~*~Let's Lose 5 9/7 - 9/13~*~

Happy short work week!

We had a great weekend except for a FSU losing in the last seconds of the game last night. I celebrated a bit too much so have a couple of pounds to work off (again! :annoyed). I'll be out of town this afternoon and tomorrow, back at work on Thursday then off to Georgia for my high school reunion.

How was everyone else's weekend?

Happy short week to you, too!

Sorry about FSU.

Clemson won.

Braves lost.

Busy with busy-work over the long weekend. Seems we have nothing to show for it, though.

Have a GREAT time at the reunion, Susan!!

Off Friday to take FIL to VA hospital in Columbia for tests.

Hi- everyone in my house - DH, BIL/SIL all gained 4 - 5 pounds over the holiday weekend and I came away with just a .5 gain. I have NO IDEA how that happened but certainly not complaining.

Survived the weekend - Mr. JackA$$ didn't show up until late on Friday so I almost had 206 days of Freedom. I didn't say one word to him, nor did his oldest bro or wife, the whole weekend. (If that doesn't send a message...). Oldest bro overheard him telling his father, "I blame my church and God for everything..." Ok, so he doesn't blame DH and I anymore (which he told the BIL visiting later as well), but now he's going to continue the blame game and instead of reflecting on himself and his wife, he's going to blame his church and GOD. Oh please....

DH always tried to bring him into conversations, he never initiated a conversation with DH and certainly not with the oldest bro. He told other relatives that his wife wasn't there because "she was helping someone move." Fine and he did say to two of the bro's that "we'll never see his wife again."

He told bro #5 that "he's over it (regarding DH and I) and he no longer blames us, his marriage is a disaster and was long before DH took a stand. He misses his brothers and what they had and the family gatherings...." It appears that pshycho has now turned on him and is blaming her husband for everything and for not standing up to the family. Must be living HE77 in that household. Her 9 year old went off on her brother and all I could think was, "Wow, you've learned well from your mother."

His son found out that we are going camping this weekend and he told him, "There is no way we are going camping, your mother will completely flip out."

We'll see him again in two weeks and I still won't say anything to him - I have nothing nice to say so I'll just keep my mouth shut.

Anyway, drank a lot, had many laughs with others and back to work - one teacher had to leave - think she was in labor. Well, have a meeting to get to, hope you all have a great short week. Renee

Okay, I'm giving myself to the end of the year... well, Dec 25 to declutter. If we don't declutter our main living areas (den, kitchen, library, my office) by that time, we are NOT going on vacation to the beach.

I'm so done.

Lisa, you have a super short week! You've had several in a row! You might get used to that!!! I de-cluttered Thursday...pest control came on Friday and I would have been sooo embarrassed if they walked in on all the newspapers on the coffee table and my bathroom was a wreck! It was nice to have the long weekend ahead of me with no housework to do!

Renee, woot woot! Drama-free weekend with the in-laws sounds good. I bet everyone else in the house is hating on you for only gaining 1/2 while they packed some on...I know I would be.

Turns out I WON'T be out of town today and tomorrow. GOOD!!!

Renee, drama free is always a good thing! LOL

Susan, your cluttered is SO not my cluttered. Right now, my house resembles a dump. Okay, not quite that bad, but you get the picture.

We've got too much stuff. Our house should be plenty big enough for two people. Time to chunk the junk!

Hi all!

I had a very nice extra long weekend. Slept in, went shopping, biking, went out to dinner one night, saw a play at The Kennedy Center, read... And best of all, it was nice to be away from the office!

Will check back later when I have more time to chat.

hey guys!!! Enjoying the short week although we started testing yesterday so stressed about that. Had an emotional Monday dealing with the fact that ed's new girlfriend will be picking allen up from school on wednesdays after his band practice. Bitter pill to swallow I guess.

I have my annual review at 1 - stressed about that too.

Lisa, yes, baby steps will get you there, especially since you have given yourself a realistic goal of 3 months.

Patty, your weekend sounds PERFECT!

Kim, yes, that's hard to deal with. Ed is such an a$$ for making the kids have to put up with that but when there's nothing you can do you just have to take a deep breath and let it go. Good luck with the eval...I know it will be good!

Busy day, busy week.

Kim. It'll be OK.

Busy week, S, but you have something to look forward to.

What play did you see, Patty?

Decluttering - yes!! I decluttered my house of my weekend company finally! Going up to Mom's this weekend and am determined to do at least one drawer or cupboard every time I go. Last time I tossed a whole garbage bag full of videotapes ... stuff John had taped off TV ... in BETA!!!

Renee, sounds like you are handling the whole thing super!

3 ladies from Houston, Texas who are visiting the area played with our tennis group this a.m. Fun to have new players! Golf outing and end-of-year BBQ this afternoon.

Kim -

Susan - Hectic week for me, too! I need more time off -- a real vacation, preferably! Are you psyched about the reunion?

Lisa - Baby steps sounds like the way to go!

Renee - Glad you didn't gain like the others!

Linda - Have you been watching the US Open? I watched some of the young sensation's (Oudin) match last night. Too bad she lost, but she did great though getting as far as she did.

Good morning. Made it through the busiest part of the week (I hope!). The rest is fun! Tonight is a big dinner/event and Mr. Crush will be there. Tomorrow night is tailgate with high school friends then dinner with my two best girlfriends from home, Saturday is lunch with more old local friends and dinner/dance at the country club, Sunday is dinner with my parents and I haven't seen them since May so looking forward to that, too!

Linda, what a fun day you had! Yes, I am so looking forward to the weekend!

Patty, I hear you on the vacation!!! I am waiting for the weather to get cooler to take one...I just want to make a big pot of soup or spaghetti and lie on the couch under a blanket with a good book and lots of old movies and veg for days!!! Yes, I'm EXCITED!!!

Lisa, have a safe trip. I am praying for good news for FIL.

Ok, here I am You gals have to kick my butt if I don't stay on the wagon this time, I am tired of fat jeans! No excuses, my "baby" is 2 1/2 and my big boy just turned 4

Today is day 3 and I'm doing fine so far, this weekend will be the first test with a party at my Scott's dad's house... Scott is doing great by the way, he's lost about 60 pounds since he re-started in the spring (was 70 until vacation )

If you haven't seen them on facebook yet, I posted a bunch of pictures from our Disney trip. The kids had a blast! Ugggggh, it's hard to get back to real life after such a fun week...

Been maintaining the last two days - somehow - ate like crap over the holiday weekend, drank too much and ate terrible yesterday...doesn't make sense but not going to argue one bit.

Very busy at work - enough said on that topic, what am I in management? Enough said.

Going camping this weekend with D-BIL/SIL - should be fun but rain is in the forecast.

Well, have a good day all! Renee

HI SARAH!!!

Yay, Sarah! I was hoping you'd show up! Now we can all get in a big circle and kick each others' butts.

It was beautiful here today. We had a nice golf outing with some visiting ladies.

Cool Patty! - I saw that years ago! So it's still playing!

Sarah!!!! Woohoo!!!

It has been a crazy busy week. We started the athlete testing for the new grant this week. Came to the realization today that 1) we don;t have enough manpower to actually do it well and 2) it is a LOT slower than the old grant so we can't bring in as many girls at a time...which means I need to almost double the numbe rof dates we're testing and that will mean more days off from the schools, etc. I've pretty much had a nonstop headache for 4 days

but I did get a very nice eval and for once my boss actually had some very nice things to say and put in for a special merit pay for me.....and the first time in my life I asked for a wage evaluation as I found out my salary is actually in the bottom 25% compared athletic traienrs across the country with my education and 17 years experience. So Tim said he'd go to bat for it...so crossing my fingers

TGIF!

What a dreary day here...it's raining like crazy. It's needed though, so no complaints from me! I would've preferred to stay home and curl up with a good book rather than work. Oh well...

Lisa - Hope all goes well for your FIL.

Susan - Have a blast this weekend!

SARAH!!! - It's so great to see you here again! If Scott can do it (congrats to him!), you can too! Can't believe your first born is 4!

Renee - Have a great time camping!

Linda - Yep. Been playing for 20 years now!

Kim - I knew you'd get an excellent evaluation! You definitely need to be compensated fairly with your background and education! I'm sure they'll come through for you.

It's pouring here too, so I'll have to be creative to keep these little boys from climbing the walls and making me crazy!

Well three days down, a lifetime to go. I made a batch of Dobie muffins this morning, must be the first time in 4 or 5 years? They are better than I remember, even the boys ate them

We're off to Wegmans to see if they will exchange my BPA liner Sigg bottles and I need to pick up some LC basics, I forgot how quickly I go through eggs when I'm not eating junk food for breakfast

TGIF!!! The event last night was a blast and I sat next to Mr. Crush at dinner. I was afraid after eating dinner so late plus not having control over the food (I did okay...stuffed chicken breast en croute so I daintly worked the chicken out of the pastry with wild rice which I skipped and julienned veggies which I devoured) I would gain but I didn't. AND...big news...I'm down 26 pounds since my doctor visit in mid-June.

Sarah! It's good to have you back! I can't believe your kids are that old!!! Wow, that makes ME feel old, lol! I remember when you and Scott got married! I'm glad he's doing well and congratulations to him for the weightloss! You can do it, too, girl. Stick with us!!!

Have fun camping, Renee. I hope you don't get rained out!

Thanks, Lisa. Have a safe trip to the hospital with FIL.

Linda, nice that the ladies have locals to play golf with.

Kim, sorry about the headache and all the work! The weekend is almost here, though (but knowing you you won't slow down for that, either ). I knew you would get a good review! Woohoo, I hope the raise comes through!!!

Patty, stay dry! I was a little miffed when I saw our forecast this morning...first rainy weekend in a loooooong time, supposed to rain all day both days, and I'm going to be out of town. I wanted to do exactly what you described but oh well, maybe next weekend!

Thanks, ladies! I'm psyched. Of course, with all the eating I'll be doing this weekend I probably won't be weighing in until mid-week.
