Thanks, Liz! I'll think I'll try that Fage stuff. Haven't tried my hand at that yet, but I'll give it a shot.

I appreciate your encouragement - it means more than you know.

I was down 4 lbs last night at TOPS and I am 3/4 lb from my low end of leeway. The stressful and worrisome weekend may have contributed to it. And to think I used to binge like crazy when feeling emotions LOL. It isn't that I didn't eat, I just didn't eat between meals for a change. BTW, SG and I are OK. I worried for nothing LOL.

5 things that make winter nights better?

1. Candles

2. Someone to snuggle with.

3. An afghan

4. Herbal tea

5. Kitties on your lap or at your feet.

Happy Birthday to me, Happy Birthday to me

I woke up after having two terrible dreams with an awful headache and a food hangover, yes a food hangover I've not been doing well with my food and that's all I'll say because I just want to move on.

So, today's a new day and it's my birthday. I woke up to someone ringing the doorbell and I looked through the peephole and there was some guy I didn't recognize in a red sportscar so I didn't open the door. Then I saw him bed over and put something in front of my door. When I saw him at his car, I opened the door and there were a dozen beautiful roses with a baloon from Roger. Atleast I think it's Roger. I guess I'd better go open the card.............................................. .................................................. ...........................................yes, they're from Roger.

I am cooking one of my favorite breaksfasts right now, oatmeal with a scoop of JR PP. I will then get in the shower and go to the beach to meet my friend, Renee. We both love the beach and will meet there and have lunch at a little place on the beach and if the weather holds out we'll go swimming afterwards. It looks like rain. But, we'll just enjoy the rain on the beach from the cafe overlooking it. I plan to treat myself to a manicure and a pedicure later this afternoon and then Roger is taking me out to dinner. He wanted to take me to a fancy restaurant and I just can't see it. Fancy restaurants are not something I really enjoy. I like a nice ambiance but I also want to get enough food and I find the pricier the restaurants, the less food you get. So, I told him I want to go to Outback. I plan to get a nice big steak, broccoli, sauteed mushrooms and onions and a salad.

Have a wonderful day guys, I plan to.

Happy Birthday, Linda!!!!! I hope you have a great day!

Don't worry about your eating - you've been under a lot of stress lately. You'll get back on track.

What is JR PP? Did J. R. Ewing have to go potty? Sorry, couldn't resist.

Here's my eating plan today:

B-2 slices of provolone cheese and 2 deviled eggs
L-1 chicken thigh and 1 chicken leg
D-Hamburger patty with salsa and sour cream mixed together, 1 slice of onion, 1 slice of tomato and dill pickles. Small lettuce only salad with EVOO and vinegar.

Snack-SF raspberry jello with a shot of LF redi-whip

Some diet, huh??? I love it!!!!

Take care and STAY STRONG!

Hello everyone....

I got back from my sister's Tuesday night. I had a wonderful time.
It's a good thing that I go there just once a year. I gained 6.8 lbs!!!

Of course, now that I am home and back on plan, that will come off pretty quickly.

I was DOWN 2 lbs this morning.

I didn't think the 6.8 lbs would stick around for long. It is amazing how fast I gain when eating what most people who don't know anything about low-carb eating call "normal." It's hard to believe what eating lots of carbs does to my arthritis too. I pay double when I go off plan for more than one meal....so why do I do it? I tried not to....even took my protein powder and SF syrup with me (used it only once), but "food is love" to my sister and she's a MARVELOUS cook. She just doesn't "get it" about this WOE. I think it actually hurts her feelings when I don't eat her food. I caved WAY too many times. But, now that I'm home I will take it off quickly....so there really won't be permanent damage. And I DO enjoy her cooking....even if it is poison to me.

I missed you guys, but was so much on the go that I wasn't on the computer all that much. I love going places, but it's always good to get back home.

Guess I'd better get my rear in gear. KUTGW and have a great day!!

Sam, Even I can't believe I am under goal LOL.

Happy Birthday Linda. I haven't been to an Outback steakhouse in years, but, now I know what to order if and when I do go again.

Judy, you have been so steadily losing and look, off comes the few pounds you gained at sis's.

Gibby, the salsa burger sounds yummy.

Liz and Lei, it is sooooo good to see you guys back.

Tonight we had the best supper, most of it was fresh from the farm stand or farmer's market: Ugly green beans, corn on cob, watermelon, brat and burger. I know a bit high in carbs, but they are natural. If it comes in the form of a veggie or fruit (except potatoe) I am not going to worry too much. I can't pass up the fresh-from-the-garden produce. I even bought a butternut squash and cantalope.

Tomorrow for breakfast I am making Scotch Eggs because 9 yr old likes them.

Good morning....I am a happy camper this morning.... I am DOWN another 2.4 lbs.

If only the "real" fat would come off this fast. But....the longer ya carry it, the longer it takes to get it off.
At least that's the way my body seems to work.

We are having beautiful Fall weather. For the next 10 days the highs are supposed to be from 68* to 76*.
My kinda weather. I LOVE Spring and Fall.

Here's Today's Meditation. It's an especially good one. One I firmly believe in.

Gotta run....KUTGW everyone....WCBL!!

Extremely low-carb. Some days just protein (meat & eggs)....some days a small amount of LC veggies added to the protein.....some days I'll have a homemade protein shake for lunch. Quite often I have a cup of homemade hot chocolate as a snack in the evening (around 7:00 or so).

Today for lunch I had 3 medium celery sticks with 1 Tbsp of Bacon/Ranch Dressing for a dip. I just wasn't hungry. Dinner will be between 1/2 a lb and 1 lb of ground chuck either grilled or fried with a little shredded cheddar cheese sprinkled on top.

I drink ONLY decaf coffee and tea and of course, water....water....water. Although, it's hard to get enough plain water in. That's something I'm always working on.

Add more fats to your diet... I'm just sayin'... People are so scared to add fats cause they think it will stall them, or make the scale move the wrong way... Adding fats does the complete opposite... Your fats should consume at least 65% of your daily consumption... Humor yourself, and try it...

Today's question of the day:

Name 5 celebrities you would like to be trapped in an elevator with

I keep a stash of SF candy in a jar on my desk at work. Things like SF Werthers, Lifesaver of all sorts etc. But, once in a while I splurge on SF chocolates (Russel Stovers and others). While at my local, small Walmart, I was picking up some bags and threw a gold bag of peanut caramel clusters into the cart.

After eating all the pieces over about 2 days, I looked at the bag and saw that the brand was Weight Watchers and the label indicated that I was eating a fair amount of carbs (I don't remember how much now) and that the carbs did NOT come from sugar alcohols like they do in other brands.

Now, it was my fault for not reading the brand or label first. So, once again, I learned my lesson ARGH

Good morning....I was DOWN another 1.2 lbs this morning.

How long will this last before I get a bounce UP?? I will be eating more today than I have been, but will still be on plan. I'm going to a breakfast buffet for my brother-in-law this morning so I'll be able to stick to meat and eggs. However, I normally don't eat breakfast....and since this is at 9:15am, I'll need to eat dinner tonight too. I'll have rotisserie chicken or hamburger for dinner so it WILL be an on-plan day.

Have a Super Saturday, everyone.....See ya all tomorrow!!

UGH. How do I go out, be social, and have a few drinks, without totally going off plan?? It's as though that is impossible for me right now! My motivation isn't there or something, so I am still being completely half-hearted. GRRRR.
