Hi Girls, I didn't think I'd be able to use my computer this morning but Shannon old laptop was fixed so she is in her room working.
I am so cold this morning. I don't know if we're going to get rain but it is very cloudy and damp.
My mom is feeling better this morning. I only heard her cough when she first woke up this morning about 8:00. It was a good cough and that was it.
I fed her some oatmeat with applesauce and peaches this morning and she ate the whole bowl so that is a good sign.
She got her flu shot yesterday. The nurse said as long as she didn't have a fever she could get it. She didn't hear any fluid in her lungs so she thinks she just has a head cold.
That's what I thought too because of her stuffy nose and she sounded like she had a sore throat when she coughed.
Scott's two little ones, Gracie and Brendan had fevers and sore throats and were both coughing yesterday.
I'll have to call Heather this morning to see if they're feeling better. I hope they don't have the flu.

Claire, make sure to sit on moist heat all day today and it will pop. You could put a wet face cloth in the microwave and when it is warm....not scalding put it in a ziplock bag and wrap it in a thin piece of cotton and sit on it. As it cools, heat it up again. I had one of those a few months ago and it popped it. Then make sure you get all the junk out of it or it will come right back. They are so gross. I hope you feel better in time for your lunch.
Have a nice day today!!!

Lynn, so glad your dad is feeling better. I've realized with my own mom that every time she would get really sick she would never come back to as good as she was. They lose a little ground which each bout of sickness they have. The thing that really did her in was a really bad UTI. Those are so hard to get rid of and do a number on their frail systems.
The UTI is what made her become bedridden.
My mom is feeling better. She is a very strong woman dispite how tiny and frail she has become. She still is a cute as a button.
She hasn't spoken in several days though so we may not hear her voice again. That makes me sad. I used to love to hear her say "Yup" when we asked her a question. And when we were doing something that was uncomfortable to her or something she didn't like she would say, "Hey, hey, hey!"

Becky, I hope the baby is feeling good today? When do you expect to hear the results of the tests that they did on her yesterday. I am praying so hard that they come back negative and she won't need surgery. She is so tiny.
Shannon's friend's baby had surgery at 2 1/2 months old for a stomach problem. He did so well and was home in 2 days. It's amazing what they can so with such small little babies and how quickly these babies get better.

Evon, Did you have a good night at work? I hope the crazy people were too busy watching TV to call you last night.
Well remember the 100 day challenge that I started last month, well it kind of fell to the wayside. I gained back the 6 pounds I had lost. Maybe I will try to start that again. I'm disgusted with my weight.
I have to go to my cardiologist and I'm so embarrased about going.
I'm going in 5 weeks so that doesn't give me enough time to really lose a substantial amount of weight.

Well I have to go. I have a lot to do today. Have a great day!

Claire, it is day, but not bright or sunny. I did take a walk this morning. Not raining. but I did hear it during the night. Pam wanted to go to walmart, but I did not think that was a good idea, in the rain, so came home and watched dancing with the stars. I was a little dissappointed in all of them last night. They did ok, but at 6 weeks, you expect more than ok.

Jan, will see you when you can get here. I dont get on often either. Been busy this morning. I know you take care of your Mom. Very good care. But if you need to say anything at all to her, now is the time. Because unless the Lord comes, all of us have a death coming. It is not a bad thing, but it is not pleasant to those we leave behind. And we never know who will be next. In your family, it may not be your Mom. So we need to appreciate and pray for all of our family members daily. We are here for you though. Whoever, whenever, whatever.

Lynn, I cant imagine 4 miles. I used to could but that was 20 years ago. Not now. I am so proud of you. sounds like you had a busy weekend also, otherwise. Isnt it wonderful to be able to get up and go. So many people cant or wont. But I plan to go as long as possible. Might need a new battery though.

I talked to someone in Ct last night and he said the cold had not come back to Ct. Are yall cold? When I went to walk, i had on my tee shirt.

Hi Ladies,

I am so glad I thought to get online.. I read the post and I had forgotten to call in the reservation for the 15-20 people for the luncheon.. I went down stairs and found these Wooden quitarsd and banjos .. I decorated them with tiny clusters of pinecones and ribbons.... Put some jewel where the fingers go on the necks and strung them with green cord.. Will try to take pictures but they have been comihng out so dark.. But I think they will sell for the holidays .. I haven't decided whether to keep them for the store or give them foir our church bazaar.. IOne bazaar was lkast week.. The girl said she sold everything I donated.. That's all I wanted is for them to make some money..
Well ladoes glad to hear that your families are feeling better.. I am still praying for them.. Love you all.. Claire

Lynn, I'm so sorry your mom and dad couldn't get the shot. I will keep trying to find someplace that has them. They are supposed to be coming to RI in November so I will keep my eyes and ears open and let you know if I find some.
I hope you have a great time in Texas for Halloween. Bruce is very funny! Is that really a costume or was he just joking!

When will you be leaving? How long did you say you will be staying with them?

Claire, Glad you got a reminder to make that reservation for your luncheon.
Your guitars and banjos sound so cute. I'm sure they will cell. Try to take the picture anyway. We would love to see it!
We all appreciate your prayers and love you too!

Evon, glad you got a walk in this morning. I'm going to be able to start soon.
I talk to my mom constantly when I'm with her. I don't know if she understands what I'm saying to her but I just keep talking. Jenny talks to her too.
It's still cold and very damp outside..........actually inside too! \

Becky, I'm going over to FB to see if you posted over there. Have a good night. Did you get your 2 copies of the Tinkerbell movie today.
You are probably watching it right now!!!

Good night everyone, sleep tight.

Yes Jan... U will see on Facebook that I DID get Tink! Alyssa and I watched it twice. Lol. I got Alyssa/Gracie a copy to take home, Alyssa was so excited that she got to take a Tinkerbell home.

Gracie's kidney tests came back normal. They're still culturing her urine sample. I wonder if poor Gracie objects to us talking about her personal problems. Lol. Thank YOU so much for everybody's prayers for our girl!!!

You're right jan, you guys are the ones I can vent to, confide my worries to and I know u will give me good advice and still love me. you 4 ladies are very important to me and I thank God for sending you all to me!!!

Better go to bed. Did anyone watch Biggest Loser tonight? My favorite one went home and were STILL stuck with Tracey!!!

Toodles, nity night, Angels!

hey my friends

Definitely have to pack today-first it is internet and Facebook and than Curves-must get my priorities in order ROFLMAO It is raining here and I had planned to take the dogs for a nice walk today and tomorrow-I hate putting them in the kennel without getting lots of exercise first. I know they love it there-they are always wagging tehir tales as they enter and happy to see Deb and the others, they get exercise time there along with ice cream and cookie parties-not such a bad deal for them Gotta get moving girls-hope you all have a good day!!

Jan-my parents were so greatful to you when I told them it was an online friend who shared the information about the flu clinic-they were surprised that someone from the computer would care enough to do that-they don't know the Angels!!!! We are staying at Dawn's house for five days-leaving Friday morning and getting back next Tuesday. Just a joke about the costume for Bruce-but he did get us laughing when he told us that would be his costume

Claire-the show last night was good-kind of sad when Abby had to go home-she had gone through so many tough things in her life-having her entire famly killed like that in a car accident-I thought that someone else would buck up and let her stay but they made her bite the bullet

Becky-what wonderful news about the baby's test results!!!! You folks must be relieved!! I liked Abby also-she is one tough woman for sure-I don't think I could make it through losing both my children and hubby like that

Evon-hope you had a good night last night and that work goes well for you

Thanks Lynn, it was a good night. Bev worked with me. She said she got more work done when she works nights. That is because no one was calling. Guess all were watching Biggest loser or dancing with the stars. Know you will have a great trip to texas. We are warming up again, so better take your shorts.

Claire, glad you got all your stuff sold. Hope they makes lots of money. Bev is making these glass boxes with christmas lights in them and a pretty bow. She is enjoying that. But she got news from Social security yesterday that they will withhold her nov-feb checks, because she has made too much money this year. Have you ever heard of such a thing? I knew they took back 1/2 of it or something, but did not expect them to do it like that.

Jan, glad your mom is feeling a little better. She could greatly improve. Is Shannon enjoying working at home? Hope things are going good with her. It is our slow season. I only got 3 orders yesterday and Terri came over and said she only had 2 credit card problems yesterday. I got one of them and updated last night. Woke up with a headache.

Becky, glad Gracies kidneys are okay. Hope they find out and fix the problem.

Gotta run. Have a great day.

Good morning girls, There is a confirmed case of H1N1 at Hope and Gracie's school. That is terrifying to me. Brock said there is a woman who at Fidelity that has H1N1 where he works. He doesn't work in her department but one of the guys he carpools with does. Now he is worried about getting it and bringing it home to Jilly.
RI is such a small and overpopulated state that it could spread like wildfire. I am praying that will not happen.
I'm sorry I was too tired to post last night.

Lynn, you must be so excited. My cousin Elaine called that Flu Clinic back and asked them if she could get the shot is she paid for it and they said yes. So she is going with my aunt and it will cost her $29.00. Not that much money if you really are worried about not get it at a free clinic. If you are interested and no longer have the number it was: 1 800 816 9374.
Tell your parents that even though I've never met them I care about them more than they know!!!!!!!!!!!!

Evon, Shannon is enjoying working from home on Tuesday and Wednesday. She hated to go in today. The company said that if there are any confirmed cases of H1N1 at TMS they will close the office and everyone will take home their laptops and work from home.
We certainly aren't wanting that to happen but if it does it is nice to know the company cares about it's workers.
Don't work too hard tonight.

Claire, sorry you missed watching The Biggest Loser. Maybe you can get the complete episode on your computer or on Prime-time if you have Digital cable.
I hope you get to see it. Did that send that lady that all of you dislike home?

Becky, you just answered my question to Claire about who when home on the Biggest Loser. It obviously wasn't the mean girl. Those reality shows are all the same. I think they purposely keep the Witches in to make the show more interesting.
Have a great day knowing that Gracie is well and that you made Alyssa so happy with her very own Tinkerbell movie.

Have a great day everyone. My mom is about the same but no worse so I am thankful for that.

Well my friends-I am here to wish you all a Happy Halloween and the very best of All Saints Day-another month has flown by-they do pass so darn quickly it is unbelievable.
I am so looking forward to hugging that little girl tomorrow-sure do wish we lived closer but I am blessed to be able to spend some extra time with her right now and for that I will be VERY happy!!!

Jan-once again I am so darn grateful to you for all your information and help with the flu shots-I will call my Dad tomorrow and share that information with him-MANY hugs!! The spread of H1N1 is absolutely horrific-that young girl who died's Dad was an attorney-who a friend of mine had an appointment with -his secretary called and canceled their appointment and could not reschedule since the father is obviously heartsick and does not want anything rescheduled for months

Evon-glad things are warming up for you folks I am looking forward to seeing some nicer temps for a while before I come back here to the onslaught of possible winter-YUCK!!!!

Becky-can't wait to see pictures of the girls in their Halloween finest!!!

Claire-hope you had a terrific time with your friends at lunch

will chat with you all next week-stay safe my friends

Claire did you see the Y&R today. Have you heard if Victor signed his contract or not. It was like a tribute to his carreer on that show. I saw biggest loser and they send Amy home. I think that is her name. She was the one who lost her husband and 2 children. But she was ready to go home. She looks good and she is full of life again. And she has lost 80 lb. So she is going around and helping other people face tragedys in their lives. Where you been lately?

Lynn, guess you are gone and having fun now. So enjoy. We cooled off tonight, but it was nice this afternoon.

Jan, that sounds good about the business letting them go home, if someone gets sick. Were you the one who sent me the thing about the onion? I have my onion on my overhead at work. Not taking chances. Bea and I did work hard tonight. We have our weights and got some workouts in. Hey, if it stays dead, we might lose some weight. I lifted 200 times before I quit counting. Well, better go see if I can get my pjs on and get under the covers. See you later.

Hey Becky, you okay. Take care of yourself, and wash your hands often.

Morning angels....

T'is 12:57.. Do you gals remember when Your Mom made little flannel bagas and pinned them to your undershirts with pieces of camphor in them...? I loved the smell.. I don't think they sell the camphor anymore....? It was to keep the germs away.. We wore them every Winter while I was in grade school.. Of course that was back in the late "40's....LOL...
I am staying out of crowds.. Emile had to take my Lori to the DR.'s esterday.. He said the waiting room was full.. It is best to stay away from waiting rooms at this time.. Hey I have to get back to bed.. I am not very steady this morning.. I am still having a hard time sitting.. Claire

Claire, I use camphor on ant bites. Takes the string right out. I have campho phoenique and I have a generic I bought at the dollar store. I love the smell also.

Went and stayed with the kids this morning so amy could get a nap. Maddy had made a pumpkin out of a roll of toilet paper and orange paper like you put in packages. Then a little hand of straw with a bow around it. It was real cute. We played hide and seek with it. Got to run and get ready for work now. I will try to get back tonight.

Was worried about Jan all day but then I remembered about shannon using ther computer, jan, come and check in when u can so I know you're ok. What is Jillybean going to be for Halloween?

Alyssa is going to be Dorothy and Gracelynn is going to be Toto. She's wearing alyssa's kitty sleeper-style costume from alyssa's first year and hoping since its black and dark outside that it will work. I told her I wouldn't worry about it, it will be so busy (Xenia has a LOT of kids that go out cuz she's in a plat of starter homes) and I think it will be so busy people will assume she's Toto. I have a bag of goodies for them, I got Alyssa 2 halloween outfits to play dress up with, the Halloween Barbie, plastic drinking cups and sour gummy worms (she and her Daddy LOVE THEM) and Gracie is getting Teething Tablets (Kim hadn't gotten them yet and she said last week she needed to get somw on payday), a package of 2 paci's, a cute little string to keep her bottle from falling in the car or her sippy when she is old enough to use one, a cutre little teething toy (stuffed with plastic on the feet and hands), and a box of biter biscuits. I got reclclable Halloween bags that they're stuff is in and when the look to see what we got them, they can use them tonight as their candy bags.

Got to do a little shopping at Kohls for Christmas, take Mom to lunch, take her to sears to get a new stove/oven and be back here in time to go to Kims, I want to meave here by 5:15 cuz it starts @ 6 and I want to see them get their stuff before running out the door.

See ya, hope everyone has a good day, Claire, is it your back? Take care, hate when that happens and the winter hasn't even started yet! My arthritis is aweful in the winter! Evon, cute game with Maddy's pumpkin! That's very clever! Jan, hope to hear from u today!

Love my Angels!

Hi girls, It has been one tiring day. First of all my mom is sick again. I slept or should I say didn't sleep a wink downstairs last night. She was coughing non-stop all night. I felt so bad for her. Her chest must have hurt from so much coughing because she was moaning after each coughing spell.
I was in and out of the bed all night thumping on her back.
So it will be an early night for me tonight. Shannon is going to a Halloween party and will be sleeping at her friend Jenna's tonight. She is going as Medusa.
We went to see Jillian today and when I walked in the door, I held up her bag and said, "presents for Jillian" and she yelled "Happy Birthday" instead of Happy Halloweenie.
We bought her a 3 Hooked on Phonics DVD's, a pair of Sesame Street character blanket sleeper pajamas, a pair of little monkey pajamas, 2 new books and a Clifford DVD. She loved all her stuff but her favorite was the Sesame Street PJ's. She never put them down while we were there. She kept saying she was tired so she could put them on. So funny!
She had a little chicken costume. She looked so adorable. She called it her,
chicken tume!
I tried so hard to get some good pictures of her but she was so excited she was running around like a real little chicken. If she wasn't running she had her PJ's up in front of her face.
Unfortunately we didn't get to see Scott's kids because they are all sick. This is the first year since Hope was born that Shannon hasn't taken them out for Trick or Treat. They are so disappointed but we will bring them their gifts next week or as soon as they are feeling better.
Heather will take lots of pictures of them for us.
Have a great time with the kids tonight.

Claire, I'm so sorry to hear your neighbor passed away. His poor little wife must be so sad. It's so hard on the one left behind.
Shannon's boyfriend died 5 years ago today. Tomorrow she will be going to his anniversary mass tomorrow morning, then to her friend Charlene's little baby boy's Christening mass and party in the afternoon.
She will be tired for work on Monday morning.
I used to have one of those bags too. When we had a headache my grandma Carboni used to slice a potato really thin and put it in a white cloth and tie it to our forehead and it used to draw the fever out.
And if we had a bloody nose she would tie a string to our forefinger on the side the nose was bleeding.

Evon, glad you had fun with the girls this morning. That little pumpkin sounds so cute.
I hope you don't work too hard tonight. Be careful of the ghosts and goblins.

Jan, I know you are tired. I did not work today. I dont work on saturday for 3 more weeks. The week before Thanksgiving. This morning, I got up and went to Barbaras. We went to a yard sale, inside. Then took off and went to 4 oaks. That is where Amy lives. They had Octoberfest. We walked all over town. About the time we were getting ready to leave, Pam and Carol came up. But they went to visit where we had already been. We left and went to 2 flea markets. The last place we visited was Walmart, where we bought Dylans birthday present. Got him a laptop that will teach him what he needs to know to go to school. He still have 2 years, but probably needs all the help he can get. Afterwards, we went back to Barbaras and started watching a movie. In 30 minutes, the doorbell rang, and we had the 1st trick or treater. Or 3 of them. The 3 little boys from next door. They are small, like 2 3 and 4 year old. It had been raining this morning and drizzling most of the day. They wanted to get it over with before it started to rain again. But so far, no more rain. We finished the movie and then I left. Pam had called so I called her back and she was in 4 oaks. Said she was tired, so she was going home and go to bed. So then I called to see if amy was home, so I could carry the present and Dylan answered the phone, saying "I like presents." I said you want another one. And he gave the phone to Amy. So took that out there. Betty Jo came in with another and picked up Madison. So I only stayed a few more minutes and left after them. So now I am sitting here in front of the computer. Nothing on tv. Got to change the clocks. I went to the bathroom and my night light was off. So I went to get another bulb, and did not turn on the light, and the thing shocked me. I went to turn on the light and the night light had blown up. Ever heard of that?

Becky, did you have fun with the kids? did you go trick or treating with them. Did you get anything good at Kohls? Only thing I bought today was a magnetic necklace. They are supposed to be good for arthrittis, but I dont think it helps. I have been plagued with runny nose and pains, since I got my flu shot.

Claire, did you go to work? How is your problem? should have used the vicks.

Evon, glad you had a nice day today. I just woke up. I've been sleeping on the recliner since Shannon left for her party. Ron went to be a long time ago. I just pushed my clocks beck to 10:00 and now I am going downstairs to go to bed. My mom has been quiet all night so far. I have her monitor right next to the recliner and she hasn't been coughing so hopefully I will have a good night.
We didn't even have one Trick or Treater. There are no small kids left in our area. I've had the same neighbors for years and their children are all married now. So it's pretty quiet around here on Halloween. We live on a state highway anyway so the houses are not that close together for kids to walk.

Well I hope everyone is having a great Halloween. See you all tomorrow.
Good night everyone.

Good morning everyone,

For someone who supposedly got an extra hour of sleep last night, I certainly am unusually tired today. I think I'm borderline exhausted.
My mom is having a hard time breathing this morning even with her oxygen. She is sleeping but breathing very heavily. Poor little thing. I wish I could make all her problems just go away.
She won't eat or drink anything today. That's not good either.

I hope you all had a nice night last night. Shannon had a great time last night. She of course is tired this morning. She was waiting her turn in line for a bathroom last night and some silly A$$ drunk came stumbling out of the door swinging it a little too wide and hit Shannon right on the corner of her eye bone. It's all black and blue. She said it hurts so bad she thought she would have a black eye this morning, but she just has a small bruise.

Well I am going to go back downstairs and take a nap while my mom is sleeping. See you all later.

Poor Shannon. Hope her eye feels better. Did Mom ever get awake enough to eat. Hope she feels better soon. I went off with Pam after church. We were going to Olive garden, but after trying to find Kobe and not, we ended up at La Cocino. It is mexican, but I was so hungry and it was good to me. Pam even eat all of hers. But then we went to walmart and walked around it 14 times. I got some leggins, hairspray for my big hair, milk and yogurt. They gave us some energy drink and after Pam drank hers, she got to feeling bad. I had to pray for her on the way home. But the Lord touched her and she felt better by the time we got to her house. So I came home and made my 1st cup of coffee of the day. I used the end of my milk in fiber cereal last night. It is turning colder and rained on and off all day. But we had a good time. Hope you got another nap and feel better. Talk later.

Hi girls,

Evon, Shannon's eye is not that badly bruised. It hurts though, worse than it looks.
My mom is not good at all. My SIL Esther came to help me get her ready for bed. Her breathing was very fast and she was coughing a lot so she gave her a tiny dose of Morphine. She calmed down after that and is sleeping. I hope she sleeps well tonight. I already fixed my bed downstairs and as soon as I do a few things I have to do up here and take off my makeup I will go downstairs and go to bed early.
Glad you had a nice day today with Pam and I'm glad she felt better after you prayed for her.

Becky, Glad my Jillybean isn't the only one who thinks everything comes from Grandpa since he bought her that stuffed bison at Ted's Montana Grill. He gets such a kick out of it.
I posted a few pictures of Jilly on FB and I wanted so badly to post a really sweet video of her but I couldn't do it. I was so frustrated!

Claire, we didn't hear from you today. I hope everything is okay with you and Emile. Did you see your little neighbor today? I hope she'll be okay.
