Pat, I hear ya on the 4th! I'm Bah Humbug about it too.

The old man wanted to go to the fireworks and all I could think of was what a biyatch it would be to get home when they ended!

Plus, Jake is skeered

of the noise. He would have been having a fit!

It was bad enuf that there were several homes in the 'hood with their own fireworks. It got pretty loud for awhile! Poor Jake!

I hear ya on the pine pollen! I had the reddest eyes the other day for about 3 days. I would wake up with my eyelashes almost glued shut! It was ewwwww! I had to do eye drops and allergy meds for a few days. I looked like the old Dracula from years ago with the bloodshot whites! I skeered even myself!

Ireland countdown is here! I can't believe we leave next week!

We had a pretty mellow 4th but did watch fireworks up front and VERY close. The kids have never been that close before so it was fun to see their reactions.

It is hard to work after a 3 day weekend!

Pat, My DBF is from Ireland and he is the only one in the states the rest of his family are in Ireland and Spain. It's his brothers wedding that we are going to. My parents are coming with as well so it should be great to get our families together. How much water weight can I lose in one week and one day?

I bought some arm covers from there and one of those sites had a review from a Maryam. Was that you?
I bought them for sun protection when we go Yak'n.

oh and today my baby turns 12 so i will be having wine with dinner to celebrate that i am officially an old mother! other ds turned 14 last week... ( ouch)... and funny thing, we went to eat at my dad's wednesday and when he went to kiss my dad goodbye....my dad's face dropped! my son is taller than him and my dad is 5'11"...holy crap! and he has a good 4 more years of growing... and the little chit that is 12 today is as tall as me....and i am 5'6-1/2" so there! i need to drink my shortness and ageness tonite ( yes! its a word!)

I'm still here for another day! We leave Wednesday morning. I finally found a flippin dress to wear to the wedding! I don't know how many stores I went into yesterday and finally found one at TJ Maxx for $30 bucks!! Score!
