him.. He gets so happy to have something that almost taste normal to him.. Evon, are tyou keeping yourself busy and out of trouble lately.. That's what Emile says to the girls at my6 store.. Claire, Chalk up that paint and glue incident to a senior moment. I do things like that all the time and I blame it on trying to do too many things at the same time. My mind is never fully on one task because I'm always thinking about something else that I have to do also.
Speaking of paint we have to get out and buy paint for our two front doors before it gets too cold to paint them.

Well thanks for posting Claire, I was getting a complex that nobody wanted to talk to me. Now I know that at least you love me.

JOhn is in Chicago tonight and will be home late Thursday night. He went there for management training. He found out about it last last week, even though he drove, it was too late for me to take off to go... darn it. He would be in classes til late, but it would have been neat to meet one of my bridesmaids (she lives in Peoria) and another lady I met over on the Shorties thread (she lives in Decatur) for lunch. I met the lady in Decatur about a month after Mom's accident, she was coming through Dayton and stopped, we had lunch at Red Lobster, it was nice and she was a lot of fun.

Talk to you all later, going to bed... I'm getting to darned old to worry about JOhn on the road. Darn it!!!

I have been having a problem today.. My Windows keeps closing.. DCon't know why They say it is to protect my PC.. I have not been doing much of anything on it ..Maybe it is lonesome.. Hee hee.. I did get mu white glue at the do9llar tree.. But now I still have to get a large bottle of white paint.. I use that a lot when doing crafting.. Well I did it again.. I went to bed with the intention of watching biggest loser.. Fell asleep right before it started.. Never saw any part of it.. I will check online a see if they have the replay.. NBC is usually good for that.. Hey I hurt my back today.. Don't know what I did but I am really hurting.. Wi8ll try to go back to bed and see if I can get more comfortable then here.. Jan, when I went to work on Monday, Jeff came in and said, I need for you to go to lunch at 4:00. I said, "if I am going to lunch 2 hours after I come in, might as well not come until 3. So he asked Beatrice, and then yesterday, marie called and said to come at 3:00. so we did. I think it is better. Atleast it saves the gas to go and come at lunch and it saves me having the chance to buy something I dont need to eat. Beas mom was cooking chicken last night, so Jazzy brought us some. it was so good. I told Bea if we win the lottery we will have to take care of Mom. We will build her a house with a big kitchen, and she can cook for us all the time.

I have been so lazy lately. I sleep til 10 and then cant go to sleep at night. Never got comfortable in the bed after I did go to bed, so finally came back in here and slept in my recliner til 7 this morning. Then came back in here at 8:30 and went back to sleep. Til Janie called and woke me up. Then got up and was on the way to the grocery store at 10. Came back and cooked sausage and eggs and made a cup of coffee. Then quit again.

Since I am losing money not working but 7 hours a day, I might get rid of my computer. I have checked everywhere to get high speed, but it dont come out here. And if I get rid of internet and my phone, it will make up for losing my hours, with the saving gas not coming home at lunch. I am never here anyhow, so might as well. I like to tape stuff, like the biggest loser, and today my vcr quit. So I unplugged and then plugged it in another surge protector and it works, So decded to take it in the bedroom. And it worked fine in there, except, the end connector thing had fallen off, so had to come back in here and get it and put it back on. So will tape in there tonight. I guess i better get another one, soon. Maybe my birthday. Have a great day.

Hi Girls, we finally got the pool covered. It wasn't easy with just the two of us but we did it. We were dodging the rain too. It was pouring at times. So we'd come back in the house and chill till it stopped and then we'd go back out there. It is officially done now. All we have to do is put away the patio furniture and the grill for the winter and find a place in the cellar for all the pool stuff.

Becky, I'm so happy you bought yourself some nice birthday gifts. That was very sweet of you!
Are you going to make one of your special cakes for your birthday too?

Evon, what will happen to us if we can't hear from you anymore. That would make us all so sad. Could you cut out something else? We sure do hate to lose you. We'll have to stay in touch by snail mail or telephone.

Claire what did you and Emile do today? I'm sure you did a few crafts. It was a perfect day for it with the rain on and off all day.

It is rather windy out here.. I had a problem with my Pc ...Again.. My cursor kept freezing up.. Can't use it when that happens.. So I shut it down and cut out some toy soldier heads to make magnets out of them fior the holidays.. I made about a half dozen of them.. Becky, Three more days and how old will you be?? Baby.. Jan, we had an easy day today.. Had nothing to put away except my large potted Rose of Sharon tree.. The wind had already blown it over.. We did not take any furniture out this year at all.. We do have a couple of trees to watch at the edge of the woods.. They are full of leaves and a bit rotted in the middle.. They could snap..

Claire, I will be 53 on Saturday. Don't know what we're doing yet, it's Homecoming time here and the restaurants are packed on Saturday night, i'm hoping we can go early before the kids start packing in. I love to see them all dressed up though, miss that with Kim, how we use to shop for her Homecoming things.... and prom time too. SInce I got myself the jersey I really don't want anything. The next Tinkerbell movie comes out on DVD October 27, so I am looking forward to getting that and watching it with Alyssa.

Alyssa is spending Friday night with us, that's what I wanted for my birthday, to have a sleepover with Lyss. I'm excited about it.

John is in Chicago, he gets home sometime tomorrow night, i miss him, he just left yesterday but I like it when he's home.

53... I can't remember when I was 53... You are a baby.. Hey enjoy.. Homecoming.. I meant to tell you.. A couple of weeks ago I watched a show on TV about tornadoes in Ohio.. I told Emile it was where you once lived.. It showed the mothers going to daycare and having to stay there because of the storm.. Wow it was scary for sure.. .. Hope you have a happy day Sat. We will have Mandy Sat. I am thinking of having her come to the store for 3 hours with me.. SWhe was supposed to in the Summer.. But it flew by and we didn't get there during the week..

I am off on Saturday and sunday Claire. I have to work around the 20th of november on that saturday and then finished with saturdays til next year. Madison will be coming to spend the day with me on Saturday. We are supposed to go to Garner for an auction with Barbara, where Heather will meet us. I was still sore this morning so I just went shopping instead of putting all the patio furniture away. Just didn't want to do all that lifting and dragging everything inside. Ron was happy I postponed it till the weekend.
Tomorrow I have a volunteer worker from Hospice to stay with my mom for a couple of hours so Ron and I are going out.

Claire, your craft pictures are really nice. Everything you make is so beautiful.
I keep saying that I am going to donate to your store and I never get a chance to get my stuff in boxes. I will take some clothing to you soon though. I promise.
I can't say I'm not enjoying this beautiful weather. I love it when it's just cool enough to wear a sweater or a light jacket.

Becky, I'm just a little over 10 years older than you are. I'll be 64 in December. Not funny at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Shannon read your post about your birds. It was so funny. You have so many birds. I didn't remember you saying that one of them was named after your dad. That's so nice that you did that. Your dad must watch over that bird.
I hope Gracie feel better soon. It must be very painful for her to have a UTI at such a young age. I will pray for her till she is well. Poor little baby!

Becky stomps foot at Chaire... I am NOT a baby. Lol. Well... Like I told Kim today... Somedays I feel 53, some days I feel 63... And some days I feel 33, just depends on the day.

Yep Jan... 11 birds (6 cockatiels, 3 parakeets and 2 conures (parrots). 2 cats )Guine and Merlin)... 1 siberian hamster (Snickers) a goldfish tank (5 gal that sits on my vanity in the bathroom_, 10 gal tank with 3 frogs and a 75 gallon with 1 albino oscar, 3 catfish (one I had in our house in Xenia, he's a striped talking catfish, he barks!!! We've been in this house 21 yrs in Nov and I got him the summer before that!!!)

Claire, our 1st house was in Xenia, it was 5 yrs old when we bought it, it was one that had been leveled by the Xenia tornado of 74. We bought it in 1981. Kim is about 3 blocks from that house, she was 6 when we moved to Bellbrook.

It's raising, supoose to have tortentia (sp?) Downpours, 2-4" of rain by tomorrow night. About 3 hours ago John was 35 miles east of Indianapolis, and he said there's rain coming from way behind him!!! That's all the rain that we will be getting!

Hope that Lynn had a great trip and that her Dad is improving!

Evon, what's your weather like??? Want some rain? I'"l ship it to anyone that wants it... In BUCKETS.

Got some cool glass jars with lids from WalMart yesterday for my 30 day fruit. I want to make some cakes for Christmas presents.

It is nice a quiet right now at 1:49 in the evening.. Been sleeping .. Got up to go to the john and here I am vhecking my mail.. Won't be here too long.., My feet are already getting cold. I DO have slippers but to lazy to bend under the bed to fetch them.. Will pick up a new pair and leave them under the desk.. Then I will walk off with them and they will end up under the bed.. Like my glasses always end up back in the bedroom..
I just got an email from my friend from Florida.. She is cioming up to RI Wed. for 10 days.. She is going to Ma. for a class reunion.. She wants to go out before next weekend. with my DD Lori.. She is her godmother.. So we shall see..
Becky and Evon have birthdays coming.. Guess they want to catch up with me.. You all have a ways to go foir that to happen..
Jan, I went to Job Lot with Emile this week.. I came home and had to take a couple of Tylenol with codeine to kill the pain in my back.. No joke getting old.. Of course the weight doesn't help either..

Good morning everyone,

Claire your tootsies must have gotten very cold under your computer last night.
My computer sits kitty-corner right between my four huge front windows and my side window in the living room. I freeze while I'm on my computer in the winter. I'm always wrapped up in a blanket with sever layers of clothing on and I'm still cold. There's poor insulation in this house I think.
My living room and bedroom face the north so those are the two coldest rooms in the house.
My kitchen is pretty cold too though because we have the unheated garage on one wall and the unheated porch on the other wall.
Actually not that I think of it my whole house is cold in the winter.
I keep the thermostat as low as I can because I keep my mom's so high and my heating bills are huge.
Well I hope you got back to sleep last night. I hope your back feels better this morning too.

Becky only one more day to enjoy being 52 years old. I hope you have a wonderful birthday weekend. With lots of nice surprises and love from your whole family.
How is Gracie feeling this morning? Have you heard from Kim yet? I hope she feels much better.

Evon, I enjoyed that email you sent this morning. How did life get so complicated. We always had more time to relax and have fun back then.
I feel bad that our little one are growing up in such a hectic world. It's like even the kids have anxiety problems.
If only we could get some of that comforting family time back! Everyone is running in a different direction these day.

I hope Lynn is having a great time. She should be home in a few days.
